The writers missed a golden opportunity to bring Aviva back in the Paige seasons. She could have went to Prue's funeral, rekindled her friendship with Phoebe, met Paige and even be given a chance to earn her powers back since she was a good witch who was tricked into being possessed by Kali. I'm sure Piper would have forgiven her after some time had passed and would have been cordial to her at the very least. I could see Aviva becoming close with Paige too because Paige and Phoebe were very similar as kids, with constantly getting into trouble and whatnot. The three of them would constantly be hanging out together; Paige would probably have gotten Aviva a job at the social services building before she quit to become a full-time whitelighter...
what?!! you can freeze only the demon and pop the demon out?!! how many times the innocents were possessed and control by demons and that didn't work . where is the vomit emoji

Nope, they used a spell in the very first episode, in the one where the demon steal women's youth (second episode ?), in the episode with their father and the ring (episode 3) and certainly in some other ones too. Don't forget that they also fought humans like the gang in Chinatown or the wheelchair guy in the dreams, etc.
I never understood how those demons had to still be vanquished when they have clearly been vanquished before. Because how would they have been able to write in the book that the mirror had to be smashed? So it has been smashed before? So how did kali come back again?

Actually, Piper can freeze everyone except her sisters but at the beginning of the series they believe that she can't freeze witches (or it was decides like this and changed later). About Aviva, it's just a plothole.

The whole issue with that is Aviva was never actually a witch. Kali gave her powers, they weren’t hers to begin with.

Idk maybe she is a witch and doesn't know fully and the demon is manipulating her.
