- We were lucky to visit EPCOT the same day STARSHIP landed there...right in front of the American Pavilion....Mickey has one of the best voices in Rock n Roll...and Stephanie is right up there with him

I personally know Starship. Great group of people. I came to know them at my Aunt's funeral of all places. My dad saw an old friend of his. Her name is Stephanie Calvert. She told him that she was in Starship and I was introduced to her. She ended up getting us to meet Starship. Next time they come to Las Vegas (where I live and Stephanie lives), we'll get to see them with backstage passes!

As a related "Bay Area Talent" note, Steve Perry has more than earned his accolades as one of the best Singers in Rock & Roll History, but that list should ALSO include Mickey Thomas. He and Dennis DeYoung are STILL kicking ass Live, and to be brutally honest, have a far better range than Steve does at this point.
When you are out there LIVE - NO tapes , NO Auto Tune - it's called TALENT ! Live , Kick ASS , night AFTER night , despite bad food , room and travel . These are REAL PRO'S . Live music like this is where the rubber meets the road !

I caught Starship with Mickey Thomas and Silent Partner in Pittsburgh on the 29th of August. Both bands were awesome! I was able to get 5 out of 6 autographs of Starship, only missing Mickey Thomas. Very laid back and easily approachable band members! Thank you for making my trip to Pittsburgh this year unforgettable! My husband may not have won his bodybuilding competition but Starship has won a new forever fan!!!
Hooked on this song in prob 1979 when it was new, my 9th grade picnic. Carried the boombox on my shoulder and played the cassette tape. It was many years later when I learned that Mickey sang on Fooled around and fell in love!
This the absolute best band I have ever seen live, bar none. They are really phenomenal!

This is Starship with Mickey Thomas. He is the only one left from anyone in that line up. Jefferson Starship has David Feinburg, Danny Baldwin and other alumni. The only song from the Mickey Thomas era they do is Jane, which was written by David Feinberg.

Epcot? Mickey has the best voice in Disney World, and you really got to see Minnie when she does Goofy. What? No, her impression of Goofy. Really. Some people. You can dress 'em up in two-button shorts... lol... The American Pavilion at Epcot, oh my. It's not so very far from waiting tables at Red Lobster in Milpitas. C'mon, Find Your Way Back, Mickey!
