The Paper Airplane Factory

To fulfil our social responsibility as EKMO Lean Consultancy; with the contributions of Assistant Professor Münire Berna Beşkese and Associate Professor Serkan Özel from Üsküdar and Boğaziçi Universities, we have developed an innovative and interactive training program for applying Lean Principles to facilitate easy learning and understanding.
The program consists of a theoretical component that covers all the essential lean methods and rules for process development and improvement. These methods and rules are then applied in a practical paper airplane game, enabling students to better grasp the principles and learning objectives.
What makes the game unique is its ability to convey the key principles of low-cost automation within lean methods, while also visualizing the impact of these approaches on overall success. The game offers students initial hands-on experience in the application of Lean, providing them with a valuable advantage as they prepare to enter their professional careers.
