What an amazing human being. He acts as if his SATs scores of 1490 is nothing. He loves his friends and family and co-workers and respects everyone. Defends even the people who hurt him. He is such a superstar, a huge deal where the head of the network accepts all of his conditions just to have him and yet he is down to the earth. Anyone who has him in their life is so lucky. Really proud of him for how he leads the Walker set as a disneyland for the cast and crew and the show Walker is really good too. Can't wait for Walker:Independence.

Jared spoke some sweet, touching words about his pal/brother Jensen. Jared calling Jensen a hero 1:04:17. And saying how much he believes in Jensen, complimenting figuratively how he walks on water, at 1:03:27. And then saying he loves him dearly.
Wholesome, man. I’ve seen interviews of these guys since their start on spn and they were instantly friends, and to watch their bond/brotherhood continue to grow and deepen throughout all of these years, it’s just beautiful.
Such a good conversation with these two and I love how he touched on the 'prequel' debacle in such a gentle respectful way. The honest response from Jared was also insightful. Friends have disagreements how they resolve it is testimony to the friendship and that they've worked it out even if the fans haven't .
Also his admiration for Jensen's work ethic and professionalism, I loved hearing that too. More please from these wonderful guys and Mark Shepperd.

love this guy and was really sad to hear it sounds like he is another person Dr. Amen took advantage of. Scanning using SPECT to report on mental health and oxygen level is not something supported by the APA. I hope Jared is getting advice and care from other sources as well and not just this guy who makes it a practice to use his MD to scare the shit out of people when their brains function fine.
Because of your work on supernatural I am able to help my son not be afaird of the things that go dump in the night because Sam and Dean already got rid of all the monsters.. Thanks for the great memories man ...
I love Jared so much and I'm so glad he didn't stop acting. He is the perfect Cordel Walker can't imagine anyone else in the role just like he will always be the one and only Sam Winchester and the one and only Dean Forester.
He is great. I could maybe imagine Chuck Norris as Cordell Walker. Maybe he'd be a good one, but who knows.

As a Jared Padalecki fan for life, it’s true that I will always tune in to an interview featuring him. However, I do very much enjoy your podcast and have watched/listened to many of them. They are always enlightening, entertaining and often uplifting and/or helpful. Thank you for continuing to offer great content.
I guess I’m just gonna blow up the comments today. I just saw where y’all filmed this on the bday of Jared’s friend that is gone bc of suicide. Coincidentally, I’m watching 22 years and a day since I lost my very best friend and soul mate to suicide. I did wanna t or ch on one thing y’all mentioned though, about saying something. Bc I’ve been told this by friends and family since forever. Not to mention, how hurt I was that Jake didn’t reach out to me or any of our friends cuz I know that he shoulda known. The thing is, is you can find yourself in that darkness at the drop of a hat and also, you know all the things your ppl are going through and you just don’t wanna put even more onto them. For instance, I know that there are, honestly, a handful of people I could reach out to at any given moment. However, I also know I won’t bc I don’t wanna feel like even more of a burden to anyone in my life than I already do. Also, I’m a touch worried that I wouldn’t be answered or be dismissed, like whoever is busy, before I could say anything. And knowing myself, that would only hurt me more and drive me further into myself. The real messed up part is that, logically, I know where I stand with my family and with my friends. And I KNOW that it’s quite literally all in my head. And the upswing is just around the corner, as long as I can hold on. If I can just not drown in the darkness today. I will Always Keep Fighting bc I know I’m never alone.
I have been waiting for this podcast for like a month! I adore Jared and I’m so glad I found your channel. I love being able to listen to a sit down conversation between you and your guests because it’s always so honest and comfortable and you always ask the questions we want the answer to. Jared's right about people w deep depression not talking about it. In my personal experience, when you talk about it to the average non-depressive, they say things things like "just do something that makes you feel better" and the emotional labour of explaining how and why that doesn't work anymore is a massive effort in the mentally exhausted state you're in, plus there's a good chance they'll just label you as "weak" or "lazy" just because they don't understand.
It would be great if Michael invited Mitch Pileggi to the podcast

For sure Padalecki needs to get a second opinion on that. I googled that Dr Amen in Costa Mesa and the info is not looking great. A good number of people claiming he's a quack selling junk.
I like this dude. Supernatural is my favorite show of all time. Probably watched that bitch through at least 8-10 times. Never gets old. He’s good at seeming like a cool normal person when he’s doing interviews.

