This message is always for the others. Heard it from many pastors, pastors love it to elevate their own morality but want a house, a car, vacation, the logos software premium subscription, the fuel to drive to the church, flight and hotel to a conference and the list goes on and the congregation has to pay for it. Most of the pastors have that security mindedness but you call it a sin pointing to others. Thats why they became a pastor. You could preach on the street in the evenings after a regular job. We do it. Many do it! Have you ever preached that tithing is not biblical? And then cancelled tithing in your own church? You stand there on the stage of a building worth millions and outside people are hungry and cold. Not very "acts" and 2Cor like... And let me guess, you dont even care about what I write, because with your moral elevation, it all does not apply to you... Has anyone ever seen a pastor put money into an offering box?!? Pastors want a full time job and full time payment, but reading Gods word is part of their working time, hence paid... I saw it all. The books and commentaries they want... voila, paid by the congregation... I know preachers from home churches, gospelhalls and free churches, who just live from offerings out of an anonymous offering box and nothing else. Their work is for the glory of god and our offerings are for the glory of God. But i somehow think you have forgotten about 2Cor11. You preach just a fraction of that topic (well covered by Paul) because that fraction is the only you care about because its about the money that people give to their church... I listen to you and I remember why I walked away just to meet with others who take Christ serious. Serious that we all fulfill the great commission, all preach, all give, all pray, all care about each other. But Paul is clear, what you do, you do it for the glory of God and its between you and God. Its not to be talked about, at least not the way you do... You dont understand your own lesson...
@HB_IE52829, we're sorry to hear you've been hurt by church leaders in the past. Based on your comment, we encourage you to listen to the full playlist of our Generosity sermon series, where we discuss several of the problems you've brought up! ruclips.net/p/PLCWnNSTN-6XCwC4zRDDeq930f8Qbb3YjL
