Agree. Stevie G is a liverpool legend. The fella has so much credit in the bank for what he has done for club on the pitch, that he will never blamed or held accountable for that slip. Small mistakes lead to big moments in football. IMO we lost the league that year in the games following YNWA

There are many managers that are held in very high regard in how they manage and portray themselves, Gerrard is quickly becoming one of them.

Steven Gerrard is the greatest Manager in Scottish football history. The enormity of his achievement can't be realised by people south of the border. During his time at Ibrox, due to endless legal battles, Rangers haven't even been able to bring in revenue by selling their own replica kits.
He delivered the greatest achievement in our Club's history.
He is a great no doubt with what he did but its only one league he did the job he came in to do. Sir Walter is better by a mile so Mr Struth but he continues in this vain by all means he can be up der with the very very best as for now he isn't the best by a long shot

Let it go Stevie, you have done brilliant in football, and there are lots more great moments to come, if what I've seen is anything to go by. Funny thing about football 'supporters' though, we seem to reflect on our teams' lows more than the 'highs'.
It's not something you can just let go tbh. Even as a supporter, I can never let go of how bad I feel for Gerrard on that day and on his career never lifting the league title, what more him who actually went through that.
Excellent interview, Gerrard knows what he wants and has the get up and go to achieve it.

He will be remembered as a great player. It could have been a little bit greater had he led Liverpool to the league title. But if that slip eventually manages to drive him on to become a great manager, I'm sure he really won't care maybe a decade or two down the line about that afternoon at Anfield against Chelsea. Also, these podcasts are such a joy to listen to! So much more refreshing than the usual one on one interviews.
I could listen to Stevie talk about his experiences all the time even if I've heard it before. I wish he really could put those bad episodes in his career to bed. Can't wait for the full interview. Incredible podcast show keep it going!
