    Nice review. I have both and have not played the Epi since the Revstar arrived. It is the most playable guitar I have. Your comments are right on target.

    Kyle, thanks for another great review! My first electric was a Yamaha Pacifica 112V and I always appreciated the quality and light weight of it. My most recent guitar is An "Epi" Les Paul 1959. Nothing else I have can touch it sound wise and I find the neck profile awesome. The only thing I'm not fond of with my "59" is the weight, weighing in at 9lb 2 oz.

    I like both guitars with the Revstar coming ahead of the Epi as it has more features and looks better! Thanks for sharing!

    Greetings Kyle, another great post (keep em coming). I liked your A/B comparison. I'm a fan of the Epi. Excellent playing too! Thanks

      Thanks Rico! That Epi is a sweet guitar, still making videos about it 2 years later haha.

    Hey Kyle! Nice comparison video. I‘m still enjoying my Revstar RSS02T with P90s. I loved my Affinity Jazzmaster so much, I bought a Squier Classic Vibe 60s Jazzmaster for $305 during the Labor Day sale. I think I‘m keeping both. Thanks for your video!

    Bought both. Love them. But the Revstar is out of this world. 25 + guitars including USA Fenders and the Revstar is number 1, 2 and 3

    The medallion on the Yamaha headstock? Three tuning forks. It's the Yamaha logo.

    Kyle, I just found your channel and subscribed today and I am diggin' it. You are a breath of fresh air. Also as a native WV hillbilly who lived half my life there and in VA and NC I enjoy hearing from another Southern country boy. Among other Epiphones I have a Les Paul Studio and I love them all. Also have a Yamaha acoustic and will be considering their electrics next time I'm shopping for 'one more guitar.'

    I have a 59 Epiphone Les Paul also and it is unbelievably awesome for the money. I never thought I'd be able to afford a Les Paul but this checks all the boxes. I am hoping to get a Revstar RSS02T (P-90's) after the end of the year, hopefully a slightly used one if I can find one then.

    Another great video and playing Kyle! Bro could you consider doing an 'out of the box' review of a shred guitar like a Jackson Rhoads V? Would love your take on a guitar like that.

    thanks for your review, I didn't see the mention of the satin finish on back of Revstar neck instead of the normal glossy finish that gets sticky feeling. That's a big plus in my book.

    Nice job on the comparison video, and I really like your guitars! I'm about to order up the Fast Green Revstar. I was going to before the video but looking at that Les Paul, and your comments about the neck almost changed my mind. However, I have to go with the comfort cuts and thinner body as it's no longer 1959. Lol

    Hi Kyle, you mean to say that your Epiphone had a hard case included, I just got a Epiphone Gold Top ( lefty of course) earlier this year around March and it didn't even have a soft case. Man you righties got it good even with accessories 😄. The Epiphone sounded louder and clearer while the Yamaha sounded softer and seemed to have a mellow kind of sound. Seems like the Yamaha has a little more bells and whistles but you can't go wrong with either one.

    • @onemoreguitarchannel
      @onemoreguitarchannel  Год назад +1

      Yeah it’s pretty bad now limited the choices are for lefties. I have seen some of the newer models coming out in LH recently but they are alway at the high end of the price scale. Like that Matt Heafy LP, it’s $1200 but at least they offered it in left. I agree about the pickups, I was surprised how mellow the Yamaha sounded against the Epi when I heard it back. I still liked it but there was a bigger difference than I was expecting.

    I really like that revstar…and I also thought the focus switch sounded the best…I’m still looking for the revstar with P90’s…rock on my brother !!!

      Thanks! I dig the way the Revstar sounds too. It has really impressed me since I’ve had it. I’d like to try the P90 version too. I’ve heard people say they didn’t like those pickups as much so I’m curious to try it.

    Kyle, have you ever thought of reviewing an Eastman SB 59? I've been reading a bunch of positive reviews of these. If have played one, I'd certainly be interested to hear your opinion on it. Thanks again for all of the excellent reviews!

    Revstars neck is soooo much more stable than any Les Paul I've ever played.

  • @rickclark4714

    The Revstar is my next guitar because of the price point and stainless frets.
    No more new guitars without stainless frets.
    Get with it Fender and Gibson!

  • @kostasbk741
    @kostasbk741 Год назад

    I preferred the sound of the Gibson, I wonder how the Yamaha would sound with the Gibson pickups. I don't play my LP much because it is heavy, weirdly balanced, bites into my ribs and forearm. I think Yamaha really made a perfected version of the LP with the Revstar.

    Nice review. Between the two I'd have to go with the RevStar for the frets and body contours though if I'm being completely honest I'd rather have a HH strat.

    Revstar Standard quality control is AWFUL. Mine arrived from Yamaha with G-string and top E-string sounding like a banjo thanks to a poorly-cut nut. Thank goodness I have a Fender Player plus Telecaster (best guitar you can get for the money IMO). Needless to say, the Revstar dud went back. I won't buy from Yamaha again.

    On the Rev Star, if you put in a tone zone or maybe a JB, you’d have an absolute monster
