This was truly a day I will never forget, and such fun too. So looking forward to shooting more! Thank you again David, you are a true gent and a personal inspiration. I don't think any video can truly capture how inspiring and genuine you are. Onwards and upwards. Best regards, TGV
Great video gentlemen. My brother owns his holy grail. The Seiko 'TV Watch' from Octopussy. 'Amazing image Q'. Although he never wears it. I use to have the same mentality with my Oris 65 Divers, (not a Bond brand) until someone just told me that watches are meant to be worn. I use to just have it for black tie, now I enjoy it almost at every date night, business meeting etc. It gets a lot of daylight and a lot of nice compliments. Thanks for this, nice to hear Timex getting a mention too. Pb
I love that your collection includes the books. People forget the books. There is an underlying canon and anchoring to the more fantastic elements in the movies
TGV is great and many in the watch community are jealous of his success. He can explain and get excited over a Timex as much as a Rolex. For many -- including me -- he introduced us to the love of watches. He is like a PhD-level math teacher who can explain math to a kindergarten level. After owning several pieces of high horology, I still watch TGV and cheer for his RUclips success.
Great we have TBE and TGV back together. I enjoyed watching TGVs video visiting you on The Urban Gentry and it‘s really cool you did this interview with TGV . Would love to see you both do some collaborations from time to time. David, you are a great host.
Not that it was a duel or anything... but it was a rare moment when TGV couldn't come up with the proper Bond reference..or when David couldn't supply a missing detail about a Bond watch. Bravo!
Slightly different for me. I have worn my NPeal Sweaters, my Sunspel tshirts, my Barbour Beacon jacket, and my Royale Filmwear jackets. All of them make me feel a million dollars
I have been following both of you for several years now and always thought you two should meet up! How did this finally come together??? Love both versions of the videos from you two! Cheers!
Lol, can we please do a video series about bond firearms and weapons training? Cause your thumbnail posing with your walther pointed at gentrys head hurt me so bad.
The Pussy Gallore GMT ref. Is the ref. 6542. It was the first Gmt-Master produced from 1954 till 1959. GRAIL WATCH for every Bond fan is the Rolex Submariner ref. 6538. Known also as the Biig Crown or the Bond Sub. This was worn by Sean Connery in the first 4 James Bond films. 5 TOP BOND MOVIES by this order. 1.Thunderball 2. FRWL 3. Goldfinger 4. OHMSS 5. Dr No. Best James Bond. SEAN CONNERY by far.. Best Regards
My neighbor threw quite a number of books away years ago. In his trash can several feet from mine was one if these hardback laminated Hollywood movie star books. The subject was James Dean and his influence on films. I took it out and "rescued it". Halfway through the book theres a picture of him and Ursla Andress in a New York restaurant. They were living together at the time. James Dean died in 1955. That fact of them together has always stayed with me, for some reason. Yup, Ursla made quite a stirring moment in Thunderball.
Absolutely correct choice, Rodrigo! Monica Bellucci is definitely the most gorgeous Bond woman, ever. She has that certain je ne sais quoi that vaults her over any other Bond woman in Bond history, in my opinion, frankly. And, excellent choice on the Omega too.
I loathe being a cynical b@$tard, but Seiko has gone down in my estimation due to their rather poor customer support system, which is well below the customer support of Citizen watches. Whenever I have an issue with one of my Citizens and ring the customer support team, I get instant responses and well-reasoned answers to my questions. I had been collecting some rather iconic Seiko watches and when I had an issue with one of them I would call and have the customer support rep essentially tell me to go "emote up a rope." I thought, ah, I just caught a customer service rep on a bad day, so I will call back another day and get a different rep. The result? Basically, the same result, perhaps with kinder language, but the same result. After that, I stopped buying any Seiko watch and then continued collecting Citizen watches instead. I do admit to having a somewhat demanding view of just how a customer support rep should respond to service questions because I ran a 7 x 24 x 365 Network Operations Center for a very large internet service provider in the Midwest for a number of years. In my experience, reps need to be technologically up to date and have a genuine communications skills also. Trying to get those qualities from a computer geek in the old days, say from 1990 to 2002 or 2003 could be exasperatingly difficult, though somehow, I managed to surround myself with an excellent staff that, for the most part, had the skills I delineated earlier, tech and communications combined. It was possible, because I did it, so it is replicable, particularly for a company as large and monied as Seiko. In the past, I had a few TAG Heuer watches that were stolen and unfortunately I discovered that my renter's insurance would not cover the theft of my watch collection. So, I stopped even considering buying any higher quality watches than my Seiko and Citizen watches. Then, this year, my wife suggested that I pick out an Omega watch for my birthday, which was a horrible prospect, OK, I am being facetious. She is my heart. First a Mercedes Benz AMG that I have lusted after for years, for Christmas 2018, and now an Omega for my birthday. I sincerely doubt that I deserve such a woman, but I am not complaining in the least. The bad news is that I am now spectacularly spoiled with Omega. Though I like many Rolex watches, I think my next higher end watch will be a Breitling. I have admired them from afar long enough. I have enjoyed The Urban Gentry for some time now, so it was great to see him on your channel, David. I find it terribly interesting that some of the channels that I subscribe to on RUclips are interconnected, after a fashion. It does remind me of the Jungian concept of synchronicity however and that adds an element to these videos too. Keep up the good work, David, I’m sure you know just how many fans you have out here in Bond~land, including moi, aussi. Turrah, The Bond Experience…
Yes but it won't be the same one that Bond wore in Casino Royale during the Madagascar chase scene and while in the Bahamas, which is what he is wearing in all its 45.5mm glory on rubber strap. And Casino Royale being David's favourite Bond movie, so yeah.
This was truly a day I will never forget, and such fun too. So looking forward to shooting more!
Thank you again David, you are a true gent and a personal inspiration.
I don't think any video can truly capture how inspiring and genuine you are.
Onwards and upwards.
Best regards,

Great to see you two guys together! Two of my favorite RUclipsrs!
Fantastic interview. Thanx for the video.
My holy grail watch would be the Lazenby Rolex pre-Daytona - I just think that’s a stunner. Also love that GMT 2 😄
Miss good night is my Bond girl , o yeah!
At 9:52 I am yelling at the computer "it was Domino's brother Francois Derval's watch", lol. An awesome youtube combo, awesome video!!
You should do the Scots Kilt worn by George Lazenby.
Slightly different for me. I have worn my NPeal Sweaters, my Sunspel tshirts, my Barbour Beacon jacket, and my Royale Filmwear jackets. All of them make me feel a million dollars
Precisely, James L! Why even purchase any of these items if all you'll do with them is put them in storage, am I wrong?
you need Archie luxury on this
PHIST

Do you think that James Bond would drive a Mini Cooper ?
@Andrewshadowy pitty... I just bought one :-( Still what medium-budget car would he daily drive ?
Tally Ho. You do a great job !~
Check out this alternate Spectre theme! It is so much better than Sam Smith's fiasco! ruclips.net/video/bKYOGDsPyWk/видео.html
I would go with Lucia Sciarra and a Casino Royale Omega P.O.. Cheers!
Trigger discipline guys. 🤦🏻♂️
Ursula Andress in Dr No, hottest Bond girl ever!
You only live twice T.G.V.....

Turrah, The Bond Experience…
Considering how rich you are you can buy yourself a new planet ocean ceramic, I recommend it way nicer than the one you have

Unwatchable philth. Pure swill. Instant thumb down. Insertius Analus Maximus.
