Die Spielbude (translation: playhouse) was TV entertainment series for children run from 1982-1989. It offered a colorful mix of music, shows, attractions, children's talk and hobbies. Recorded in Hamburg.
Limahl and Kajagoogoo appeared few times in die Spielbude, all are on my playlist.
Comments: one of my favourites Limahl's performances in 1986, only one of 2 in daylight. You can see here Limahl in white sleeveless t-shirt, which hasn't happen since 1983 with Kajagoogoo. In Thames documentary "CBTV Special" (on my playlist) he explained why he liked to use sleeveless t-shirts. The reason behind it was the heat from the lights and equipment on scene, which was too much to bear- sleeveless t-shirt makes the experience a bit easier.

Thought Kajagoogoo finished in 1985,Can't remember this song,Must of released it in another Country else where
You're right not to remember it with Kajagoogoo, as it was from the second solo album of Limahl. It was specifically popular and promoted in Germany. Although like the rest of the singles from that album, due to the promotion errors didn't go well in charts.

No name I’m afraid. She was part of the hired backing band, although it’s not a live performance, this is using playback and lip sync. Only Limahls vocals are semi live.

Private collectors. Not sure how it was recorded- I believe it was DVD.

Da könntest du recht haben. Ich denke, zu diesem Zeitpunkt im Jahr 1986 wusste er bereits, dass "Colour All My Days" kein Erfolg werden würde (dieser Song war die letzte Single, die von seinem Album beworben wurde), also musste das einen Einfluss auf ihn haben.

@@darlenequinn193 he wasn’t. But it wasn’t what you think. You hear him cough at the end, it was a boiling hot day there in Hamburg. He hadn’t felt too good, heat drying up his throat. Which made for a slightly unhappy Limahl. That’s all. 🥵

@@darlenequinn193 I know, as I said he wasn’t ‘fine’. It was the intense heat that day, hence his vest, a dry throat, and him not feeling too good. However from experience I know Limahl can be angry, not show it and smile, he’s a consummate professional and performer.
