Everytime I need to remember why I joined guard, I watch this performance. Everything about it is so beautiful and inspiring. Outstanding show, moving audio, breathtaking performance.
Me_doin_the_youtube_theng not at all. It's telling a very real story, and I know a lot of people will cry to this. If I'd have watched this 2 weeks ago I'd have balled
I saw this performance for the first time over 7 years ago. To this day I’ve never forgotten it. It’ll stick with me forever. I miss guard everyday and this show is unlike any I’ve ever seen before. Love it ❤️
My deepest gratitudes to this colorguard for such a spectacular use of emotion and conveying such an important message. You did a marvelous job that I saw part of my childhood in your show. I am now a big fan of your guard. Greetings from Las Vegas. Keep up the fabulous work. I'm sharing this on all my social media because of the artistic use of grace, coordination and beauty and human tragedy.
This show leaves me speechless and crying. Personally I have a large birthmark covering a good portion of my cheek, it's so wonderful to know that I'm not alone. I understand the idea of feeling ugly, and being told to brush it off. I feel the pains of being called a freak for a feature I cannot control. While I don't have children, my brothers at the age of four call me beautiful, not regarding my purple birthmark, but my entire self. Color guard is such a wonderful place. My coaches and teams have never once asked me to cover it, in fact my team enjoys trying to glitter it. This show, color guard, all of it makes me feel more comfortable in my own skin. And I'm so happy that I stumbled across this show.
This shit made me tear up. The audio, the emotions on their face, and the preformace is breath taking. Props to this guard AND whoever had the idea to have them dance to this audio.
Moved by, empathize for, identify with...silent in unity with all the others....reaching back through time it touched my heart and soul. Thank you for providing the opportunity to say it gets better. What an outstanding creation and fantastic execution of thought.
Do you know if this audio, or at least part of it, is in another winter gaurd show? Im looking for one that is about bullying or something along those lines. It had a nuetral color floor and the girls spelt the name of the show with their bodies on it.
I know everyone is saying it's a beautiful show. And that's because they picked a beautiful poem. It's by shayne koyzan but i can't remember the name he write beautiful poems. They are filled with emotion and always make me feel something. He wrote another poem called beethoven. I love that one too
GrarGirl yes, it's a beautiful poem. It is called "To this day." However, their interpretation and performance is also beautiful. Art builds upon art, just as any other guard uses music. It inspired me to use poetry in my own writing. Check out POW Percussion 2016 for another great example of using poetry on WGI.
Okay, that was absolutely beautiful, but what was the point of the two kids sitting in the middle of the floor.... maybe I was distracted but I'm pretty sure they just sat there the entire show.... that's the only thing that confused me
Is it just me because I feel bad for the two people who just sat on the floor the whole entire time not spinning. Unless there not officially a part of the team and they are just helping

It definitely makes the sore muscles and bruises from our equipment, and long days under the hot sun or in the dead of winter worth it.
This is one of my favorite guard shows.I am so happy to be in Warren Central world guard now.

Me_doin_the_youtube_theng not at all. It's telling a very real story, and I know a lot of people will cry to this. If I'd have watched this 2 weeks ago I'd have balled

Sp M They represent the children that the narrator is talking about.
Where could I find the audio from this show
Aleyanna Cobian to this day by Shane Koyczan (his last name is something along those lines)
They had to carry all of that to the gyms for warmups before the show... and fit it in a bus
My sister's gf send me this video and now I'm crying
The problems is this happens every day
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I'm wondering how many people cried in the audience
Is it just me because I feel bad for the two people who just sat on the floor the whole entire time not spinning. Unless there not officially a part of the team and they are just helping
This
name of poem?
Too this day by Shane Koyzan.
What’s the song
To This Day by Shane Koyczan

Pretty good high school guard. But all that talking takes away from the show. It’s distracting.

My coach is the blond at the very beginning she showed us this at first practice
