Wrong video clips used; it’s ROB Petrie, not Bob Petrie and it’s Van Dyke, not Dyke. Also, the “s” in Illinois is silent. The Dick Van Dyke show was a comedy, not a drama. His son, Barry’s last name is Van Dyke, not Van; and so on! The fact that there are so many errors I caught, makes me wonder how many other errors were there that I didn’t catch. It would’ve been a nice piece, had it not been for so many ridiculous mistakes that should easily have been caught by an editor, producer, or anyone else involved in this production. And the writer or researcher, if there was one, should have not made these mistakes. A little research and common sense would’ve prevented most of these mistakes. This is a shabby piece of journalism.
I have loved Dick Van Dyke since I can remember!! I graduated from Georgetown High School in Georgetown Ill 79. I was THRILLED to learn he grew up in Danville. I have always had a crush on Mr. Van Dyke. And when He married his wife, my heart soared because she is beautiful and makes him happy!! GOD Bless you Mr. and Mrs. Van Dyke, and family.

I recently saw a show where he and Mary Tyler Moore danced as part of the skit...they were tremendous together.... It was a great show!

I live in Danville,IL., Dick and Jerry's hometown. His childhood home is still standing and his parents are buried in one of our cemeteries.
Is the childhood home privately owned?
@@travelseatsyellowlab I'm really not sure. I think the city owns it, but I could be wrong.
Thank you Dick Van Dyke for your service at the Air Force thank you Dick Van Dyke
👍👍❤️❤️
Stop calling him, “Dyke.” His name is Van Dyke! And his son is Barry Van Dyke….not Barry Van! Get it together!
He probably doesn't know that his last name is Van Dyke, and not just Dyke.
@@travelseatsyellowlab lol.
I NEVER heard him called Van Dyke. Please call him Dick Van Dyke.
