Denise, I am so glad you have found delight in the beautiful Pigment Trail book that I shared with you when it came into our library. I had fun showing my coworkers this video yesterday, as none of them have seen the book yet, because I have had it checked out since it arrived! I have been using it for inspiration in my own art journals, and the colors are indeed amazing for color palette challenges. I love watching your videos on my lunch breaks. They are uplifting! You inspire me and are much appreciated in my life.
My Denise Love watercolors from Masha came the other day. I LOVE these colors and testing them out soon. She sent me a little gifty along with it and I love the little hearts w/ the irridencent glaze. Super Fun!!! 🥰🎨
Gosh, Denise, that Pigment Trail book looks really delicious - and it gave me an idea. Any of us could also create a similar art journal of our own collection of favourite photos, magazine cutouts of patterns or colours or shapes we love, gelli plate papers that we have made, etc., in order to create our own little inspiration journal! I loved the demo with the pastel pencils. I've never used them, and I love the idea of doing tiny abstracts like the one you made! Something else to try!
I so enjoy your reveal videos and your introduction to different artists, books, supplies and so on is such an inspiration. The viewer who send you that lovely book shows how much you are loved and respected.
Good morning. Great video. The hauls are always fun. Paisley is the word you were looking for, lol. Me and words don't get along either.....likely way more often than happens for you. 😁I've never had a problem taping pastel paper. Maybe Im not using the best stuff.
Your art hauls are helpful! They helped me realize that I, too, have an art supply collecting hobby. I just found the "perfect for me" watercolor pallet at Home Goods: A white ceramic tapas serving set...an oblong tray with lip and 3 small cups. Score! But I especially like your flower shaped pallet. Unfortunately, my work area requires something that is not so wide.
I'm glad you enjoy the hauls! I love the white ceramics at Home Goods! A few of my very favorite ones I use as palettes came from there! I always take a walk through and look. Thank you! 🥰
Shopping! My favorite. Thanks for sharing. I’m laughing at your palette obsession. I love platters and have hauled some back from France in my carry on or suitcase (no damage). One is in the shape of an artist’s palette. I’ve had to stop.
I always enjoy a haul, love you palettes, they are all beautiful. I already put the rip ruler in my cart for next time I order from Amazon. I have never used Pastels, I have plenty of art supplies that don't get the love they deserve, don't need another. Beautiful painting! Thanks Denise!!
i discovered your channel a few days ago and have not stopped watching! so inspirational. i love your work! i have 4 sketchbooks going at a time now lol. no time to watch paint dry...move to the next one. ($5.00 at 5 below. not too bad haha). also thank you so much for the supply reviews. i have no money to waste on bad materials. i love the layering, the grunge pieces, pencil scribbles. kind of like collage, but more personal and creative. ty
Squeeeee!!!!!Oh my goshes! I received my DL set of Masha’s Watercolors yesterday! I am sooooo happy I snapped them up! They are gorgeous…and I appreciate that you did all the work of choosing the colors! LOL (I hate that part! I’m the most indecisive artist when it comes to choosing colors!) It’s been a while since I’ve added some new colors, and these are the loveliest.
@@2lilowlsstudio I’ve swatched them out a couple of times now. You’re so right…they do tricks! I’m going to make some collage papers with them. I think the textures will be wonderful. (I may, however, eventually need “all the colors”, as you frequently say! LOL)
I didn't open my own Sketchbox until I could watch your unveiling video! I so enjoy watching you show us all of your goodies. I've got the Pigment Trail book and the metal rip ruler in my cart! Your palette collection is just lovely!
I always love your art hauls with an art piece following. Your Collab with Masha sold out in less than 6 hours I do look forward to getting one of her samplers. I love Margot Halloc's videos.
Those did sell faster than I thought they would. Otherwise they wouldn’t have been in this video that was already finished. We talked about those in December, so it took several months to make those! That’s a lot of work making watercolors! So glad you enjoyed this! Thank you! 🥰
I've been so excited waiting to see what you did with this months sketchbox! I read the little pamphlet that came with the box and these are water soluble. I don't know anything about pan pastels and have no ideas in my tiny pea brain. Now, thanks to you, I do. I was super confused at first glance. I thought 🤔 really weird eye shadow??? I've never seen anything like this, uncultured art swine that I am 😂 but I'm gonna give it a go. What's the worst that could happen? Another glorious mess! 😊❤
Haha!! Does look like eye shadow!! You should check out this Chanel - youtube.com/@dawnvanderstoep_artist?si=qcF6Z55SD3wRcOSC she does amazing things with the pan pastels! Thank you! 🥰
What a fun haul Denise. I love the colours for the box this month. Also really loved your art work at the end. Thank you Denise and take care until next time. :)
Great fun. Got my SketchBox yesterday and those pencils are beautiful love how nice they are to hold nice and thin. On my wish list now lol. Some lovely things in the haul. Want that pigment book now too!!
I just love Margot, she’s funny and so talented as an artist, her videos make me laugh 😊 Thank you for sharing this art haul always fun to see new things.
I recently got into pastels -- not the pan ones, though. (Terry Ludlow pastel are a-m-a-z-i-n-g!) Thank you for sharing your experience with them. I follow Monet Cafe for pastel inspiration, as she is a self-taught artist. Your art haul today was so much fun. The watercolor palettes are just beautiful. There are so many talented people out there. Many blessings, Denise. You rock!
She has a great channel for pastels! Dawn Vander Stoep (www.youtube.com/@dawnvanderstoep_artist) is my favorite. She is super creative with pastels! So glad you enjoyed the haul!! Thank you! 🥰
What a great art haul! The Pigment Trail does indeed look inspiring. I appreciate you sharing all these books with us. I have been avoiding buying pan pastels for years. They are so beautiful, but do I really need another addiction- lol. The colors are beautiful. I’m the person who recommended the Artistro pens. Actually, my least impressive one was the extra fine tip. When you get a chance, I hope you will try the others, because I do feel you might get a better impression of their opacity.
Hello. I'm interested in purchasing the sketch book you showed at the beginning of the video when you sampled the new pen to do white dots. Amazon? BTW, love your videos and go all the way down your playlist!! ❤
Do you happen to have a cross reference of video name to supply name discussed? I’m looking for the video you discussed the inktense blocks in. Thanks!
I bought the same metal ripping rulers. They are both the same which was a bummer. They are just too flimsy and floppy for me. Almost NOT usable on WC paper.

