Its work, the key for me are
1. You must prepare your horse near tree that white horse will move too
2. Borrow cameraman horse and do the quest
3. You have to leave the quest before the icon horses is dissepear (if the horses is stop you can push little more but immediately go to cameramen)
4. Skip quest
5. Run to your horse and Chase the horses
6. If your horse stamina run off, just repeat it
It works!!! It took like 6 try’s and it was a total nightmare but it works guys! Thank you!
Absolutely still works. Took me 2 times - the second attempt I crashed 3 times, had a run in with a bear, and the random NPC surrounded by wolves. I was sure it was a failed attempt - especially since I clicked ‘jump to house’ probably 15-20 times each time being juked out by a wild horse. I finally got it though. Damn my wrist hurts lol. 😂
This method was the only one that worked for me, and as of 3/10/2024, it's still effective. Its hella frustrating when the horse keeps running away, but once it gets stuck or stands still (in my case, it was caught in thick foliage), simply press (not hold) the spacebar, and it should work. On my second attempt, it took me about 20 minutes of chasing, and I had to use two horse stimulants to keep up with the MFT. Thanks for this guide-I really appreciate it!
I did it on my first try... That was incredible. The chase was quick, and i managed to jump on her in about 1 minute. Still, my own horse decided to smash face first into a tree during the chase, but i still managed to get her. It worked beautifully! I think my advice would be to have your horse facing the direction the herd will take, as in facing *away* from Mason. Also, once you get the herd in frame, SPRINT towards Mason as quick as possible. When i say sprint i mean gallop, by the way, and after the little cutscene of the picture is taken, just hop off his horse and run up to him. Worked first try for me!
Yeah, just did it and it works. Takes a bit to get it right but it does. I super suggest a level 4 horse for better maneuvering.
Took 20 actual real world minutes after chasing this lil shit all over Heartlands and top parts of Lemoyne but I got her!
This was far more tense than day 1 Radahn in the DLC.
But yeah, thanks for the video. The old method I used to use wasn't working like before so decided to try this method.
Got him rite before starting chapter 3 and been trying for a week many ways.. this work in my 3rd attempt
i did it but even if i keep sprinting in the direction of horses they are no where to be seen

I have tried at least 20 times so far and saw the horse only once. Chased it for a good 20 minutes. After crashing into some trees… when I got back on my horse it was gone.

Edit: over 30 attempts and have had just one when I got to chase the MFT.
2nd edit. On about my 35th or 40th try I got to chase Biscuits again. I kept trying to herd her south and south west. Looking for a chance to jump on in the woods.
From the Heartlands to LeMoyne and Valentine. She eventually got away but during the chase I lost her twice and then found her again .
I think she’s starting to like me.
I finally got her. I must have tried 50 times. Patience paid off.

you must do the head start just like he did in the video, if you are late (you dont end the cut scene early) they will despawn,

It still works but... you need horse stamina tonic and lot of sedative for yourself. I tried 20+ times and it happened 2 time. First time I botched it out because don't have any stamina tonic. Jump to horse really hard. It took me 20 minutes for the second time. The main thing. 1) Don't leave your horse close to Albert, because it will run away (leave you horse in a dry place with its head towards the trees). 2) Before the 2 cut scene, you need as close as you can with Albert. 3) If you don't see the horse after 2 cut scene start over. 4) You can skip both quest.
It worked !!! Got it in my 5th try, thank you.
It works! It took me an insane amount of tries bc she is very fast and elusive. A few tips:
-You MUST watch the first cut scene
-after the cut scene, get on your horse and walk it behind Albert as close as you can and tell it to stay there before you borrow his horse. This way you can jump right on after skipping the cut scene.
-try to get a head start after herding by running as soon as the horses get over the hillside before the photo and run straight to Albert. You want the horses to still be in frame by the time you skip the cut scene or else they might despawn.
-try to mount the horse while you’re in the woods so it can’t run away. Once it’s in a field you could wind up chasing it forever bc I never got it to calm down no matter what I tried.

