Very good player so hopefully he will get a good chance at Rangers though the spotlight will be on so may have made more sense to manage a lower league team out of the media glare but he clearly has the confidence.

I think it would've been ill-advised of Gerrard to make big promises like winning the league next season ect. Would only come back to bite him if he does turn out to be a failure at Rangers
He is definitely a breath of fresh air. Personally I thought Pedro was a gamble (unproven) and this appointment is the same.
Like any gamble, it could work but why take the chance, is my opinion.
Its done now so lets look at the positives.
He will definitely improve the morale around the club which is important. I think the team will improve under him and commercially he is good news.
I just do not believe he was the best choice and as a Celtic fan I cannot wait till August for the next old firm. The last few were too predictable.
So as SG says, " bring it on"
