Good information,,not only UK ,,I studied mbbs in china,,my consultant said u can do part time job to cover monthly expense but in china its illegal that students do job and be kept behind bars. Consultant said indian mess will be in university but there is no single indian restaurant around 700 km radius,,he said everyone speak english in university, but except Arabs ,south asians,Africans ,no one in the university speaks english including university chinese national lecturers.
Consultant took 1,70,000 as consultancy fee by saying visa fee and so and so,,and last consultancy said within 15,00,000 u can finish ur 6 yr course and return home,,but reality is every student in university had spent min 28 lakhs to complete ,,average 34 lakhs student spent. Consultants are worst in abroad study.

Exactly !! Soo many countries students cannot work honestly this is out of hands.. And also I am soo sorry to hear this happened to you.. And people need to know. a lot I of young ppl around 18 years are going to abroad struggling and failing to finish their course And no one talks about this 😑
      well said!

@@SENTIBEE101 yes ,,,tamilnadu school childrens are not allowed individually to research foriegn study opportunities from 10 or 11,,after completing 12 they are given very short time to decide what course and country he have to study..The ignorance of the student and parents about foriegn study is trump card for consultants. To study abroad students must do more research in internet and get more contacts in that university by networking before entering that university. I know about lies said by consultant only about medical studies ,,but I came to know about lies said by consultancy in other courses now only.

    • @aravinthaperumal5205

@@SENTIBEE101 Another major issue in foriegn medical universities are no clinical exposure(means teaching how to examine all kind of disease in patient and many procedures ) except some top russian medical universities like kazan(best university for studies but those who didn't study will be expelled irrelevant of his studying year). In kazan ,u can do part time job with police permission, one of friend who studied there had shared this information.
Students who done mbbs other than India and 5 english speaking countries(usa,uk,Canada,Australia, new zealand)must pass a exam called fmge(only 10% appearing students are passing every year).Passing fmge only give license number for abroad studied students to work in India. If they don't pass they cant earn money and can't do pg.
Mbbs in usa,uk,canada,Australia, new zealand cost more that 1 crore.
Many consultant cheat by saying mbbs in America(min ₹50lakhs) and land students in caribbean islands and guyana..consultants say its very easy to get into USA if they study above said collage but the truth is A medical aspirant who want to settle in usa must clear exam called usmle(very tough like IIT exams) which has step 1 exam,step2 exam,step3 exam,,and must submit research paper, should done clinical rotation in US(work experience in US)...To complete above said all exam process the medical aspirant must spend minimum $ 25,000.
Many get fooled by this way.

I am also a student studying in the UK, so whatever she is saying is true. Don't come to study here if you are not fully funded both for your educational expenses and living costs. Even though they say there are a lot of work opportunities available let me confirm that all works are not easy as we imagine most of them are quite difficult, and even though you get a job, they don't offer you regular shifts to work and most of my friends felt upset as they did not pay their fees before coming here. You will get PSW if you follow all the rules and regulations of the government and I believe that so many students' PSW gets rejected only because they work more than they are permitted. If you are fully funded then it's the best place to study, also choose your university wisely, and don't believe consultancy to choose the universities for you. Do thorough research before selecting it.

1000% true. I have been living in the uk for over 20 years and I have seen a massive increase in the economy and it’s living crisis. My parents have been telling people back in srilanka that it’s not worth the pain and struggle over here and they are better off in their own countries. In some cases it’s true but in some other instances it’s abit difficult to live in your own country. My parents fled the war 30 years ago to live in the uk and Iv seen them struggle from day one. Back then there wasn’t any social media or the internet to check these things but now there is so always do your research!

One suggestion though let those who struggle to talk directly whenever and where ever possible. That may let more people to understand the struggle.