I'm totally with you. And it bothers me that there was a slight hint in Michael's words that seem to implie that he was the one who acted badly by writting those tweets. Also there is a huge diffrence in the way JP talked about this incident compared to what JA said in the las IoY interview, when he said that JP acted out because he had been drinking.

32:15 - Mr. Padalecki shrugs off his description of PTSD as "not legit PTSD," but he's not wrong. I get not wanting to take away from things like combat trauma, but post-traumatic stress is not limited to combat or life-threatening situations. If it impacted him that greatly, that's all the reasoning he needs. He's humble enough that he doesn't want to seem that self-centered, but downplaying it can also make it worse.
I'm not a therapist, so I'm just a guy running off at the "mouth" online, but if it affected him that strongly, that's the only thing that's relevant, not how others look at it.
part of the problem is not taking your problems seriously because other people 'have it worse' working on yourself shouldn't be seen as selfish or somehow making light of others who have it worse. it doesn't sound humble, it sounds like a cop out. he shouldn't publicly talk about it if he wont talk properly about it. he can keep it personal and get help, he's lucky can afford it ffs. its annoying
Also just wanted to say you are just the perfect interviewer and who you are as a person reflects on who follows you. This is one of the few places on youtube where there's no toxic comments. You created a peaceful side of RUclips and its great.

Jared seems kind of naive and more book smart than street smart. Whereas Jensen seems more street and less academic.
So I can see why the dynamic on SPN worked so well of Jared/Sam being the younger brother that Jensen/Dean had to protect and look after.
Finally I think it's cool he's actually a loner like I am, doesn't like going out or large groups, and is competitive with himself. I usually don't relate to celebrities because many are extroverted and obsessed with being busy.

God I relate to him so much. everything he says about his anxiety or how he works or his brain is wired, or how he tries to be soo unjudging of others…. And of course being Jensen’s biggest fan. I want that man to win an Oscar one day. I know he doesn’t care. But I believe with all my heart he can do it.

Another great episode. Each time I watch Jared on the podcast I'm a bigger fan as he comes across as so sweet and humble. Loved how he repeated the names of those with questions, as if Jared was talking to Michael's patrons directly. Such a personal touch.
Guests like this makes me miss the old school WB/CW shows. Maybe Walker or The Winchesters could have some Smallville cast members on their shows 😉

Jared is stunning hot, but the reason I am his fan is the respect I have for him. He's intelligent, talented and hard working, still he is humble and gives credit to everyone. He is loyal and forgiving (even with ppl I myself wouldn't forgive so easily). He is even more beautiful on the inside than on the outside. I never cared about any celebrity but he and Gen are one of the few people I'd like to meet. Love him.

I know you always start the shower off saying, “if you’re just here for…” and I’ve been wanting to say, for quite some time, that’s exactly what happened with me. Just before the final season of Supernatural started, I came across the one with Jensen. Then, saw you’d just had Jared on, as well. I may have that backwards. Then, saw you’d had like all the best people from SPN on leading up to that. And listened to those. Honestly, I was hooked into the first one bc of how open and honest you were about what you were dealing with and how open you were about your struggles and how absolutely relatable you are. At this point, I’ve listened to and watched so many of not just people I was already familiar with but some I had no clue. I even became a patreon and a was top tier for about 6 months until my truck broke down. Anyway, just really wanted to say I am here bc I wanted to hear who you had on that first time and now, I wanna say thanks! 💜💜💜

But then I slept on it and it made me think. Does anxiety cause low oxygen to the brain or does low oxygen to the brain cause anxiety and what was the symptoms you would need to have to check this out? I will be interested to know if that oxygen box has helped with Jared's (or yours if you're reading this, Jared) mental health. When I looked it up what it meant, 60% isn't good at all and I hope for a speedy recovery.

Before even watching this I have to commend the Jared and his wife for their outstanding character, mindfulness, and desire to be the change we want to see in the world!!!!
Second, I have to admit that there is a particular style of Jared's acting that my husband and I enjoy but also find it humorous and we call it the Padelecki, and when we see other actors doing something Jared-Like we call it the Padalecki bahahahaha
