    Absolutely incredible, this is a game-changer. Having this functionality with the features as objects, and the detail of each, is a long overdue tool. Hit bullseye with this.

    This looks so cool in the video. I immediately tried out the freeware for some hours and was then pretty disappointed...
    I think, this plug-in could be much better, but there are several big design flaws, so I would never recommend spending money into this plugin for Revit:
    - Why is the topo imported aligned to project north? That does not make any sense to me.
    -Rotation of the topo is only possible in a catastrophic workflow, as the satellite image is a material surface and will not rotate or align automatically with the topo after rotations...
    -It's not possible to see what quality you will get with your order before ordering. You have to spend the credits and then you will know what you get...
    -Revit 2024 is supported, but place maker will still create topo surfaces instead of toposolids. If you convert the surface into a solid, the satellite image will not be aligned anymore. So you have do align by yourself, again with the shitty workflow.

    • @dennishuisman8534
      @dennishuisman8534 3 года назад

      Haven't tried the add in but I guess you should have project north aligned with True north for the site model. Link this to the model you're working on and create the location setup there.

    • @shanevaughan7809
      @shanevaughan7809 3 года назад

      @@dennishuisman8534 I'll give that a try, use "rotate true north" to bring the model back to the correct alignment for drafting. That should work it's just a shame the use of true north and project north end up reversed.

      @@beetledrift it might be sponsored. I use Revit to make my buildings, Lumion student to make my nice renderings (requires med-high end pc) and google earth+illustrator to make my topo. its all free for students (Illustrator depends what deal your school has with adobe). You can make a topo from an illustrator drawing on revit, it is time consuming (the longest I have spent is about 4 hours but it was an entire hill). I don't blame Balkan Architect for not disclosing pricing cause it might be a contract but this one is too much for us students. I usually don't even bother with the topo on revit. Lumion does that for me. I only do it if its required to give info for the site on a particular homework.
