Rig looks great- I'm liking the celestron dew ring but I'm using it with my Pegasus dew controller and it seems okay. I might check out the celestron controller and I definitely think I like that hard dew shield. Can't wait to see the image!
Hi Amy . At the 6:29 mark you show some 3D Printed Cable management devices . Where did you get them ? I'm hoping the 3D File might be available for those of us that can 3D print locally .Great setup BTW . /SRK
Thank you! I got the cable management from Etsy. He has other astro gadgets also. www.etsy.com/listing/939498346/cable-clip-organizer-set-of-3-pcs?click_key=bfd888e2e3bd350c6516016aac3b8697fdf54ec7%3A939498346&click_sum=892ee4b4&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=cable+managment+3d+printed&ref=sr_gallery-2-24&organic_search_click=1&sts=
Hi Amy, Hmmm, interesting ... about the Celestron 4x dew controller/power box. I have been considering getting this package for the EdgeHD 11. It is good to know that you can get that aux cable to run the focuser for non-Celestron mounts (but that is not an issue for me as I am using the CGX mount). I had issues with the focuser connecting to NINA and found out that it MUST be connected to the aux port on the mount. You can control it with just a USB connection and power source, but it will not be recognized by NINA in that mode. Keep up the good work ... An observatory coming soon???
Very hard question. I think this is personal and how much time you have. The most would be 100 images per filter. I try to get enough data so I can see faint detail. The fainter the target the more images I will try to get. More images also has a bonus of smoothing out the noise. If I have several clear nights in a row I will stay on the same target and get as much as I can. I also purge a lot of images.
For me, I still needed to add a power cable. I ran out of USB ports for when I needed to use my polemaster, or connect a keyboard fob. This way kept one open for when I needed one temporarily.
Good job (as usual)
Thank you! Cheers!
I really wish this entire series existed when I went from a Z61 to an 11" RASA V2 lol!!! Great video as always and thank you so much!
Thanks for watching! That is a beast scope!!!
Well done Amy, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Great explanation. This is probably my next scope 🤓. Thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful! I am really loving it.
Very slick set up...worth the effort in the end
Thank you!

Good looking setup. Question: How is the dew heater controller powered?
It requires 12vdc. It comes with a red/black cable that plugs into the side with the dew RCA plugs. The end is a cig plug.

I really hope so. I am planning now and hopefully when the weather cools some.
In you opinion how much data is too much? What is the largest amount of data you have used on one target?

@@AmyAstro Do ever add new data to a previous years data or start all projects as new?
@@CaptRescue2 I combine data from multiple years if the data is good.
i'm a non celestron mount and dew controller user, but i do have the focuser. What do I do?!
Why not just connect the Celestron focuser via USB? No special cable requred.
For me, I still needed to add a power cable. I ran out of USB ports for when I needed to use my polemaster, or connect a keyboard fob. This way kept one open for when I needed one temporarily.
