Wonderful example of a devout man, living his faith everyday. Strong and determined, trying to be kind and good. Held in high esteem by everyone who met him is testimony to his true achievement of being a good man. God Bless you Tommy and may God Bless and keep your family safe too.
Tommy Burns ripped my DUFC apart countless times but tbh I'd watch him do it all over again, what a player, what a man. Loved how Aitken says Tommy was a fan who got to play, perfect description, R.I.P Mr Burns.
I'm a Hibernian supporter but you can have players from other teams you admire and TOMMY BURNS was one of many I admired even though he scored and hurt my own team a true gentleman Celtic and Scotland legend
As the saying goes "only the good die young" and they don't come much better than Tommy Burns... He's grave is next to my dads , two gentlemen, and may they both rest in peace.......TB Legend ....
Love the John Hughes bits. He was a hammer thrower at Falkirk, as I'm sure he'd admit himself! But he was a fantastic defender in the 95-96 season, he really didn't look out of place in a ball-playing, passing team. And of course there was his late equaliser at Ibrox. Well done Yogi! 🙂
Rangers man here Remember where I was when the news broke of Mr Burns' death came through the radio seemed a lovely man. Rivalry goes out the window in these times
