I remember back over your journey some climbs you didn’t know you could make… and you did, some miles you didn’t know if you could make and you did… some challenges you didn’t know you could overcome… and you did. You’ve got this!

Renee, I can't speak for NH but I can for Maine. I'm 65, overweight and out of shape, with health issues and I go every chance I can. And if I can do it I know you Got This!!! One Day at a Time by putting one foot in front of the other! God Bless!

Are you seriously kidding me? There is absolutely no doubt in my mind you will make it to the top of Katahdin! I can'It imagine how overwhelming it must be, to do what you're doing, but you will do it the same way you've been doing your journey so far: one day at a time. Don't look at the elevation or even the number of total miles you have yet to walk. Just one day at a time. You've got this! Also, I probably have no right to say this because my longest through hike was 70 miles, but don't let the fear of what lies ahead steal your joy. Fear/worry does that. Take those thoughts captive. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I can't wait to see you summit that mountain!

Thank you for sharing your vulnerability about your anxiety, fears and struggles. You have overcome so much already. People who trained for this have already gone off trail AND you have kept going on. Adjusting as you need to, jumping ahead so you can get to Katahdin, hiking day after day in pouring rain, bouldering- and the list goes on. I am cheering for you!

No doubt the toughest terrain is yet to come. I got through it by reminding myself over and over that I had been training for 1700 miles and would never be better prepared to tackle NH and Maine! It wasn’t easy but I did it…and so will you!!!

    Couch… know this…
ALL the vlogs I have watched of both male and female hikers who have reached the point you are in this video seem to have a emotional episode of some kind… so I think it is normal for you to be in that head space…
    Give yourself a pass… have a meltdown… it’s all ok…
Then get on with it cause…
    YOU GOT THIS… 💕

You've come so far, you've already overcome obstacles that have felled thousands of people - and you're still doing this thing. You are far, far stronger than you realise. I hope you can enjoy the next few weeks more than you are right now.

Those stone fences you see in the woods all the time were not built for the sake of building fences. The farmers would plow the fields and have to clear the rocks as they came up from the plow so they would stack them up at the edge of the field and they would make natural fences.

Hey Renee, you are still killin it. I would advise against thinking too far ahead on the trail. If you focus on just shelter to shelter and ease up the mind lol. I know its hard since you have little time until back to work. Just a thought. Where ever you time line makes you end up, you have hiked and impressive hike period. You are still a badass in my opinion lol. Take care out there.

Okay Renee, come back to your "why". You said you are here to do something hard. This is hard and you can do it. Take one day at a time. You know even when you reach Katadin your not done but you will breathe and complete after a respite at home and the journey will end easier than now.

  • @Feribrat99

Looks like those skeeters really did get hungry on the trail by the size of the holes in your tent netting, LOL. They must be Jumbo 747"s by that measure.
You ignore people and just do you... you are allowed to have any feelings you want and to express them how ever you want to do so. I do not understand how people can think they can sit at a keyboard and tell someone else how they 'should' feel or that they are not experiencing what they are just because.. no reason or explanations are needed...
I am also watching Frizzle on her channel Chasing Blazes and she has had some righteous meltdowns lately and she is right, the wet and the fright of falling and also the pressure to finish is overwhelming at times. I know these videos are behind where you really are on the trail and She made it to the grail mountain of Katahdin with her tramily the other day, yet her videos are still tears along the trail, LOL. This is okay and you have this girl, A sucky trail day is better than a sucky day in the office is the truth
timelines being what they are you are here in the moment on the Tube and yet you are already halfway through those last 400 in reality.. hopping dimensions is what you are doing and that is awesome....

You most likely receiving these messages, encouragement, support with NH behind you. You can do this! Yes, it will be difficult but as your friends reminded you, you are just walking. Only think about the next step, not the next 4,000. If the AT was easy, everyone would be doing it. Remember why you started this. Be safe ❤
