Norden, the reason you can't shoot down Ka-50's or destroy 2S38's is because War Thunder is doing the honorable thing of catering the game to disabled children. They want to have fun in the game as well, and thus, the KA and 2S were made with them in mind. To help them. At least, that's how I feel when they kill me. I feel relieved to be helping a young one in his time of mental or physical disability.

You forget he was hit with a SAM first and destroyed. It was still flying after all that. You should not be able to fire after your aircraft is destroyed.

Shooting a chopper with a sabot is likely to result in an over penetration due to the rather thin armor. Should’ve switched to the HEAT round or HESH round he had.
@@leximous0528 I agree, he should have used HESH to finish it, but no helicopter in game should be able to keep flying after eating a VT1 and losing its tail.

Fun fact: Although designed as carrier based Torpedo bombers, the DTB2D Devastator 2 "Skypirate" could have been the largest "single prop" carrier based plane in the world ever about the size of a B-25 medium bomber, but could fly much faster and at higher altitudes and carried a bomb load of 8400 lbs of bombs equivalent to the B-17 Flying fortress. Over specilizaton and the end of ww2 shelved the program and the two prototypes which were built were Scrapped.

Meawhile I ejoyed playing 3.7 so much that I ended up in BR 7.0.
What I find infuriating is always related to game phisics. Like that random trash bin by the road that can stop a light tank retreating in reverse.

Why does every RUclipsr get gun control wrong? Yes, Australia implemented very strict gun control in the mid-90s. Since then, they haven't had a single mass shooting. Just look at statistics. Countries with strict gun control have very low gun deaths/injuries. Without fail. Even when the overall gun ownership is sometimes high.
I'd like to hear some random plane facts!! I'll start: Did you know that the Hawker-Siddeley Trident, officially a tri-jet aeroplane, in actuality featured 4 engines in a later model? Three engines of the type it used just weren't enough to lift the larger fuselage into the sky, so it got a booster engine snuck into the tail assembly to help out at take-off!

To be fair, with the weight of the TOG it would actually compact the snow down to grass level so its traction would be about the same as dry ground assuming the ground is frozen underneath. And with the weight of the combined egos of Snazzy, Pud, Moti, Nordern, and Sean, the traction should be excellent.

The clip with Ka-50 just shows a feature on WT that I hate the most. It seems now to be more able with the Ka-50, but that thing can also happen in air only. E.g. if you attacking a bomber and "kill" it. While it still falling down from the skies, then the bomber's gunners can still shoot at you. Often getting revange kills or heavily damage your fighter. Even damage it so much that you wouldnt be able to control it and have to bail from it
Maybe, but the KA50 wasn't going down. It didn't even act like it was missing its tail and tail rotor. It seemed to be operating like it wasn't even hit. That's the big issue. A bomber going down mean it'll eventually blow up. It's done for. Zombie Chopper? Geez.

The ka50 has control surfaces on the tail that allow it to rotate, without the tail, it shouldn’t be able to turn.
@@bypasslunaticsblade9226 You clearly have no idea how coaxial-rotor helicopters work, because that's not how it works. Those tail surfaces only function at high speeds, similar to the control surfaces on planes. The Ka-50 can turn without it's tail, using just the rotors. Increasing the collective on one set of rotors and decreasing it on the other set results in a yawing force. This is similar to how increasing the collective on a regular helicopter without increasing the tail rotor's force would result in it turning.

Not top tier exclusive though. I was once "killed" in my F4U, flew it back to the airfield, landed and went back to battle after a 3 minutes repair. All the time had the death message on my screen...
That was us shooting it as much as we could, until it couldn't shoot back

Or, as thanos would say: "you should've gone for the head". Go for the pilot, not for the aircraft. If the pilot is dead, it doesn't matter what aircraft he files.
its very simple, gaijin should first of all make first spawn helis impossible, second of all if you're dead you should just be kicked out after 5 seconds, you cant use secondary armament when dead but no obviously gaijin doesnt wanna remove utter russian bias@@Nordern also it doesnt help if you fire 30 rounds into the pilots face and he doesnt care

Source for that claim? From what i found, it says that its top speed is 13 km/h (8mph).
I hate that decals are now hidden by default. I use white decals as an improvised snow Camo if I haven’t unlocked it yet. I’m now gambling if they can see me or now
for the people claiming russian bias does and doesnt exist - keep in mind, AA missiles from all countries, and tank shells, do not harm helos the same as they do planes, from all nations. Helos are just broken hitboxes in general. An aircrafts air-to-air missile will onetap helos, yet a HE shell from a 155 will do absolutely nothing.

That actually happened out in Ukraine, Someone Shot off a Black Shark's Tail on June 19th, 2023. The only reason why it survived was because of the Main Rotor Design.

War thunder how it should be: balanced tech trees, large maps medium grinding, low to up tier is fun.
War thunder: low tier being the only fun tier but cas is still gonna milk your 20mm dry and short maps shorter than the average life span of a AAA game and some vehicle's being op as fuck and premium is the only way to get to top tier faster and grind faster (slightly faster)

As a Russian main all I gotta say is Russian bias is a lie I get one tapped almost every game while leopard eat side shots as if I’m shooting it in the front
They only see the Russian bias because it's a Russian company and people have convinced themselves that the Russians haven't built anything even remotely capable...
They don't blink when a Sherman eats a 152mm shell, or a BF-109 walks off dozens of 37-45mm rounds. But a Russian helicopter that doesn't need it's tail flying without a tail? *That* gets them angry.

Random train fact: u.p 4014 is a 4 8 8 4 wheel set up with 4 guide wheels in the front 8 drive wheels meaning 16 total and 4 rear guide wheels for the engine
Reason the KA50 was fine after that first shot was because warthunder gives you kill credit for shooting off the tails of helicopters... The KA-50 does not need it's tail to function.
Not sure about the follow up shots, maybe just bad luck and didn't hit anything important?
It kinda does need it's tail to function, not for the counter-rotation like normal helicopters, but since the majority of it's electronics and flight systems are located in the tail
Think i just got scuffed by volumetric but also the KA series of helicopters seems to be a bit...badly modelled since this keeps happening regularly
@@Nordern fair enough, from what I gather pretty much all the helicopters have bad models though, aircraft in general just don't have electronic equipment to shoot at in game. Would be kind of weird for the KA-50 to have its electronic equipment be a targetable object when no other helicopter does. But on the other hand I don't think there's a helicopter out there that will take a tank round directly and survive.
Also really surprised I got a reply from you considering how old the video is, love the videos and recently joined the discord, hopefully I can figure out how to join the ARMA ops sometime... And get a working headset so I can actually join.
Edit: did double check, and it can fly without its tail, but I doubt it would still be doing combat duties, considering that in the testing it lost its tail and immediately returned to base.
