      @@lynnelorch4390 The case of Tilkium I agree. He should of never been taken from his pod. However zoos also do alot of good as well, with captive breeding programs to help animals close to extinction in thew wild. If you go to a zoo, always go to an accredited one.

      You make a valid point about empathy, but there’s a big difference between humans dealing with lockdowns and wild predators in captivity. Animals in enclosures often face lifelong confinement with limited freedom, which can lead to unnatural behavior and stress that humans might not fully relate to. It’s important to understand both perspectives!

Sometimes they are predictable sometimes they are completely crazy. Some more then others ect... Just go in the wild and se how cruel Animals really are. They don't Heed for your morality...

It's like if someone broke into your house would you not try and defend it and yourself? Well is the same for them why can't they .people are forever going in and out their enclosures in and out their territory day in and day out when at the end of the day they just want to be left the hell alone.

    Poor tilikum I don't blame him at all 😢 put in a tiny concrete tank 14 hours a day attacked by two other female orcas an eventually he snapped who wouldn't?!? After tilikum attach the first person he should have been released back into the ocean where he belonged. He had a sad life. They're not here for our entertainment or to line our pockets with money. He clearly wasn't well looked after either he died at 25 normally orcas can live anywhere between up to 60 and 90 years.

    • @msharkfury
      @msharkfury 17 дней назад +2

      Thank you for sharing your perspective; it's a valid point about the ethical concerns surrounding captive animals like Tilikum. However, releasing him into the wild after the first incident likely wouldn't have been viable. Having spent most of his life in captivity, Tilikum lacked the survival skills needed for the open ocean, and his health and socialization issues could have made reintegration dangerous for him and wild populations.
      While captivity isn't ideal for these intelligent creatures, the situation also highlights the need for reform in how marine parks operate, focusing on larger, more natural habitats and prioritizing their well-being over profit. It’s a complex issue, but your compassion for Tilikum is a reminder of why we need better policies for these incredible animals. 💙

      Circa 1980s the Minnesota Zoo had a polar bear exhibit. The exhibit only had a small water pool. The polar bear was swimming to the glass by the visitors, then it'd kick the wall and swim underwater until it reached "land" about 60 feet away. It'd kick off that wall and repeat and repeat non-stop. Even domestic animals like horses will go nutty when boxed too long.
      The bear was clearly bonkers and stuck in a mentally very bad frame of mind. What's so ironic is Minnesota, especially the Mnpls metro dwellers, like to pride themselves on how "progressive" they are. No comment.

The world went crazy when we had to stay home during lockdown. Can you imagine the impact being in a cage has on these animals? I went to a zoo the other day and saw a tiger pacing back and forth and literally coming close to the glass next to the viewers and give a little roar. I had a feeling that it must be agitated but watching this confirms that.

    Idk why the hell they didn’t let Tilikum back in the ocean?! He didn’t deserve a life like that. It’s no wonder why he attacked

    Eaten in front of visitors etc. not legit! The whale story, they used the same footage for both attacks. Title very misleading! 😮

    If they “all knew what tilikum and the other females were like” then why there people ever allowed to be anywhere near them let alone in the water with them? Should never have happened. They knew that whale was dangerous.

    These people have no common sense, and it’s not the animals fault that you’re going into their habitat that’s where they live and you’re acting a fool with no safety leave your windows down you’re feeding them you have no common sense and I can’t feel sorry for people like that and then sometimes the animals get shot in their own habitat because of idiots

    Waterlands should have control over water to regulate water levels in swimming pools when being attacked by orcas water should be reduced to very low level

    I don't feel bad for the trainer what soo ever!!! Poor orcas

    • @Cuil
      @Cuil 17 дней назад

      The trainers were just doing their job and loved the animals, they weren't the ones responsible for taking the animals out of the wild and keeping them cooped up, they were just there to train them, which was probably the only enrichment those poor things could get. The trainers and zookeepers were just as innocent as the animals themselves--it's the people running those organizations that were to blame in almost all of these cases.
