Although main armament and sensors stay the same, the combat system is national. It is the inital version of national combat system. Istanbul frigates which will replace these, have far sophisticated nationally produced sensors and weapons but also far advanced combat system.
@@theancientsancients1769 The official name of the ship of the class is İstif Class and they will replace Yavuz Class frigates, not Gabya class. Gabyas will be replaced by TF2000 destroyers

Only Somalia Air Force pilots and some essential ground crew (no more than total 30) training in Turkiye cause Somalia under UN order, which is not allowed to Somalia have an Air Force. Army and navy personnel are training at TurkSom military training base in Somalia. Since 2018, only hundreds of Somalian Navy personnel have been trained by Turkish personnel. TurkSom base can only train up to 1800 Somalian personnel a year. My comment Somalian Navy will start training with Turkish warships like Frigate and Ada class corvette. I believe Turkish ship yards soon or later will start building Ada class Corvettes or similar to one they build for Pakistani navy for Somalian Navy.

Yes, they upgraded them recently. They will be replaced by next decade with the Istanbul class frigates which one has been commissioned recently
