That's really excellent news - I have a 2021 Stance with only a 500Wh battery - I'm quite a heavy 70-year old doing lots of riding and my almost 2-year old battery is down to 90%-93% battery health, so my range is seriously diminished. Just hope this battery is going to be available in South Africa. Great review - thanks.🙏

My 22 reign has 625w battery and I've had 40km+ 1800m elevation & 75-85% battery used riding mostly tour/trail. I've been blown away by the range and I weigh 95kg, everybody is different but for me after 35kms I'm pretty much over it energy wise so the 625w is the sweet spot, but if I had to buy a new battery I'd go for the 800w seems a no brainer.

on mine, 85 kgs and on second assistance (tour) I make 32kms and 1280 d+. I'm a little bit disappointed because reading around, peoples make more than me. I'm not a beginner and I push on the bike a little bit. Maybe some battery problem?

I have a giant trance 2021, upgraded to 625 battery. I weigh just over 100 kg and not particularly fit . Battery just lasted; thank God for a ten mile flat ride , then about another 9 up the Col de Tourmalet in the Pyrenees to a height of just over 5000 feet . Near the top, down to last bar of power, was a very worried man. Fortunately just made it , rolled down the other side and recharged in a cafe at the bottom

Just pulled the trigger and put one of these big boys into my 2019 e+0 Trance which came with a 500w/h battery. To make the 800w/h fit there was a bit of shaving of plastic for the 2019 battery cover to clip in. But after that its a plug and play affair. I cant feel the weight difference riding the bike so no problems there.
Yes its a bit of an outlay, but really beats buying a new bike for 8-9 times the price.

Just had the 800 battery installed on my wife’s trance x e+1. Replaces a faulty 750 battery under warranty, so good score on that one. But I don’t think the difference between the 750 and 800 will be at all noticeable except maybe removing a wee bit of range anxiety. 750 is easily big enough I reckon.

I think it is a good strategy to produce and to buy average batteries, say 400-600 Wh. In 90% one will be happy with an average battery. But it is a good idea to have 2 batteries and from time to time to take the second one with you.

I would love the 800W on my 2022 Reign E+3 yours was one of the reviews that convinced my to buy this bike :) (I have put 150mm cranks on which sorted the clearance issues) On a good day I have done 6000feet of climb while at Bike Park Wales with a 30 minute charge at lunchtime on my 625 I love epic rides and having the 800 would give me just that little more.
Does anyone else find that when the bike hits 10% charge (Garmin used as display) the power dropped more quickly I find that from 10 to 5% comes real quick and that from 5 you are basically in limp home. Not sure if it's me as i have a=only done it twice ridden to flat but both times did not seen right.

    • @BeniKenesei

Sam , in my case i think the range issue between my two bikes has more to do with the amount of current being drawn by the sachs motor ? also the battery is 48 volt and has an all aluminum case that really adds a lot weight. but i dont
understand anything about electricity , amps/volts / watts etc so ?

Yeah then obviously it only makes sense to get the 800wh. The weight is so close as well. The problem with smaller batteries is you can't have more when you need it. And the weight difference doesn't matter it's still going to be a heavy ass e-bike that doesn't handle well. Wouldn't consider less than 750Wh battery.
