Omg!!! What a huge difference from my honeymoon in 2010 and family vacation in 2011 . Looks amazing now total renovation . Love it thank you for sharing this awesome video 😬❤️👍
nice job James, you covered the place well, I was just there for 3-days and didn't even know there was more out back of the green section... missed all that, but had plenty to do on the poolside where I was staying... this place is perfect for a nice relaxing getaway!!!
I can't stress how cool it is you ran the tour for everyone. You helped people more then you can imagine. It's refreshing to see someone who isn't self absorbed with you tube. Most vids to help show the people more then the resorts. Again Ty. You have any excursion for fishing or island hoping suggestions? Thanks man !
playinragz We have friends on the island so we like the local stuff. We have fished twice with Lil B fishing tours. Captain Les does 1/2 day trips for $60 a person and he is a great guide and person. If you like beer the Sands brewery is a must and its like $15 a person and the people there are a very cool. For food there are several places that are awesome and not food chain. Look up Bishops if you want some great Conch fritters and fish, and the setting itself is way cool. Gold Rock beach is in Lucayan National Park its like $5 a person and is well worth it. One of the most amazing beaches and water you will find. If you stay at Wyndham and need a taxi driver go out to the taxi hut (Next to front gate) and look for Lucky he is a very cool dude and very informative. We go the the island every year and will continue. Some of the best people in the world.
Thanks for taking time to do this showing, James Bradley. Totally awesome. We are planning a vacation for some time in the second or third week of October this year and we were having the Memories resort in mind. Now, however, I am divided. I am glad we didn't make the reservation yet because this sure looks really nice. Reason we had Memories in mind was because we stayed in Memories when we did the all-inclusive Varadero in 2014 and we had a great time. Which ever it is, this or Memories, we're making it the Bahamas in October. Thanks for sharing this, James Bradley :-)
We have stayed at Memories too and loved it. It does have some advantages over Fortuna like the location and food. We plan on staying there next trip. Hope your trip goes well I think the only way you have a bad trip to Grand Bahama is if you make it one.
James Bradley Thanks for taking the time to reply to my comment. I can feel your kind of heart from the tone of your comment and I think you are a very good contact to have. I am obsessed with vacations and vacation videos especially when the summer is over back here at home. I caught the fever when I went on our first vacation which was a cruise in 2013. The experience on the ship itself was the nearest thing to death for me due to sea-sickness but the islands is my best experience, as well as what got me started into vacations. I am Canadian and a bit new to vacations compared with a lot of people. How many other places have you visited besides the Bahamas? Were they all-inclusive too? For me from 2013 till date we go on vacation once a year. But last night we decided to make that at least 2 times a year. From February 29 this year we did the all-inclusive Royal Decameron, Panama for 2 weeks. Last night we decided on the all-inclusive Memories, Grand Bahamas and my wife is about to book it for 1 week from October 15 to October 22nd. We may sneak one in in December I am not sure yet, but we are definitely going somewhere in February/March 2017 though I am not sure yet where. March last year we did the all-inclusive Be Live Collections, Punta Cana for one week. March 2014 we did the all-inclusive Memories, Varadero, Cuba. I have a lot of the Caribbean on my list which include, the Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, Saint Martins, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, Saint Lucia, The Cayman Islands, Aruba, Belize, Costa Rica, Antigua, Saint Thomas...etc. Thanks for the correspondence James :-)
+Mitchell Sam we usually do the Bahamas and Florida I call it pre retirement shopping. we just make sure we see the ocean it seems to be good for us. Sounds like you have a great plan stick to it. I suggest everyone find that happy place as often as possible. For future natural ginger pills are great for sea sickness. have fun and enjoy
No problem hope it helped I know I sound a little on the country side but hey cant help it. I originally made it just for the family and friends going this year. Did not think it would ever get this many hits and actually help. I know they have updated the buffet restaurant and excited to see it in a few weeks.
Vickie Harris we have never had an issue with that. We have always tipped the housekeepers a little and they have taken care of us. We try to take it directly to them. If they forgot we just asked them.and got some within minutes usually.
