Hi thanks for the video! We just happened to encounter this problem again. Last time it cost us $10,000 New Zealand dollar to fix this issue from Audi. Cant believe it is happening again after no more than 2 years! I have a question, how do we go into this system so we can modify it? Thanks heaps! Linlin
Hello, first off all thank you, video was wery usefull. however, does this mean, that the adblue will be reading on from full tank, or will the car not use adblue? will the car stop after previously shown kilometers on dashboard?
Hi the basic readiness test with VCDS is explained as one of the steps. But the rest is done either with driving or you have to enable force regeneration with VCDS. NOx and Gas tests are only driving after regeneration.
Great video, thank you for the detailed explanation. I currently own an Peugout 308 1.6 hdi with that exact problem. Could you recommend a tool/connector for the software or is it an entire package that you purchased? 😊
@@bonevchannel Thank you for the quick response. As I understand, The Vdcs is a piece of software you put on your laptop. What do you use for connection to the car? Any OBD plug with a usb to connect to your laptop? Or does it have to be a special cable?
@@naskomasko That is what I suspected. Even software flash will not help you because this data is embedded in the ad blue computer. You need software adblue delete.
What if my DPF had regeneration 50km before and now I have 11g and 48%. I need to force regeration or not? The automatic test sequence is enough to get rid of this problem without regeneration of DPF? Cuz i have only 5km left and I’m asking If it is nessesery to drive it 49km too?
You have to force it into regeneration. Keep in mind if the test fails, which happened on my car, after 2 years of successfully avoiding this message, you will be stuck with 0 km and this is not good.
@@bonevchannel I need to do this steps right? 1. I should first make the steps in vcds (Tank, Lock and automatic sequence) 2. If the message is still on check the status in Carista 3. Catalix and nox are false force regen and drive it 50km or more if it pass the message should disapear Will this still do the sequence check if i run out of km while driving and doing the regen of dpf? If i will have 0km its not problem to get the car fix? Could you tell my in steps what i should do cuz its hard for me to undestand the video? 😔
@@tykalive8103 so if you ran out of miles/km there is a procedure in VCDS that you can reset the counter to show 50 km more. This will let you start the car.
@@tykalive8103 I think it was. I used it once, it works. If you cannot reset the message I would advise go fix the issue according to the error message or disable AdBlue system. Keep in mind changing components to see if it will work is expensive way. In most cases a knowledgeable tech will run diagnostics and if they know all the parameters of different components, they can tell where the issue is. Sometimes the issue is not in the AdBlue at all. It is in the DPF and Catalic converter.
Hi, thanks for sharing! I must ask you something, I hope you will find time to reply 😊 I did automatic test with VCDS and it is completed succesfully. This should be all or after that I must perform dpf regeneration? Thanks!
I did regeneration while standing using vcds. No start message is still visible. There are no fault codes, all tests are succesfull... Sorry to bother you but I am getting crazy because of this 😂 Maybe now I must drive 50km so that NOx is also checked? Thanks my friend
@@SALEIVKOVIC yes you should. The thing with this error message is that most likely you will have to find where the problem is coming from and there are a lot of parts that can trigger this.
@@bonevchannel I had P204F. After I delete it, since then I dont have any fault code. I waste all 1000km and now I am reseting after every 50km... This no start message should disappear during driving or after engine off and on again? I will not bother you anymore, thanks for your time! Enjoy your Q8 😊
@@SALEIVKOVIC it will disappear if everything passes. If not it will come back. The problem with your repairs are that the repair shop did I not diagnose properly. All those things by a you charged can be tested. Quite often the problem is not the AdBlue system at all. It is the DPF.
I think you can but I do not have one so cannot confirm it 100%. Now, getting rid of it does not mean it will not come back up. What I am showing is how to make the sister check it self so if nothing is wrong it will go away. If there is something wrong in your system then you need to fix it.
@@bonevchannel That's great, looking forward to seeing it! I've just had the dreaded adblue message appear on my b9 TDI at exactly 79000 miles. First it was just "range 650mi" message, then it was "no-restart 650mi", then it disappeared all together but engine management is light still on. Just ordered a ODEleven so hoping to get a fault code. I've had the car for about 9000 miles so I suspect I am quite low on adblue anyway. Going to top up with adblue and add a anti crystal agent, will look at cleaning the injector too. Hoping I can avoid the big repair bills. Thanks again for sharing the knowledge with this channel, it is much appreciated!

Good video - but what if you fix issue and only have 50kms to drive, so tests can't complete and car doesn't start again - how to reset then if you have to pass tests? lol
That will be a risky attempt. Have to make sure the garage is waiting for you because once you hit 0 the car will keep driving but once you stop it you will no longer be able to start unless the error was cleared.
I am not sure what do you mean but if you mean if you go down to 0 you will not be able to start - tested and confirmed 🙂 You will be able to start it only with special software for 50km.
