For anyone new to NOISZ SL, here’s a quick breakdown on why this chart took almost a year to clear First off, in order to even unlock the chart, you must get an S on the Hard difficulty of the song (which requires getting a Full Combo and No-Hit on each individual verse/section, which can thankfully be spliced and done via multiple runs) (unlocking the song itself just requires a paid club pass, and it also comes from the original NOISZ game in PC). The Hard chart is a 12, making it the hardest Hard chart in the game. **VERSE 1** 0:05 First and foremost, this is one of the only charts in the game to contain Void Bullets, which kill you instantly. As for the hold notes, the game tracks which finger you used to press the note, and that finger needs to be used to activate the end of the hold note (as well as the lines within). This means that we’re required to do the janky crosshands while also avoiding insta-kills. 0:15 If you’ve seen TaroNuke’s Mawaru series from NotITG, you know what’s up. Want to pause to see the numbers better? Well, the devs thought of that and the numbers will turn into sad faces (fun fact Taro worked on this chart actually). The red notes are mine notes, and they will take damage to you character even if you just hold within their proximity instead of tap. While you do go out of bounds from the hold note (you have to to avoid the mines), you still have to keep your finger pressed down, as well as hit the regular notes and occasionally go back to the hold note. Did I mention you have to do this while dodging giant insta-kills in the bullet field? 0:25 This is the only chart in the game to introduce slide notes that require you to tap the screen and slide, instead of just sliding. There’s also down-slide notes which are also used rarely. This section is easier, but that’s just because you still need to take a mental note of the food prices. 0:36 A reference to the No Hints Here! chart in this game (yeah the funny ADOFAI Mawaru’s in this game), where the buttons are replaced with platformer inputs. There are slow instakills to watch out for, as well as WHATs (cats) that deal the same damage as a regular bullet. When the autoscroll starts, there’s a black laser waiting to instakill you if you fall. The WHATs actually ignore said autoscroll and attack as if the screen is locked in place. 1:00 An optical illusion where it looks like you’re stuck in a 3D decahedron that tracks you, except the illusion is actually real and you will take damage if one of the (full opacity) black bullets hits you. You’ll also have to dodge black (tracking) bullets and lasers. This is combined with hold note crosshands that also involve dodging mine notes while your fingers are tangled up. Hell, later in the section, the rhythm-field gets treated like it’s regular-ass 4k. 1:23 Oh yeah here’s halved notes which are also very rare to find in charts. They just treat the field like it’s 8K instead of 4K. **VERSE 2** The start of a new verse! Which means you get a health refill. Which also doesn’t really mean much since most things instakill you already. Look on the bright side, Forged in Darkest Abyss (the other 13.5 that was cleared much faster than this one) only has one verse, so it’s not completely merciless. 1:24 Anyway, time for some chart bullet pattern references, starting with ANNIHILATOR by Akira Complex (o7). A snake like pattern of void bullets combined with void lasers that require split second reaction time to avoid. 1:29 Valkyrius:0 by Juggernaut.’s kunai and laser pattern. The lasers are extremely close together and you essentially need to memorize when the void lasers hit, while baiting them so that they don’t hit you while you have to squeeze through the opening. 1:35 DIAGRAM by Hommarju’s fading-out bullet pattern. Yes, they can still attack you when invisible. At least the bullets here are a little more symmetrical and follow more of a pattern. 1:40 Lure by Laur+Senzai’s bullet endkill (only this time it’s in the middle of the song. So I guess it’s a midkill). Yeah if you thought that section sucked just imagine it but with instakills. 1:45 Here are the halved notes again. They get to a point where the charters use them to draw art and still expect you to hit them. I’m pretty sure the burst at the end are 1/32nd notes, almost undoable with just your pointer and middle and requires accurate multifinger spamming and location. You’ll also notice GeoSD2 using bursts to cheese the section a little (can you seriously blame them). 1:55 The fabled “void snake” from Forged in Darkest Abyss by Codly. While you don’t have to dodge them in the dark, there’s two of them now, one slower than the other, so you’ll have to keep track on both. Even WHATs appear later into the section. 2:18 Oh yeah, up-flicks cuz they weren’t introduced yet, here you go. 2:19 Another No Hints Here! chart reference. Just get the fish to the end, but keep in mind that the fish can take damage from the bullets to, where red bullets cut half their health, and void bullets kill them instantly. Catch 3 fish before the section ends or else you get hit three times. Doing this section early also gives Oskari a new bullet pattern you have to avoid, but in the vid he does it for like a millisecond. 2:43 A section with polyrhythmic flicks and reactive void lasers that you essentially need to memorize, along with tiny void kunais to keep you on your toes. These sections are followed by tricky 8K gameplay. Just keep in mind that those sections aren’t as bad as they could be, as missing a note doesn’t deal as much damage as taking damage from a red bullet. **VERSE 3** 3:08 Exactly what it looks like; a lights out puzzle. Pausing during this section will spawn a WHAT that messes with your pattern. You have to do this while in the minigame control scheme from halved halved halved, as well as avoid instakills that come from the center. Not to mention having to do the section in time, or else you get hit three times. People literally wrote programs specifically for this chart to solve these faster. 3:31 This part is just as hard as it looks, as much as it’s pretty to look at, where the three types of bullets all rotate in set speeds that make them impossible to dodge. Silently, your player hitbox gets smaller just for this part. The “Burst active” comes from the boss, and they make it so that you are unable to use your burst during this section, meaning you can’t cheese it. You can see GeoSD2 essentially tank through the entire part by dodging only the void bullets and not caring about red and blue ones. Yeah I don’t think ANYBODY wants to learn that. 3:56 I hope you remembered the food prices from earlier! If you fail, there will be an undodgeable void trail at the end of the chart. genuinely might be the hardest official mobile rhythm game chart, massive GGs
Wow, this blew up. Yeah, this was a ridiculous play for a ridiculous chart. But it turned out that each part individually was fairly doable, just that doing everything all in one run was extremely tough. Maintaining that second health bar all the way up to the bullets in the third verse was an extreme challenge by itself, with all the notes in the middle of the song. All in all, a fun challenge, thank you ktern and taronuke for charting this, and everyone who was involved with the game's development. This is probably the most unique gaming experience I've had. Please don't misunderstand and assume all the charts in this game are like this though. This one song is definitely an outlier. NOISZ STARLIVHT is an extremely fun game, rhythm game x bullet hell is one surprisingly fun combination. If there are any rhythm gamers that are scared by the bullet hell aspects of this game, note that I have never played bullet hell games before this one. It will be hard, you will probably have to swallow your pride and actually play the easy difficulty levels, but it will be an extremely unique experience that you really can't get anywhere else. You can do it! I believe in y'all. (^▽^)
oh my god he actually did it.. Dude, you have no idea how HUGE a feat this is. From the moment MAMAHOHO showed the OL chart off we all thought it to be impossible. Hm, safe to say that's been dethroned after close to a year of DSAF being online. Congratulations dude, relish that victory.
Don't worry, the rest of the game isn't like this. This one song is an outlier lol. It's a fun game, do try it if your able to, you might enjoy it! (^▽^)
Twitter(現X)でバズったこともあり、このゲームをよく知らない日本人の方のコメントをよく見かけるので補足コメントです。
Q:このゲームはどんなゲームですか?
A:NOISZ STΔRLIVHT
