Just bought one in Dark Gray Metallic last night (New Years Eve 2022). I bought my first Gen1 Escape XLT Sport in 2004 (same Dark Gray metallic) and loved it. The best one we had was a 2011 Hybrid in that lovely Kiwi Green color. When the Gen4 body came out in 2020 we started looking for a good deal on a used one, and found one a week or so ago. In the last 18 years my wife and I have owned one of each "Generation" of the Escape.
The gearing of the 8 speed transmission in the 3 cylinder escape keeps that tiny turbo engine right in the sweet spot it actually drives faster than my 320+ hp car under normal conditions lol.. ie just casually hitting the gas pedal it gets up to speed WAY quicker i was honestly shocked at the gearing and low end torque this thing puts out
Had the 21 escape as a rental while we had our bronco sport in for inside protection coating. And my gf and I were really surprised it was nice, really techy inside thought it was cool how the dash would change design when you put it into sport mode or slippery mode.
I would love to get a sales guy like this. He seems normal and chill. I’ve been shopping for a car and everyone has been a tool so far. We don’t have the 2021’s in Canada yet.
Sounds a good make smooth and up to date car I driveing a 2014 model eco sport only done 22 000 miles and so proud of it thanks for video and keeping us all up to date with new model 👍
The styling of this new Escape just isn't clicking with me like the previous generation. I'd personally go for a Bronco Sport instead, the styling fits my taste a lot better. Great review as always!
I love the automatic pilot system that this vehicle has. One question though, you don’t have to continue pressing on the gas with the automatic system right? Does the vehicle control all aspects of the drive such as detecting pedestrians?
Thanks for the great review. Planning to buy an suv in the next couple days - narrowed it down to Ford, Subaru, Jeep or Buick. I have been driving Toyota Camrys for years and would appreciate your opinion of the four I have chosen as far as safety, mpg, and affordability.
I drive a Hyundai creta diesel in India. Its 1.5 litre naturally aspirated manual And its super responsive and produces a good amount of torque and power. Will ford escape disappoint me? I was thinking of buying one in canada. Should I go for titanium model which has 2 litre engine?
I just got this SUV. Everything is great except for the most important thing. The Seat. There is literally no butt support where when you seat it sink in and it hurts your back a lot. After 30 minutes of driving I can't drive no more.
Not sure if you’re doing these tests for a dealership or just on your own. Demonstrating the adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist in the manner that you recorded might be grounds for dismissal at most car dealerships. Neither one of those features is intended to “self-drive” this car and could actually be very dangerous in the way you present them. Just sayin’.
I work in security for the past 10 years. I drove pass three generations of this vehicle, multiple cars as well. This is by far the worst Ford Escape model they ever made!!! door hinge start to falling off on on 10k miles. it's extremely underpower and feels like gas pedal is not responding. Extremely late response on all three cars that we have... there is the whole list of other problems it have. On current vehicle that I'm driving that at this moment have only 17000 miles.. not even poking about some transmission issues. DO NOT BUY!!!

Yeah, I always loved the 11 body style Escape Hybrid in green, that was my dream car as a teenager. 😁😂
I just purchased one last week and I love it!
If you love it you'll probably was driving something back from 1930s...
@@IvanRossS Your grammar is from the caveman days
That was an excellent, all around, real world review!!!!! I would really love to test drive one.

Yes I was also surprised! it’s a quick lil suv
same ppl talk bad about it but i think it’s a great combination
Really solid review, appreciate the detail and relaxed-tone. Also cool to see Franklin, TN on here!

This is my favorite SUV! Amazing job bro.

Nice to see that they got rid of the weird triangle door textures. That was my only complaint about this car and now it's perfect!
Car is built like cheep garbage compared to the last generation.
@@karlporath8904Meh… At least it doesn’t look like garbage. As long as you don’t crash everything’s fine

I'm saving up for one. A titanium though. These escapes are my favorite.
The SE doesn't come with a rear center arm rest either I see.
Part of a package.
Awd 1.5 can tow up to 3,500 lb
I think this is my tip choice now. Great review!
GREAT REVIEW!...Thank you.

Doesn't it look like the Porsche Cayenne?
@@michaelchin3550more like the ford puma in the uk

It's supposed to, but this is a driver assistance system, not fully autonomous, so It's not to be relied on in that way.
I got one last month and I already want a new car. The ride is not smooth at all! It feels like I’m driving a boat on the water.

Subaru or Buick are my personal favorites.
@@NothinButCarReviews Thanks.
Hi, Which vehicle did you purchase?
Mine has ac In the back on top of the charging port so wth
I bought one with the sport appearance package
No dual climate control for 2021? Wow! My old 16 accord has dual climate
The SEL has dual climate control
new generation car gonna look like this
3 cylinder?
Yep. :)
Please review a ram trx ive been waiting so long
It’s gonna be a minute, a lot of them are special order, so I haven’t been able to drive that OR a super stock. 😩
How u open the gas cap 😭
I think you can click door.
You push it in and it pops out.

2 liter engine is very strong for segment in my opinion
Thanks got one this helped.

Do some squats! LOL.
It apparently has affected your grammar too.
Got one 2 months ago
Looks like Ford took the power driver's seat out of the 2021 Escape SE. What's up with that? Very cheap!
I just got one today. full power seats upfront
Yes,I learned you can get a power seat with the optional convenience package. Gives you lots of extras.
Damn these new ford have small engines comparing older ford fusions 3.0l and 3.5l v6
@@theshield1613 As with every brand (except possibly Mazda), small forced injection engines have replaced larger naturally aspirated engines
@@johntapscott4528 Seems like it would’ve been a good idea to figure that out before attempting to roast Ford….

The Ford Escape is now a status symbol car! Same as a Ferrari Enzo , Bentley Bentayga is.
I love mine
How’d it still keep up?
If that car would be free somebody would be having a free escape am I right
Yes, you right. 😂
That driver seat looks like a toilet
💺 seat cover...
Nice
Looks boring and predictably cheap.3 Cylinders? LOL..
That transmission control is stupid.
It looks like a 2016 mazda cx5
No…. No it doesn’t really
No it don’t.
It’s giving me Tesla vibes
Wife just got her new one.... Total regret. This is cheap junk compared to the 2018 she just turned in.
And I know like 3 people who love their escapes, what’s your point? It sounds like she got a bad one, shit happens