Ace 👌🏼 took a few tries cuz yes, you have such a small window when the horse hits that first tree line that if you don’t get there in time or just let the horse leave that little tree area she’s friggin gone in the open fields!!! Thank God, she made a mistaken turned right back up the tree line up the Rocky mountain and kinda slowed her down with all them rocks I was able to jump on her. Also the “jump on horse” is like a quick half sec to one second window and it doesn’t pop up all the time I noticed. Not sure if you just have to be in the proper position next to the horse or what but it took a couple trial and errors to get it done. Anyway This method still works fellas 👏🏼🙌🏼 do exactly as posted in this video. Golden, you’re Gold!

I tried getting this horse using the kill the lady with the dead horse method. It never worked for me because she wouldn't spawn alive after killing her. I decided to try this method and I was able to get it. The hard part for me was getting close enough to jump on it. I don't know why the game won't let you lasso it. It took a long time chasing it but eventually I was able to get close and jump to it. I have this beautiful horse in my collection, I'm so happy.😀

Worked for me I searched best horse to have tried 2 different videos but yours worked for me
Some other notes:
You can skip the cutscene at the start.
You have to complete the Hosea hunting mission, otherwise stables will be locked and you will be left stranded with a wild horse.
You can simply stable the horse and then exit the stable. Re-enter the stable , swap your horse with the MFT.
Going for the warped brindle and a Turk next.. should have been able to stable 5 horses.. I will make one my temporary horse

Literally just did this. But it took me about 10 attempts. I don’t think it matters if you skip first cut scene or not. The only difference between my last attempt and all the other times was that i saw the horse pause for a couple seconds during the cut scene. I then rushed towards it with my horse and u can see it after passing the first hill (the other times they all just disappear.) But it took me about 10-15 min chasing it down on my white arabian horse and failed 4 times taming. So yea, this method still works.
Took me 2 hours of chasing to get the horse, at least 100 times pressing “jump on horse”, and got juked at least 40 times. finally got it. Absolutely frustrating! 😅😂
this is how I do it. Your success depends entirely on how close you can get to Mason before Arthur yells at the horses to run. you also need to get a little lucky jumping onto the horse without running around the map for 20 minutes.
I do this every time but the pinto won’t stop running and anytime I get close to it to jump on it it IMMEDIATELY stops all movement and changes directions instantly and takes off. I have the white Arabian and still cannot catch up to it. Idk how you got him to basically stand still for you
you gotta chase him to the trees or some area so he won’t escape, basically don’t let him go into open field or the chase will be looong

Update: it took me 2 tries but I got it! At the first try i was too late and missed her, but the second try I saw her!! It’s really hard to jump on her because she keeps running away and I fell of my horse two times, it took me around 10 minutes to get on her and then I had her!! She’s so pretty! ❤

How do you try the second?
I got. Just make sure if you're playing on a PC to use a game pad and NOT keyboard. Put a wagon AND your horse behind the wagon on horses path to stall them and all good.

My horse is spawning at my back and whenever I run towards my horse to mount he keeps running and I miss the timing. Idk how to put the horse in front like you do
after the first cutscene, where you have to get on the horse, get yours and place it as close to the guy as possible and tell the horse to stay, and then get his horse

When i jumped on the horse from 20 minutes my hands shook.
This method worked great, and im happy now but... The animal wont let me get back on it once ive saddled and claimed it... What do i do?
2nd edit: also, if u accidentally or forget that u cant/have gotten off of her after taming her, just get back on ur already own saddled horse and make her follow u by whistling then once shes either beside u, hop back on and take her to the stables and do what the video says ^^. You'll get her fully without any issues.

You can’t mount it anymore if you happen to get down
I just had the same issue. Save the game then quit the game entirely. Then load back up and you should be able to mount her.

Horses stop before picture or race out of site after picture and despawn.
I even move my horse closer and hitch to ground before I get on camera dudes horse. Full stim both horses. White Arabian.
12x I only rarely see one of other horses.

If you done 1 and 2 quests, don't wait 3-rd in the Wallace station area. Go far away for a couple of in-game days. I had it like that.
