Thanks for doing this. I just bought a 2004. I went from a 1986 Yamaha SRX 600 to a 1300 FJR. A big jump but I'm really enjoying the change to a bigger bike. I like doing my own maintenance so videos like this are appreciated
Great video mate you are so simple to follow please keep the fjr vids coming as I want to know everything about home servicing on my fjr, Big thumbs up from the UK👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks 😉👍🏻👊🏻
@@TheOldMechanic can you please do a video on how to fit a battery optimiser lead 🤞
Really appreciate these videos. Coolant change as the next video?
Plus 1 for the coolant change, fork seals and bushings would be great too. Especially the 2008 version, they have a 3rd middle bushing in the fork.
Brilliant. Cheers.
I always bleed brakes and clutch with usual method but then I reverse bleed with a syringe and then leave the levers gently pressed in and tie off with a zip tie overnight to let any tiny air bubbles come to highest point. I tap the calipers or slave cylinder and the hoses to the highest point.
probably need to replace the cup seals in the master cylinder of that lever
I don't understand what you were doing with the spanner at the bleed valve. You need to explain EXACTLY what you are doing for the motorcycle newbies like me.
you sqeez the clutch handle, and then you open and close the bleeding screw.. So that way you pump out the old brake fluid. 😉
Warum wird der fachmännische Beitrag nicht ins Deutsche übersetzt!
Hi Dieter I don't know
@@TheOldMechanic bro i need your phone number ?
Bei mir wirds ins Deutsche übersetzt - but the english version is absolutely sufficient. very easy to follow and very easy to understand. Although I am married to a beautiful netherland woman I am just glad the videos are not in dutch, LOL - as I dont really understand it. Excellent videos - I enjoy every FJR 1300 Video :-) My bike