Vickie Harris my wife pointed out if you are talking about pool towels you get 1 towel card per person. You turn in Towel and get your card back and sometimes they run out but will get more during the day. So if you don't need to turn it in you may hang on to it. They do have a laundry on site if you take your own.
My girlfriend and I stayed here in late June 2019. The Wyndham resort and surrounding property is very attractive. There was minimum nighttime entertainment. There was no live bands, comedians, or a movie theater for a rainy day. Yes, it does rain in paradise. The resort was kept clean by the staff and everyone was polite. This place appeals to 20-30 year old adults. The food variety was adequate and alternate Chinese or Italian dining was limited. NO! I would not return again to this Island or Resort.
Thanks for the information. Is the food included in the stay? I would also like to ask is can I ride my wheelchair ♿ to the beach.and get in the water.
Yes food is included. It has been almost two years since we have been back now. They do have wheelchair accessible spots on the beach but they are a little ways away from the water. I do believe they have staff to help with getting there though.
Sorry been away for a bit. It all depends on what you want to do. They usually have dance music after the nightly show and sometime last till late night. But if you have a room that is a little ways away from the main bar area you wont even know they are there. We have stayed close and it never bothered us.
Well of course its impossible to say but we are about to leave tomorrow for our 7th trip to the grand Bahama Island (6th time Whyndham) and we have only seen rain maybe 3 days al together and not much then. There is always a chance due to the area but its usually okay.
For everyone going soon look up a taxi driver out front of the resort named Morris. He will give you a great price on taking you anywhere on the island and does a great tour at a great price.
We are going back in about 3 weeks (June 16th on island 6 nights). If you go checking out the island you have to find Bishops Restaurant and try fresh conch fritters and fish. A little far to it but worth the drive. Best food we have had there.
Hey I am putting together a video I filmed while I was there this 4th of July. But I didn't get enough coverage and I was wondering if I could use your video to fill in some holes? I will of course give on screen credit with a link to your video in the description. Let me know if this would be okay.
they have a DJ at night sometimes either in the main bar area or night club building. they also have a beach party I think once a week. they change up the schedule I think but you can usually find something going in till late night early morning if you want.
Lynn Bernard you can ask for ocean view but I do not think you get specific rooms unless they changed it since last summer. When you pay extra for the ocean view it could be just a partial ocean view. They say if you can see the water it's ocean view. We have been lucky a few times to get great views.
Yes, I suppose much like anywhere else really. Sometimes though, the rooms that are right on the beach (not just ocean view) are VIP rooms and you can actually booked them with an upgrade to VIP. "Sometimes" lol Thanks for the info and for the great video.
+Joel Flores They have a local beer called Sands and maybe Kalik at times. Kinda like a bud light. If you go to the Sands brewery you can try several types they have. Worth the few bucks it cost to take tour.
Guess the biggest thing is to relax don't be in a hurry for anything. Take advantage of the Taxi guys out front they can take you on great tours. We used Morris a couple times last time. Be good to the bartenders and they will return the favor Farentino and Charles at main bar inside are very cool dudes. Tell them the Bradleys from Arkansas said hey. Like I said most of all relax dont let the little things get to you because for the most part they can be fixed and will. If you like to fish take a look at Lil B Fishing Tours $60 person over half day and great people. Check some of my other comments for suggestions. Have fun and enjoy the island meet island people and branch out have food off resort make sure you try EVERYTHING Conch you can. Have fun.
you can prebook a shuttle before you go - I saw them for $10 each way... only 10-15 mins away, hotel doesn't have a shuttle, but would be nice if they did!!! I was lucky to be picked up from FPO by a friends, friend... but taxied back - $28 RT for 3 of us. Make sure you get a price before getting in a taxi!!!
Nice video tour wish everyone did a thorough walk thru on their resort vacation in Carribean. Gives us a perspective on what to expect. Thx so much!
Omg!!! What a huge difference from my honeymoon in 2010 and family vacation in 2011 . Looks amazing now total renovation . Love it thank you for sharing this awesome video 😬❤️👍
I was just there and even more improvements since this video, the Junkeroo buffet is very open and modern now!

