I do so agree with Tom Nutts. As an undergraduate I heard the Rose responses countless times conducted by the great man himself in Magdalen College Chapel. This recording absolutely does not do justice to them. What a shame!

The Rose responses are my favourites. I am afraid to say, though, that this is one of the worst performances I have ever heard of them. Perhaps it's the unwieldiness of combining 7 choirs, but it really is very shoddy.
