Believe me when I saw I wish I saw this video before I started my salvage journey this guy is right Bought a 420d 3,700 currently stuck with it hard to sell had the mindset big car bigger profit but the truth is not many people have big cash to part with START SMALL
Been here from the start mate and here is my truth. You sir have grown in leaps and bounds not just in the car industry but also within youtube your future is bright. You should be proud of yourself 👏
I’ve personally had a really bad time with copart and know quite a few others that have. There are whole Facebook and Reddit groups about it because they often go against their own policies
Did u see the end of this video? M2 content dropping Wednesday. Its a sponsored video so just needed to adjust a few bits. I gave a preview at the end of this vid.
Copart need a class action against them from what I’ve seen lately. SRUK has sent them an invoice for ‘extra damage’ they created after the auction. I would not buy from them.
Absolutely superb vlog Dee and pleased you are doing well I made a mistake few years ago cheap car but the delivery fees cost more than the car, sold it without a log book gave the person form to fill in and they didn’t put it in their name so you can imagine what occurred when they went through a speed camera, big lesson learnt but fortunately had every piece of evidence to prove my innocence 😃😃👍👍 kind regards to you and everyone out there
You are 100% right I've been in the motor trade 40 years this I'm a mechanic I would be doing customer car in the day and repairing and prepping cars for sale at night would sell a minimum of 8 car a month I've made the mistake of buying more expensive cars that take ten time long to sell and longer to find parts for that is why I stick to only selling cars of a maximum of 3 1/2 thousand pound stick more profitable much quicker turnover
Great vlog Dee, I agree with your views, I stay small have done since 1996, and i certainly remember Universal salvage on canvey island, I stay away from the high end stuff , latest job is a 2015 kia rio vr7 from copart as a non runner, my advice to newbies do your due diligence, look at the pictures in HD, check the car on vehicle score........to date I have not been bitten .....well not too bad lol. I love doing salvage bringing cars back to life the right way. for me the likes of copart need to be more regulated. I dont think they should sell any cat S cars to non trade......and you should prove you are trade. Cat N different game, its bolt on stuff. Keep up the good work and would love to see the mini done. I am going to pop in one day as you have moved near to me 🙂
One thing Iv learnt in business is keep your cards close to your chest and don’t give away your methods, this video seems to completely go against that but I guess RUclips is a new age and way of thriving. Hope it all works out well for you. 💪🏻
That’s a boomer mentality if I’ve ever heard one. Knowledge is power yes, however, most people won’t do anything about it when they learn what you are teaching. The ones that do, what are you worried about? They aren’t taking over your business are they and most information is out there anyway in the internet age. You won’t know anything that someone else doesn’t know😅
@@KeyBrosUK I know plenty others don’t know, by education and life experience, most of which the internet definitely will not teach you. Salvage cars buying and selling for views is already a competitive space on RUclips, and let’s be honest, most want to be the next Mat Armstrong, how long before another 30, 50 people are doing it? How many of those will continue getting views? It won’t last forever. One thing I can guarantee you is he won’t still be doing this in 20 years time. Make hay whilst the sun shines and give yourself the best chance at success
@@Mapa356 what I’m saying is that’s universal though, it’s nothing no one else can’t find out themselves if they look hard enough or do it themselves, obviously some things you only learn through experience I’m not saying you don’t, and it’s not an insult either. I’m a multi business owner myself but when I think about it there’s nothing I know that others couldn’t figure out with their own businesses if they wanted to🤷♂️yes, fully agree with the salvage game though very crowded space and the top channels don’t tend to make sense financially without the RUclips money either. I think the bubble will burst soon, and the trend, like every other trend, will be done. MA buys views, likes, and comments which a lot of the others haven’t figured out yet. Definitely gives him an edge and also makes it look like his channel is how many followers they *could* have. Really it’s not that much different from just using ads as the end result is the same it draws more views and engagement but a lot won’t do it as they think it’s a bad thing, or don’t see it as honest practice.
I want to see more of that mini I plan to buy a third mini to renovate and then sell bro happy doing what you do you are doing it well blesss from Dutch Amsterdam
Bless you bro , respect to you man always giving advice to us all , iv recently bought my first project but unfortunately it needs a new engine so iv took it out and waiting for a new one to put in 😂 like you say there’s ups and down to this game you win some and you lose ,some I guess I don’t have that eye like you yet 🤣👌😎 Respect SN💪🏻
A £450 car from the closest co-part to me is near enough £900 to £1000 with fees & delivered 🤨 Plus all the cars are either overpriced before live bidding starts, have mechanical/flood damage, have mad 130k+ mileage or all of the above 😂 Kinda wish I kept my membership fee in my back pocket. lol
Yo D. i like the mini county man and i would like to show more about the car and about the build. big up self and i like watching your videos keep up the hard work G
Yes Sir Dee. Thank you so much for sharing this vast information with us. Highly informative. You are the best. Weekly great content. Best personality and best channel. KIM.