I have been there in 2016 like last week I came back same resort I loved it I miss it so much
this was very helpful and got me excited. Lucked up and got an all inclusive with air here in june for just 449. Thanks for this video

Did you get your deal on groupon? How was it? Were there a bunch of fees? I'm currently looking at that exact price for air and hotel. Thanks
We go through gobahamas.com never an issue
Great Job! Thanks a million!!!
We're here now, 2019, they made some nice changes here. Yes, you CANNOT get in your room until after 3:00 pm.
Thank you! That helps. I'm going there this July! 😃
cool have fun we will be there again in June excited to see the upgrades. we will post updates then
+James Bradley i appreciate the help!
Awsome ! You mentioned gold rock beach , clarity of water, where is that beach ?
Wonderful video! Thanks for sharing. Quick questions, I’ve been reading where people have complained about lack of towels. Should we bring our own?
Vickie Harris we have never had an issue with that. We have always tipped the housekeepers a little and they have taken care of us. We try to take it directly to them. If they forgot we just asked them.and got some within minutes usually.

Is it a quiet resort? Or do they like to party? Thank you aha, I'm going soon and want to know what to expect aha! Thanks for the video!

hello!! I'm planning to go in 2 weeks but looking at the weather in June scares me a little. was there rain while you were there?

we just went last month no ac but still pretty nice we lucked out and got moses he was great
Do the reserved restaurants come with the all inclusive perk of this resort...or are those extra costs depending on what you order?
They are included you just have to reserve them when you check in.
I'm going there next month... I don't see any motorized sports...Are there any jet skis or boats on the resort?
the resort does not provide motorized but they are available around the island and some times just off resort property.
wonderful video :) do they also have a pool bar there?
+Tschnetti No they have a beach bar and the main bar both are close to the pool.
+Tschnetti the beach bar also has food like hot dogs, burgers and fries. So you rarely have to leave the awesome beach.
great video..thanks a lot!! we are heading there next month..so excited!!
are they places to rent scooters??
yes in town by the market place
+James Bradley thank you so much..would you happen to know the price range?

Great video. Very informative... Is there any nightlife?

+James Bradley thank you
Any suggestions on how to book those rooms right on the beach....near that scuba shack? The ones without the obstructing view of the ocean?
Lynn Bernard you can ask for ocean view but I do not think you get specific rooms unless they changed it since last summer. When you pay extra for the ocean view it could be just a partial ocean view. They say if you can see the water it's ocean view. We have been lucky a few times to get great views.

i was wondering, what kind of beer do they provide there?
+Joel Flores They have a local beer called Sands and maybe Kalik at times. Kinda like a bud light. If you go to the Sands brewery you can try several types they have. Worth the few bucks it cost to take tour.
Joel Flores
The only real video of this place
Jonathan Travis Thats another reason I went ahead and put it on RUclips. Just not much out there.
We will be arriving in two days! Any tips on how to maximize the fun?
Guess the biggest thing is to relax don't be in a hurry for anything. Take advantage of the Taxi guys out front they can take you on great tours. We used Morris a couple times last time. +James Bradley thanks man! I'll def find those dudes and tell them you guys say hello!
my wife and i are going in august. how do you get to the hotel from the airport a shuttle or taxi?
you can prebook a shuttle before you go - I saw them for $10 each way... only 10-15 mins away, hotel doesn't have a shuttle, but would be nice if they did!!! I was lucky to be picked up from FPO by a friends, friend... but taxied back - $28 RT for 3 of us. Make sure you get a price before getting in a taxi!!!
What is the night life like?
what time did u get there
How about in the resort?
that's the beer they have there on resort just thought I would add about the brewery.
Thanks. Have to find place my handicap mom will be happy. See any motorized wheelchair there? Otherwise, My arms will hurt!
I have seen people in regular wheelchair there on a few occasions. I believe they have accessible rooms also.
Ty. Have a blessed weekend.
im coming 33 dodo from quebec
This resort looks dead... Thanks for the video
For the price not impressed
We don't book through the resort itself cause that is expensive. We use Bahama Paradise cruise line and gobahamas.com. That usually runs cheaper.
