I was in West Orange World at the time and the glue from my eyelashes was melting and coating my contacts so I couldn’t see this show even though I was there 😭
I still get teary eyed watching this. It was such a gorgeous piece of art and hearing the crowd scream like that was unreal. It truly went through your bones it was so loud. I still have never heard screams like that for any guard.
Wow this show is breathtaking, I’ve never seen a show be performed so elegantly, so flowy, and so pleasing to watch. I hope I see them in person this year bc this is so so gorgeous! 😍
It feels surreal to watch this again. I've been looking for this video for years! I can never forget how beautiful this show was, the tears of joy I shed, or the crowd going absolutely apeshit after every. baton. catch. We thought the batons would catch on the ceiling or scoreboard but they were FLAWLESS throws and catches 😭 A+ performance
Am I the only one who felt like it was almost disrespectful to clap and cheer during THIS show specifically? I know it’s common practice that you can clap, applaud, and cheer during the performance in WGI, DCI, etc., but this show is almost like going to the ballet or seeing a symphony orchestra. It’s so beautiful and all the clapping and cheering during the actual performance seems to take away from it. Just my opinion though.
i understand your point but its honestly so mind blowing witnessing an outstanding performance like this one its hard not to cheer and clap. Also applause helps MANY performers (in guard specifically) with their performance quality. Lots of people feed off of the crowd reaction you know?
OH MY FUCKING GOD THIS MADE ME CRY. If I couLD PERFORM THIS I WOULD LITERALLY BE SET FOR LIFE. I couLD DIE RIGHT AFTER THIS AND BE PERFECTLY HAPPY WITH WHAT I ACCOMPLISHED LITERAL G O A L S. 👏👏👏👏👏
This was really cool omg. REALITY JUST HIT ME My high school gonna be preforming at world championships in Ohio this spring ahhhh. I'm nervous already but I'm also reallyyyyy excited and I've never been before so yeah
If y’all didn’t get to see this in person I really feel for you. I have never ugly cried from watching a color guard in my 15 years of doing this and baby when I tell you the whole audience was boohooing. Miss aimachi endlessly!
No, Aimachi is still a group. wgi changed their manual and supposedly they don’t recognize batons as equipment? So they don’t participate in wgi worlds anymore
@@gachapotato8075 i think batons would be considered props now or “untraditional equipment”, i’m assuming the same way they would adjudicate an air sabre maybe?
Not sure If you know now but the show is about the legend that is you fold a thousand cranes and tie them with string a wish will be granted. This is presented to sick people and the most famous case is Sadako who was twelve when she died only making 644 cranes. She was real and had leukemia from the bombing in Hirishima
My #1 regret in life was going to get a burger during this show
I was in West Orange World at the time and the glue from my eyelashes was melting and coating my contacts so I couldn’t see this show even though I was there 😭
I feel like crying for you 😢💔
This feels like the colorguard equivalent of what happens when you miss school for a day fjwkxkx
noooo omg rip
I can’t even imagine😭🤚🏼 do you know who won first in world that year?
Everytime I watch Aimachi, they make me fall in love with guard all over again

HANA 2012 ^^
+Luckdjina Simeon they really are
yeah their batons can even reach outer space.
I can still remember how deafening the screams were during this show. It was definitely a sight to see.
Among those male twirlers, Shoji Inagaki, Shuichi Kawazu and Keisuke Komada are Men's Baton Twirling World Champions.
I was just about to ask. Those are world class twirlers.
I still get teary eyed watching this. It was such a gorgeous piece of art and hearing the crowd scream like that was unreal. It truly went through your bones it was so loud. I still have never heard screams like that for any guard.
This def moved me to a couple tears.
Are they even human? Those tosses were insane.
how many times were they practicing and had to retrieve a saber from the roof
y'all the craziest part is is that they got 4th with a score of 96.050
They deserved higher. This show is absolutely beautiful.
I've seen the show that won this year. I'm an ignorant audience member, but this show was far and away better.
Videos never compare to seeing performances in real life. Absolutely gorgeous.
last guy @ 4:33 was SO close to catching it wasnt that far from his hands and his recovery was on point
Tbh if there wasn’t a noise it probably wouldn’t have been noticed

These guys are in a league of their own. Holy shit my jaw was on the floor the whole time
Every time I watch this show, even after all these years, I cry......Thanks, Aimachi
they used this song in the Good Place finale and it gave me so many feels from seeing this show I had to cry twice
man I remember watching live and crying. Such a beautiful show

Saw this show in person, impeccably done as always Aimachi never disappoints
Watching this was like an out of body experience. The perfect use of Arvo Parrot movement and color. Stunning!
this gave me CHILLS.
Omg, the best I’ve ever seen... Every detail was exquisite, every toss was splendid// Loved it...
It's very beautiful! i'm proud to be born in Japan.
I wish I was Japanese 😭
@@harrybeauberry3222 Let's go together!
one of them dropped and recovered real quick
i remember watching this live and being so amazed, japan really does it best
Their performance here will be my forever favorite! I just describe is as perfect, nothing more.
That has to be the best, most beautiful floor routine I have ever seen
Wow... What an astonishing show. Pardon my spelling, if I spelled it wrong.
Will go down as the most phenomenal and mind blowing performances of all time.
every time i watch this show, i tear up at the fact that we can’t experience this ensemble anymore: truly heaven-sent

DIES
They were, at the end they have a close up on the performers and they had gloves on
the sabre’s are
Stunningly beautiful.
I wasn't in colorguard but marching band and i absolutely love this
no joke I cried at the end
Gave me chills 😍

So much talent!!
Omg our marching band show last year was loosely based off this! There were clips on this in the show trailer.
this is so clever and beautiful, i rlly have to dedicate harder to guard lmao 😭
im so upset that wgi doesn’t count the baton work because holy crap??!! those tosses, and the body underneath?? like HELLO?
*cries* at the whole peformance
The cheers were comical, but well-deserved!
I need their silks 😍😍😍😍
THIS SHOW IS INSANE.
spellbinding. I had no idea there was anything like this in the world. I want them to come to the Bridgestone in Nashville!
WHAT DID THEY PLACE
Roger Baldwin 4th
How
Leigha Estar how did they not get first? their tosses were absolutely stunning
It’s because batons are not considered weapons in WGI. We all knew they should have gotten first
Niara Noctyrna but they did win the fan favorite award that year which is still really good
“Under the direction of Kia kazoo...suh kina”
🤣🤣
00:38 really said, “had me dead, dead as a cockroach”
When your marching band did a show called “A Thousand Cranes” two years ago
Anyone able to tell me the song they used for their performance?
arvo pärt spiegel im spiegel
wow! It's amazing!
I would give up so much to go back and be in guard again!
Perfection!
I NEED THIS SONG
arvo pärt spiegel im spiegel
How did this not win? I’d like to see who placed ahead of them.
What happened to Amachi? They haven’t been to worlds since 2017 :/
something about disbandment
No, Aimachi is still a group. wgi changed their manual and supposedly they don’t recognize batons as equipment? So they don’t participate in wgi worlds anymore
@@jayhitta9834 i thought that changed :/
@@gachapotato8075 last time i checked the rule book back in July they didnt even mention batons at all :(

THE CHEERS
in the beginning when they tosses like a 10 you can hear gasps from the audience
basically anytime they tosses with a baton the audience gasped i am in love
loved it
fantastic :D