@@2lilowlsstudio You are most welcome.
Ordered the Cerritos book . I’m a complete novice with watercolouring and this spoke to me . Lovely video to watch . So very relaxing.

Definitely have to get that out for a test soon!! 😊
That book the pigment trail! 😍 I just fell in love. I need to check that up, and see if it´s available here in Sweden. :) See you in the next video!

Your one stencil you couldn't think of reminded me of a paisley print. Is that what you were thinking?
Yes! It came to me later 😆😆😆
Hello. I'm interested in purchasing the sketch book you showed at the beginning of the video when you sampled the new pen to do white dots. Amazon? BTW, love your videos and go all the way down your playlist!! ❤
Here is that sketchbook: Hahnemuhle Watercolor Book A5 - amzn.to/3U9NiRE. Thank you! 🥰
Stencil was a Paisley! LOL! I get it, we loose those words we dont use all the time.
I thought of it later 😆
Hey Denise. If I order some of Mashas watercolors does she give you something? I was going order through your link if you get something.😊
No, I don't get anything when you order from Masha's, I just like promoting small businesses I have found and love! Thank you! 🥰
@2lilowlsstudio ok well I messaged her and told her that I was getting some because I saw you demonstrate them. Have a great week.😊
You too!! Thank you! 🥰
Hi Denise. What is the Stabilo Pencil that marks on anything you refer to all the time ?
This is it.. comes in a few colors. I’m usually using black: STABILO All-STABILO -Black - amzn.to/3URofU8
The yummy stencil pattern is called paisley
I thought of it later 😂😁
Careful with your new rip ruler. The pointed sharp edges are really dangerous. Very sharp. I actually taped that edge on mine.
Definitely looks like a weapon 😂
Do you happen to have a cross reference of video name to supply name discussed? I’m looking for the video you discussed the inktense blocks in. Thanks!
I don’t recall at this point. ☺️
Also, what’s the paint you use in Tiffany blue color ?
I made this vide weeks ago - I'm not sure what paint you are looking at. I try to link everything under the video in the description for you 😊
the stencil was paisley pattern
I remembered it later! 😁
I bought the same metal ripping rulers. They are both the same which was a bummer. They are just too flimsy and floppy for me. Almost NOT usable on WC paper.
Good to know!! I love my big rip ruler. Thank you! 🥰

Thank you! 🥰
You might have referred to them as mineral paints … flat of course 😂
Ah. I use those a lot in my videos. I found the sample pots at the antique store. They are acrylic paint: fusionmineralpaint.com/
Thats the one ... thanks 🙂
Paisley is the pattern.
I remembered it later! 😁
