Nice video! I remember watching this when I was 4! This railroad almost reminds me of the Huron and Eastern railroad in mid Michigan. They use a fleet of GP38-2s, and GP9s (as seen in this video), SD45s, and SD40-2s. They use the orange, yellow, and back paint scheme also seen in the video. Even the scenery looks the same! The only difference is that the Huron and Eastern uses mostly grain hoppers instead of logs because of the large supply of grain.
I remember when I was 5 or so I first saw this video nostalgalic
I was 2 or 3 when I first saw this
Love the quality and my son enjoys it too!
Our AM routine consists of watching choo-choos!
The quality still is good
I remember starting to watch these videos ever since being like 7 years old. And now a regional railway owns our railway here in North Florida, which was previously owned by CSX. This railroad has something in common with the railroad in my home town now.
I’m glad to say this was one of the first train videos I ever saw (the farthest I can remember watching is 3-4yrs)
I REMEMBER WATCHING THIS TOO THE NOSTALGIA
I remember this from my childhood
I love the crossing bells. That's like the musical soundtrack along with the horn and the squeaks and creaks of the wheels.
This is undoubtedly one of the best train videos on RUclips ! ! !
Ahhh, the memories
yes i miss watching this
HOLY CRAP, I'VE BEEN SERCHIN THIS VIDEO FOR A DECADE, AND I FINALLY FOUND IT!!!!!
I love this train consist and I remember me watching this when I was young
And the “CN freight train” videos too.
Same!!!
Never get tired of seeing trains, airplanes and ships
I have been looking for this video ALL OVER RUclips, but I finally found it. I watched this video over and over and OVER again when I was like 5 or 6 but I found it. I thank you for never deleting it.
Cool mix of power there
THIS CAME OUT BEFORE I WAS BORN AND I STILL LOVE IT!
BEST MAN EVER
Thanks Bill, that really does means something to me coming from you.
This video gives back so many memories
Thank for the comment, I met a woman yesterday that told me she made the mistake of showing her son my videos. Now that's all he wants to do.
My 3 year old son love's to watch trains so I put this on & shortly after I realized I have been down that same exact rail where this was filmed going into Portland from Vancouver. Thank you for posting this video.
Yes, I haven't seen 5 engines in a long time.
so the first train up front is the ex santa fe
@@melaniehowie4744 it's not a train it's a locomotive
I'm always amazed at how good your HD videos are Ervans! Makes me want to go out and buy a train set for the boys! 5 stars as usual.
This was one of the first ever train videos I watched. Your channel helped bring me into the world of railfanning, and I have to thank you for that. I hope you all the best and to be successful in your endeavors. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏻
As an old timer who used to play around the Maine Central RR railyards in the 40s and 50s, I love these videos. I miss watching a long long train go by and then having the caboose go by to mark the end.
Absolutely beautiful! Love it! Always fascinated by trains!
I Remember In My Young Days I Would See This Freight Train Many Times Nonstop
I want to tell you ervans trains thank you so much for posting these videos because if I didn’t see them I wouldn’t like trains like I do!
I was born into a railroading family, my grandfather worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad for 52 years.. I took my first train ride when I was real young, and my grandfather bought me a .027 gauge Lionel train set when I was 1 year old.. I still have my scale model trains this very day!!
I am 75 and I love them as much as the 2 year olds. THANKS
My two year old nephew is annoyingly obssesed with trains!! Thank you for uploading them!!
Yes, I really liked this

Oh my gawd, haven’t watched this video in so long
Great looking EMD GP9, I have a lot of great memories of them when the were new with Santa Fe Railway during my Throttle Jerking years. Great video.
Don :-)

