I have one Plymouth Voyager 1985 SE, and every day, it's the same problem, at the time of startup! I was trying to fix de mixture to help the startup, and nothing, later I was trying to fix the minimun, and nothing. You know what problem have my minivan? This car for me it's a big treasure! Great video! Voyager 1985 for ever!
I remember my mom had 3 Dodge vans: A '97 or '98 Grand Caravan, a '03 Caravan, and a '10 Grand Caravan. Then she traded the '10 in for a new Subaru Forester, 'cause she has a LONG drive to work, and we can get nasty winters in PA. Great Subaru, but a lotta great memories in those vans. Dodge man for life!
Had a 1982 Plymouth Reliant with the 2.6 Mitsubishi four banger in it. The majority of the car was a bomb, but the mighty motor was a workhorse. Started up right away, every time.
as far as i can remember the 1984-1987 mitsubishi 4 cylinder engines they had a Mikuni carburetor as the chrysler 2.2L engines have a holley 2 barrel carburetor. it could be possible to put on a weber progressive 2 barrel carburetor on these these carb kits are popular on the air-cooled vw bugs and other vehicles at the time.
I have to ask a question what did you think of the Mitsubishi engine in that van because I have one with the same engine in it and it's been plaguing me with problems what did it do for you?
i don't understand the point of that....so 1121 do you do that on your normal everyday car??? turn the key back n forth countless times even though its fuel injected (ITS MECHANICAL) THAT MEANS....IT WON'T RUN UNTIL YOU.....START IT
kjilk simble hi! Thank you for your comments. Yea maybe I indulged with the key a bit too much...as Im a content provider for u tube...try to make the vlog interesting for everyone...its carburated Mitsubishi engine...so you can pump it a lot...but yea gonna keep it reel here so sorry about all the unnecessary key girations! Hey I have an idea ...send me a video of the most ideal cold start! Show me and all u tubers!

A second year Voyager van wow! When those came out in 1983 they were awesome. The Ford Aerostar from 85 was also nice

Perfect place to store the spare tire. You will always know where it is when you need it!

I have to admit, these vans are really nice. I especially like that this gen DID come with leather seats.
I used to own one but mine was an 86' voyager SE with the 2.6! was an awsome van!
once it's flooded - stop pumping, hold the pedal about 2/3 of the way down, and keep cranking.

I think that’s the same motor they put in the K cars back than.
DAMN IT, I miss the sound of a 2.6 at start up!!!!!
94 grand voyager checking in - 235k miles and it's a DD!

It ran good. But it was really old so sometimes the sensors...like one to the starter would not engage. Thanks for commenting!
I just pulled an 89' Voyager LE out of somebodys field and im fixing her like new.
Do you still have this wonderful beast? Every time I look at the front end of this car, it brings back so many memories.
when you pulled the dipstick that oil was black & thick as mud. :)
i have a 97 voyager with 180 thousand mile some minor issues but it is better than than new cars.