Good one , i live in the UK for a decade and I could say there are dozens of students (malayalis and telugu) come everyday searching for job in my shop, unfortunately nobody has experience(obviously they are fresh ) and the (local) shop owners think its hard to teach them , indeed we tried to teach few of them and they didn't shown up next day. They might get brainwashed that the jobs are easy , you can live lavish
    Bur the reality is
    * UK is on recession and every single product price are gone up
    * The energy bills are rigorously high , triple the price of what we used to pay until 3 months ago
    * literally there is no single room available in east ham where mostly our people lives, same everywhere , the next badge from india is gonna land in February wont find a shelter that easy
    * Finding a Job is getting harder day by day , a friend of mine who came 2 months back applied around 500 jobs still couldnt find one
Be prepared for all these things before you apply

I STRONGLY SUGGEST NOT TO GO TO UK UNLESS U HAV 300% REQUIRED MONEY, STRONG BACKUP PLANS,

It's good that you tell true reasons why students face troubles in foreign countries. While consultants are majorly to be blamed, students have access to internet and should do some research from their side. Parents are caught in between with trying to give their children a foreign education and paying off the debts. Youngsters should be more diligent and take time to verify details.

I was in Nottingham till 2015 . Saw a lot of malayalees take a loan and came for study . In city centre lot work as a waitress or pizza shops and cover expenses with that .but job prospects are never there for the last 10 years as most Wall Street jobs are gone . The UK is no longer heavenly to earn and study .The council houses are available and students share rent easily which is affordable. Nottingham has a lot of Malaysian and Chinese students which is genuine .Even Trent University. Maybe some universities may be expensive like Cambridge.
A lot of locals look for a job there which is nill after brexit . Srilankans Pakistanis came as student stat longer without a visa being deported back . Uk is no more heaven for any .

Good points from the presenter. My points are for the viewers, may be add these thoughts over this young woman's points.
I came here as a student in 2001 and live here very comfortably still now
    First Consultancies...
If you are a person who can be influenced by a consultancy easily and not have your own strong aims, do not come here, its not the degree you attain will get you a job here its your personality that will help you. You need to have strong personality to survive here.
Secondly your aim should be to study not to work and earn money atleast until you finish your degree.
Third, science background studies have more scope here for future jobs and settlements, MBA and arts degrees are useless from settlement point, you won't get a job even if you do they won't provide work permit
Fourth, good universities generally give conditional offers and ask you to attain certain level in IELTS, if a university don't ask for IELTS it's the first indication that the university is not great.
Fifth, individuals should do their own research and verify things rather than listening to videos like this or advices like the one I'm giving here. Self dependency is absolutely important to live in UK and be successful.
    Good luck to you all.

Good eye opener for prospective candidates who plan to come to UK. The official minimum wage is £10.90 in the UK and £11.95 in London. Many students work officially for the stipulated hours and get paid officially through the bank. They also work unofficially for longer hours for cash in hand. Some unscrupulous employers, mainly our own people give much less than the minimum wage for cash-in-hand jobs. Students accept it as beggars can't be choosers. If you do not ignore attendance, happy to work and lucky to have a good employer, certainly you can earn some money.

I am a PhD student and I received a studenship for 3 years which is almost 18,000 GBP per year. However, I didn't receives any penny for living expenses. So, at the end I need to pay my rental, food, etc on my own. But, eneke tereyillai if a person received a conditional offer letter from the university which states tht the candidate need to pay roughly about 17000 GBP per year to attend the course, would tht be ever possible for thm to pay their fee even if in an extreme situation that thy've a part time job with 12 gbp per hour. I think, orru student UK ke vare mothu, orru vathi illai 1000 times think panenum, especially with the huge currency difference between the country they came from and the country they gonna study. Senseless r ereku if just because of PSW nareya candidates UK tsunami matheri vanthethu aperum solar tsunami matheri homeland ke poge vendete kathayetheku vantherange.

UK education is over priced for international students. Study only with scholarship - at least Partial. Not many students are focused ob education but thinking about quick money. I never used consultancy. I have lived over 10+ years. All the point she has said is very true.

So many edits. I too understand your concern in sharing genuine information. Its not easy to be addressing real issues when you have people working to stop you. Be it consultancy, be it any other entity.
So the ultimate deal is its not all sunshine and butterfly guys. And in matter of 10 years, I guess the necessity to go to a foreign university to study would be little to completely obsolete. Think a little hard and grasp the culture than just for the tag that you have a foreign university degree.

UK was never a heaven…with limited technology 20 years ago, it was even harder. The country is in a recession and locals struggle too. How do you expect unregulated job market to support students ? Punch those consultancies on their face, should they say so…If you don’t have the funds, just don’t go. Be well informed before making your decision.
