The only issue I've had was the backup camera just replaced. I'm averaging 39 mpg altogether. I really like some of the interior upgrades for 2021 and may consider a Titanium when my lease is up in another 1.5 year.
I have 8500 miles on my 2020 Escape Titanium Hybrid, and am averaging 40.7 mpg with mostly suburban driving( 45mph-ish) Backup camera was only issue but was replaced by dealer. I traded a Honda CRV for the Escape, and really think the Escape is more fun to drive especially through the curves.

Bought a 2013 Escape in Sept 2012. Warned Ford that they manufactured the vehicle with the front door hitting rear door when opening and closing chipping paint. Ford never fixed problem which was a simple update on the CAD system installing doors. FORD does not care about quality because that was a simple fix. Now they have a new design again. They did not care before so do you think all of a sudden they will start caring about quality. Last week sold my Escape (yippee) after receiving my factory ordered Mazda CX 5 Gt Sport. No comparison in quality to Ford. Love my new Mazda. Had issues with Escape even before driving off the lot when bought new. Doors chipped 4 times so painted 4 times under warranty. I hate Ford….. Good luck to those who buy one. You will need it.
It literally has led brake lights, what more do you want? They could of just made the brake lights the turn signal but they add amber unlike most automakers. If it matters so much you can put led turn signals for under $10. Toyota is the same way thankfully
I can't stand the digital gauges and what is it with ford and that stupid turn knob gear selector. They also need more soft touch material on the dashboard because the hard plastics scratch way too easily. Too plain for a top trim. Don't agree with the sound system I prefer bose or at least sony.
