I agree with you--Benu did a smart thing by adding a more subdued color material. Also, the pen model itself is somewhat closer to traditional than their others, yet it still available has that unique Benu feel. I know they have great attention to detail, and the facets lining up are proof of that. I have not yet purchased a Benu and the Eurphoria is likely to be my first, possibly in the Caviar color.
I always liked the design of a lot of the Benu models but many of the resin choices were way over the top for my tastes. Today I came across a used pen at a great price of this exact model and I agreed with you, it's the most conservative of the resin choices. The pen is a very well balanced writer unposted and the "bling" is just the right amount for my tastes. A nice shimmer ink is a requirement for this pen. I'm using Diamine Night Sky at the moment for its first fill. Thank you for the review.
So far this is the perfect Benu for me. I likke the design, I like the amount of the shinny particles and the size and quality. I really enjoy it. With the Diamine Inkvent Calendar 2019 Solstice.
I like that the box is completely reciclable, but I have a lot of respect for the cardboard engineering that goes into this boxes so this is precisely the one I would want to keep.

I usually keep all the boxes and I like how this pen gives us the choice of keeping it or recicle it.
Yes, I agree this is very smart of Benu.
I think they will gather new buyers...
