Creativity with cutscene is great, but that attempt at "difficulty" is just silly.
Yeah ! The changes to the Diaz mission would be funny if the difficulty wasnt stupidly high.

That is a REALLY cool way to do that Diaz fight, way more cinematic and actually fits really well.
Just yknow, would be good if the mod was not bullshit and this level of quality and attention was put into other missions as well.
I don’t think this mod was made to be anything but painful. It’s kinda fun watching people attempt 1 mission for hours 😂
Someone on chat said there is video of person doing all hardlined missions in single attempt. I kinda wish to watch that if it was not a joke.

It's frustrating how close the mod creator was to something great but decided to put in "lol unfair difficulty" moments.
The ideas of Rub Out are funny in principle but frustrating and obnoxious in practice.
A little more time and patience would have produced a genuinely interesting mod. Instead we are stuck with this mess which is hilarious to watch someone else play but I wouldn't touch it with a 10' barge pole
lol the freeze from trapping lance with the bike is like the cpu usage bug in starcraft when units can't pathfind

I don't think the freezes at the start are the mods fault. It looks like the games actual code tries to unstuck Lance by finding a position near you and teleport him there. However, maybe because you're in an interior, the code fails to find a "valid" Position and then just enters an infinite loop. Looks more like something the original devs did not thought about.
Could the situation happen in the vanilla game though? Because if not, then it is the mod's fault. It'd be stupid to blame the vanilla code for not gracefully handling a situation that wouldn't even happen.
@@jkazos that is the question. I mean in theory you can get Lance stuck the same way in the vanilla game, would be interesting to know what happens then.
Also I’m not really “blaming” the rockstar Devs. It’s just an oversight more than anything. It happens, it happened to the mission where you pick up Mercedes and you show up with a one door vehicle the game soft locks. Got later fixed though.
No one is perfect. But I also think it’s unfair to blame the mod for every crash as well. Also to ride on the term “finished”. As said, VC released, so it was finished, and had a soft lock. I just think it’s unfair and the Vanilla game itself is also not 100% stable.
@@Speed74LPVC gets less criticism for its bugs because it's actually overall good, so you enjoy it in spite of the problems. This mod is horrendous and this person seems to have gone to the Darkseed school of bad game design, so the bitterness comes out.
@@jkazos Fair. I also think game design wise the mod is not very good. However, knowing how wonky the scripting language in the older GTA games can be, i am impressed by how most of it works. Especially the more drastic changes in missions.
Are the crashes shit? Of course. Could it be better including with better testing? Definitely.
Still i think things should be fair and in this particular situation the freezes don't seem to come from the mod. Just my point.
Again Bugs happen, they're unpleasant, but they happen. Things are only being made by humans. Again even Rockstar Games had and still has Bugs in their games, so does every other game and mod. No matter if "finished" or not. I get the frustration, but again, things should be fair.
Someone did this mod, he put something out, thats more most of us ever did. Thats how i see it.

Most of this mod just feels like a poorly made dyom mission with the enemies having 100% accuracy, loads of health and such. Shame as some missions such as demolition man had inventive changes
Rub out mod had the potential to be a good concept of a mission

You should explore the town, there are bribing stars around the map but not at the vanilla locations.
You know, if checkpoints would have existed in this mod, it would actually be good. Cause it's SO FUCKING CREATIVE NO JOKE, but not enough to be difficult but fair at the same time.

No damn way you ran over Lance with the fire truck and then blamed the mod for it 😭😭😭
To be fair its possible to win that fight with diaz goons. You just need mobility from tec or the other smg. And Lance can kill Diaz without any problems if you position him properly and you work as a bait. You dont have to cheeze with pushing out the limos. Anyway... All that difficulty is just unnecessarily over the top and stupid - but in the end... How far can you go with making things harder without making them silly in the end.
Congratulation for the skill and the patience man, now I'm curious what other tortures this mod has to offer

how would you even do the boss fight the intended way, with all those goons infinitely respawing, diaz on the roof, and you just having the pistol?
I watched some guy doing it the intended way without moving limos. He just focused on killing the goons, their spawn rate seemed to decrease after initial wave and let Lance handle shooting Diaz, he actually does a decent job with hitting him. It is very hard because one mistake can get you killed easily but it's technically doable

11:30 That's not true, the difficulty here is to kill the enemies before they damage you so that Lance is not aggro-ed and doesn't lob grenades. Alternatively, leave Lance behind, run him over, etc. Whether Lance commits suicide is a coinflip, but preventing that from happening in the first place is not.
33:00 Not if you heal, armor at Ammunation, health at the hospital. You can do that before triggering the boss battle. (You yourself end up doing just that, so idk what your problem was here)
56:37 That's a dumb thing to say considering you went out of your way to trivialize the boss fight, which is by the way beatable without moving the limos.