Wicked informative video as always Deep. 👍 Good luck with the fake Mini, they're probably the worst car I've ever worked on. The car dealer I was working at stopped buying them because of the cost and ball ache to get them right.
Looks like Copart use selective photos hiding some damage, cause extra damages with loading unloading techniques and the fees look high, not for the amateur me thinks suppose it’s potluck as with most things
Dee, Been with you on your journey since nearly the start. I was your 251st subscriber, you've come such a long way, from repairing cars in a car park to your own place! Such progress is amazing, more content on the MINI please
This was really informative, great to see the highs and lows of the salvage game! Cheers Big D - PS more content is never a bad thing so let’s see more of this Mini! 💪
Keep up the work big man, been tuned in since the Homerton days and as already said you should be proud as punch of yourself cos I’m sure your subscribers are 🔥
Ahh Universal Salvage were to good old days and even better deals before they introduced online bidding. Sandy and Sandwich branches were great aswell. Never get anywhere near the same deals since Copart.
Ottomatic Dee yea😅good video this one, RUclips has glamorised the process but you have to be very careful. I’d say to anyone who isn’t a mechanic, just stay away it’s pointless you’ll lose money or worse than that you’ll hurt someone with substandard repairs. I stick to under 1.5k, pointless going over unless you’re selling through a company that then adds on costs for storage, tax, fees, staff, etc etc. Copart have ruined the game if I’m honest.
Man like Dee yuno.. my guy..👊🏾 another inspirational video bro always wanted to start the salvage game and after this video I'm going for it thanks to u my guy.. alot of guys doing this but no one does it like Dee still.. keep up the good work brother 💯💪🏾
@SALVAGENATION I hear you my brother but again it can't be a headache if your doing what you love doing bro. I'm like you bro I love cars with a bit of mechanical experience... but I'm fully with you bro I'm going for it 🙏🏾👊🏾
Alot of Categorised car's have not even been checked over by insurance assessor's properly either. I bought a scirocco as cat n but had hidden damage through the body. Where the rear control arm had pushed up into the body rippling across under the rear seats. But then there is some Cat S cars that dont even have structural damage. Suppose you win and loose some, playing the game with category cars.
Salvage cars have a bad name strictly because of the cowboys 🤠 if a car is done right and documented then the buyer should be more comfortable with the repair. Look up roger crook on ringers and that’s where it all started so the work and advice your giving is a huge game changer for the not so informed and should give them a better prospective on damaged repaired cars when looking for a first time car with that low budget. And YES 🙏🏾 show the build as there’s always something to learn. Keep up the good work MY G 👊🏽
Been doing myself on and off for many years I don't do any work myself which I would benefit more profit but generally the mark up is between £500 to £1200 tops all the headache it's not worth it.
Yes my bro great vid I’m new to this I brought a Ibiza from Copart changed all dash an airbags do you know anything about resetting the stiff power steering think it’s got a crash fault on due to the crash
If its not registered as i said you have to send the logbook WITHOUT TAXING and wait 6weeks. Its all about the tax, if you can tax you can drive sooner, cant tax and no logbook that car has to sit around for 6 weeks
Salvage game is headache you can end up just getting your money back what you spent after all your efforts sourcing parts and running around, Dee makes it look easy but definitely cheap under £2k cars easier to sell
The cattorgries from copart are not always correct I've bought cars that are cat s and damage has not been structure copart are inspecting these vehicles in house so going on there reputation enythink is possible.
Copart do people over 8/10 times. It’s a big risk if your new to the game. And even if you been on it for years you can still get stung. I took few big L’s from Copart.
Salvage was done 15 years ago, hard for resale. If anyone says different don’t trade cars. Earn more money buy straight cars than categorised. A lot of these RUclipsrs trying to get views but rather watch intelligent people than people doing modifications.
@@SALVAGENATIONif you earn from views hats off to you but anything longevity business isn’t going to work with overheads, turnaround of vehicles it’s just not a great business was doing it years ago got tired of it easier to just throw a lump in a none runner 💰 an then sell that. 👍🏻

Only IF it says “v5 on file” most cars comes with nothing by and you need to apply.