This is the first video I watched from this guys channel when I was 3 or 4
OMFG THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF THE FIRST TRAIN VIDEOS I WATCHED ON RUclips, my first train video was by Brenton81
Thanks for posting. Many, many years ago, my grandpa took me training watching. Videos like this bring back many happy memories!
The sound in the rear unit is a sputter valve which levitates moisture from the air tanks.
Our little boy loves watching your videos!!!! thanks
Thank you for the comment, this one seems to be a favorite
Another fantastic capture -- 21st century lash-up taking us back as far as the (modernized/nose-chopped) gen 1 days. Zooming in to show the crew is a cool detail I can't recall seeing anywhere else in the hundreds of hours of train vids I've watched over the many years I've been using You Tube.
I'm with thaproducer1988! I grew up around trains with my dad being a 40 yr RR veteran. I loved em then, and I love em now! Trains move not only the goods you use everyday, but also millions of passengers every year. And they truly remarkable pieces of engineering, especially EMD units like the ones on this train. There are EMD locomotives in service that were built in the 1940's. Like thaproducer1988 said, don't hate just cuz you don't appreciate them. There are lots of other videos on RUclips.
my son loves these train clips. Thank you for sharing
Very cool!!!!!!! Love the horns, different sound from most. Thanks for sharing
This has to be the first train video I’ve ever watched
Omg... I FINALLY saw a PW 2303!! Man, i've been having some bad luck lately, but that just made up for it all... YES!!
It's nice to have found this channel again after so long
Thank you for the memories I hope you return one day!
I'm a tram and I approve this video! Love the footage!
Great video. A classic railroading scene.
Ah yes, the video that got me into trains when I was hardly 2 years old when I saw it. I was around 1 and 1/2 I know that for sure. I gave it the nickname "The Chip Train" because the logo on the front looked like a chip to me.
Nice to hear
My 2 1/2 year old nephew is obsessed with trains, he loves watching these. Thank you for making and uploading these. Makes my life easier when looking after him! lol
The color set of locomotives and wagons formed a moving painting. Beautiful image. I'm a fan of trains. Congratulations.
my little cousin is watching these and he loves them
Great video! Our kids love watching it!
loved that old geep that was kicking at the end of the power! About like our two GP7's we have here on the SLWC! Great video.
Great video. Love seeing the Gp-39`s earning their keep!
Great video, thank you for sharing this one with us.
I FOUND IT I REALLY FOUND IT. MY CHILDHOOD
This was the very first RUclips video I watched!
Awesome! Sad they're making it a quiet zone. Drove by it today, and the medians are almost done.
nice to see 2 ex ATSF units and a GP9E on the lashup
My dad worked at C&O, now Seaboard Coastlines, for 30 years. When I was five I even had a birthday party on the train! I also love the Chessie cat logo for C&O. Wow this is a _great_ channel. ;-)
Looks awesome in HD.
THIS IS THE FIRST VIDEO I EVER WATCHED ON RUclips OMGGGGGG
Man i remember watching this alot when i was 4 years old i,m 16 now
My 2 year old loved this :)
Fantastic quality and composure.
Some of these short lines sure run a grab bag assortment of used motive power. With street running, varied customers and loads makes a good change from the monotony of first class unit trains.
That's what makes regional railroads special
I remember watching it when i was 5 !
What a line-up!!! Nice!!!Great photography!!!
Excellent film! What a train! It took more than five minutes to cross the road crossing. It was a real treat to watch. Thank you for sharing. Take care and have a great summer!
...anwar...

Wide World of Trains im your fan
Love the detail of the cars carrying both milled lumber (2:00) and raw cut lumber. Northwest for sure.
nice video. gotta love the old engines still in the Santa Fe colors.
I'm currently modeling the Portland area and the grey ghoast number 1805,thanks for the awsome video!!
Thanks, That old PW 1805, I hadn't seem before.
my 2 year old daughter loves watching your videos
WOW very nice catch!! great to see them Geeeps!
5 engines all running heavy on mixed freight on possibly not so heavy a line great video loved the mix of freight
Nice to see the old blue-and-yellow warbonnets somewhere still active on the rails. Even though the Santa Fe has been painted out, still nice to see them. You would think the short line companies would use cabooses. If they would, that would be the icing on the cake for me. Mike in Fresno, Ca.
Very, very nicely done. I am impressed by how clear this video is. great job!
Thanks, I really like your videos
Love this video!
I remember watching this when I was 4
Thank you
We've got the same colors and logo on our RRF trains, must be the same main comapny. Atmost amazing!
Thanks, great to hear
MY 3 YR OLD WATCHES THIS EVERYDAY HE LOVES IT***
