    Got to use the Fronius TransSteel 2200 to convert this Old rotten wooden deck trailer into a nice metal deck. The welder was flawless of course!

    That looks nice. You should really consider building a front fairing to keep all of that Colorado road debris from blasting your load, especially since hoods fell out of style.

    I have never used one of their welding machines, and probably won't ever either because they just don't fit in the average weekend warrior budget. Especially when you can buy so many different fantastic welders for under $1000.00 these days it makes it very hard to spend 3 or 4 times as much for a welder that is only going to be used a few times a month at most. As for the trailer if the deck is too weak and starts warping under the load you can add a couple tread sections like the car haulers use and that diamond plate will just have to carry things like spare tires and tool boxes. Good work though.

    I feel like you made a lot of extra work for yourself by not just leaving the bars long and doing a smaller height standoff for making the deck height level with the outside, also might have lost some strength. good video either way. turned out nice.

    Bro don’t you love how many professional fabricators watch and comment on your videos? “You should have done it this way” blah blah blah. Maybe they should get off of the RUclips comment section and out to their fab shops and make something. Talk is cheap.

    Take out the wood.
    Repurpose the old wood to improve the kids tree house.
    Lay down diamond plated steel with braces on trailer frame. Weld it in several spots....
    Not complicated at all

  • @calholli
    @calholli 6 месяцев назад

    Wow.. you did it about the hardest way possible and came up with the worst result. lol.
    You should have cut your risers shorter so that you could leave your runners long and stack them on top. Then they would have been one long piece instead of having so many short cuts. Plus the span across the middle is too far. It should have had another runner down the center. I bet you went back and put another runner down the center later.
