With this video I could find how to save the fs-changes I did on this machine. Your explaining is really fantastic Kim. It is a great machine but over here in the Netherlands we couldn’t buy the workbook. Thank you so much Kim and have a nice day
This is a great reminder for Ruler quilting. Single stitch plate, blue bobbin holder, feed dogs down, adjust height, slider mat ( nearly forgot!) thanks
I have recently purchased Mc9450 & love it, thank you for your great videos, also, appreciate having subtitles as am severely hearing impaired . I’m in New Zealand Been trying to access the Janome workbook for this machine but only seems to be available in US & Canada which is disappointing, as from your video looks to be a worthwhile purchase
Yes. There are different blue dot bobbin cases available that depend on the machine model that you are using. The set up on the machine is the same for free motion and ruler work (which is really a type of free motion quilting).
Can you tell me why there are very few videos addressing the Skyline S 5, 6, 7 machines? I need help with my chine, which I’ve had since it’s inception three years ago. I’ve taken a few classes offered by the store which sold the machine, however, videos are free and classes are not! Your videos are very helpful and I’d love you todo some videos on the skylines.
Hi Judy: I'm only able to do videos on the Janome machines that I have: the 9450 (or 9400), M7, 500E. As I don't have any of the Skyline models myself, I'm not able to do videos on them. Hopefully you can find more videos by checking various Janome websites - there are some in the US and Australia as well.
For free motion or ruler quilting, I use the single stitch plate. The HP plate is only used for the HP or HP2 feet - not used for either of these type of quilting techniques.
I currently don't have one on RUclips. I did do some live videos in my private membership The Quilter's Way which was part of my free motion quilting course that is included in the membership which is an extensive course on needles, threads, tools, best designs to start with, etc. If you are interested in taking a look, go to thequiltersway.mn.co.

You are a terrific teacher! So helpful. I have just received my ruler set for my 9450. Can’t wait to get started!
I love your videos! I've learned so much about my machine through your videos 😂
Very clear video with specific information. Thank you!
You are welcome!
Do you use the blue bobbin case for ruler work and free motion

Will it work on janome 6700P?
Can you use longarm rulers on the 9450
Yes, you can.
Thank You for getting back to me. I tried it yesterday . I love the machine
What plate do you use hp.

Is that the same for 8900 mcp
No, it's a different set up. You can get all the details at ruclips.net/video/9U0cPSnfsQQ/видео.html
Do you have a tutorial on actually quilting with a ruler
I currently don't have one on RUclips.
