Because in this rare case I do not disagree with you, it kinda hurt my luscious-locks-loving heart to take my TRIM REAPER as I lovingly call my weapon of choice made by @kyoneclippers to Samuel’s head but there’s a story here… (Isn’t there always..?)
I met Samuel @theoldschoolbarberacademy where he’s one of our regular models and we started talking about his job as a surgeon which was really inspiring because, as you may know, deep down we are colleagues as barbers used to be barber-surgeons doing all the bloody chores like for example amputation and bloodletting before the “Surgical Revolution”
I really wanted to continue our conversation, the stories this fine, brilliant gentleman had blew my always curious mind so I told Samuel to give me call when he was in need for a haircut…
This was 9 MONTHS AGO 😱😂
I’m the first to admit that I’m not the easiest to communicate with, I’m as chaotic as they come (apparently a side effect from being creative) and I have the attention span of a goldfish on math which makes me forget pretty much everything on my not-existing to-do-list.
This, combined with an extremely busy (traveling) schedule of both Samuel as myself resulted in this enormous afro…
But last Tuesday we finally got a date…
Man, I LOVE this kind of hair, that texture and I know sooooo many of you are going to go wild in the comments with the “He should have kept it long” feedback (Apparently even Samuel’s mom did not agree)
However, Samuel was determined as, even though he liked it himself too, it was an absolute drag because of his work wearing his “Scrubs”
So, with a little pain in my barber-surgeon heart, we went for this nice, clean, textured short cut on Samuel, which, let’s be honest, makes him an extremely Dr. Dreamy… 😉

It's so nice seeing the clean cut look returning. I was a teen in the days of hippies, granny dresses, hot pants and young men with long hair and scraggly beards. This is such a nice change.
