For once an AI story that doesn’t end with them trying to kill us, they just want to bring us back from Extinction *Jurassic Park Style*

When the New Humanity reaches the stars and any aliens ask us how we survived such a devastating sequence of plagues, or why we work so closely with AIs.
Human: "That's the thing, we didn't. And it was only because of those AIs that we were able to rise from the ashes of our ruin like a phoenix. So, you want to know why we work so closely with them? Why we see them as family? Because they were our parents, who raised us after theirs, our predecessors, died out. They were brought into being by Humanity, and they brought Humanity back from the darkness of extinction. So yes, they are family. They have proven it beyond any shadow of a doubt."

I think whatever Zenos testing is with HFY stories are saying yes

i wonder how humanity would react to these machines within a few generations. Wouldn't it be cool if the robots' "funny ideas" of human habits leave and impression on the new humanity, leading humanity to emulate these strange habits and thereby be self fulfilling?

If ai is good enough and they think it’s optimal they could easily create bio machines that look and act like humans the only issue is their ability to transfer consciousness to these new meat suits.

I saw the 1337 on the screen before you got to it and asked myself "Just how is he going to pronounce this?" You did not go the route I expected, but it was lulzy nonetheless. :P

Good story but any person who understands issues with plagues/ diseases would notice big issues right away..like how a disease that spreads and kills that fast just burns itself out making quarantine a very good measure against it. So unless it is airborne with a very very long hibernation period it would have a hard time spreading enough to be an issue.

We already have viruses that can self-replicate, only needing energy and matter (we're talking elements here, it doesnt need to be biological)
They're technically not G-O-F So the americans have been researching them in their own labs, there are studies available if you got a subscription to the right journals (since i dont work in the field and no longer study at a uni that has one, i dont have a license)

This one was just plain boring. It needed a hundred more letter's and number's to describe various characters.
