Hey, i wish to come back to play the DA games, but had a little issue with the ChargenMorph compiler last time A thing that confused me last time is, somehow, this tool seemed to merge DAO mods and DA2 mods together. But I have them both installed on different paths and connected correctly. So the problem is, 1) I play DAO and everything worked just fine 2) i played DA2 and it worked just fine 3) i wanted to go back to DAO and….. the game didn’t recognize any of my mods anymore. As in, i had the same character creation mods as I left DAO last time. But when i wanted to create a character, hair, eyes, presets and textures were just vanilla. So i had do a clean re install and re install all my mods, too. How can i prevent that from happening again?
The two ChargenMorph files getting confused doesn't happen mainly because it's looking for the xml file in the two separate places/directories on your computer. It sounds like your ChargenMorph file for DAO got set back to vanilla. Which you can do via the ChargenMorph compiler so it might have happened instead of a merge when you last tried to update your files. When that happens your mods are still there provided they're in your override file or installed via .dazip. It's just the ChargenMorph file isn't telling the CC they're there. I'd personally re-mod and make a back up of your edited ChargenMorph file once everything works and store it somewhere safe so if it happens again you can easily pop it back in. I personally also always have a backup folder of my favorite .dazip mods so I can easily reinstall those if/as needed.
Perfect Timing I needed something to watch on my phone while folding laundry before bed.

@@FoodThenGames Yeah, that makes sense. I will just do that, thanks
Are you not doing Awakenings and Witch Hunt for origins and not Legacy for DA2????
I'll be doing all the big DLCs for DA2. However I won't be doing Awakening or the other DLCs I might have left for DAO.
