    Why is the result on CST so bad after following design equations for the helical antenna? Also how did you come up with the new values to update/fix the simulation? You just copied the demo which defeats the point of using the design equations in the first place

      The design equation is theoretically to achieve the desire frequency. But is not perfect, then we just do some tuning to make the frequency swifting.

    while defining the line1 at time (04:22) of your video, how do you decide the v2 should be 1.95, is it okay to use with a 3.3 GHz frequency, or should change it?

      Hi, For v2 1.95 is follow the d2 diameter divide by 2. for 3.3 GHz please use the helical calculator in description to calculate it. Then find your d2 value.

      @@LYSStuff okay, thanks! also, the model didn't run due to the limitations of the student edition in which the maximum cad faces can't exceed 500, is there any way to reduce them?

      @@KavyaAgarwalbec hi, you could try to reduce the mesh setting. But if still 500 limit, then no choice. Limitation of student version. You also can try look for helix antenna design in CST example file.

    Hi, the impedance of this antenna is 150 ohm, how can u achieve the impedance matching?

      Hi, you may refer to 10:47. There have shown how to match the 50 ohm, important is the SMA 50 ohm. And 11:50

      @@LYSStuff You use the 50 ohm coaxial cable, but the impedance of this antenna is 150 ohm based calculation. if just change the coil diameter and spacing of this antenna, the S11 can become ideal but the axial ratio is shown bad. I try to build the antenna model and i am wondering about this. Thanks for your reply.

      @@ZAX_3 hi, may I know how worst is it... It should be below 3dB. Else you can just tune again the antenna coil diameter. There is no direct specific calculation for this.

    how to get number of S and coil diameter? thus get S- par 2.45 GHz?

      Hi, For S actually is the turn of helical antenna which to increase the gain of helical antenna. Coil diameter also depend manufacturer or our resources we have which type of diameter. Thicker can support higher power.
      Both of S and coil diameter also depend on your application. compact or big antenna required for ur application. Therefore, there is no fix number of S or Coil diameter for 2.45 GHz design.

    Dear, could you desigin a LORA 433MHZ Helical Antenna, I am devleloping a IoT project , PCB has been finished ,but I need a suitable antena to keep the long distance, the antena should be installed in the box near the PCB. only a small space to place the antena. if you could help me to desigin and simulate, we could contact with email.

      I followed the guidelines and designed the antenna but i have a problem with the port. When i simulate the the antenna I get this error: "port 1 is inhomogeneously filled with the first 3 mesh cells".
      I'm using a strip instead of wire in my design and the ground plane thickness is 2 mm it worked previously when the ground thickness was 10 mm but i have to use 2mm.

      Oh my, I have no idea why that error occur after change the thickness. Maybe it overlapping with other component.
