I am a proud father of a 29 yr old, my only child. And since the second I saw my daughter for the first time, these kinds of videos hit me every single time. Could be a video with 50 reunions and 50 times I will be grabbing for the tissues. Prior to my daughter, nothing hit me, nothing grabbed my feelers like they do today.
My fiancé served in the army for 10 years and my cousin is active in the Air Force and I promise them coming home is everything to the family’s! Huge love for our active military and our veterans ❤️🇺🇸
As an American soldier, i really appreciate your guys' respect and appreciation for our warriors. It's bittersweet actually. Because you two have more love and respect for my country's warriors than a large number of my own countrymen. I'd also like to mention that i, as a soldier, a warrior, also have the utmost respect and love for your nation's warriors, and your citizens. Obviously Britain is one of America's closest allies. And we will forever defend each other when needed.
I can't remember where I was coming home from but my sister didn't know I was coming home. She was working as a loss prevention officer at a large department store. So when we walked in we told the lady who I was and my sister didn't know I was home. So I went to the sporting goods section and told her to call my sister about a suspicious guy there. I heard her sneak up behind me and that's when I stood up and turned around. She absolutely lost it lol.
My husband served for 30 years and our son attended a elementary school that all the kids had dads on active duty. They would all get so excited for each other when their dads were coming home. It was great!
When my Dad , who was in the Air Force, came home from an assignment we greeted him at the airport. He had been gone for over a year. I cried all the way home and when my Mom asked what was wrong I told her that my Dad didn't hug me or kiss me and my heart was broken. Mom assured me that I had plenty of big hugs and kisses from my Dad.........I didn't remember anything about our initial reunion. I was 11. A very memorable day as I'm now 72
I love these videos, probably because I know exactly how they are feeling. The first time my husband came home from a war zone, I almost knocked people over to get to him when he got off the plane. It is not a feeling you can ever fully explain to those who haven't been through it, and I have never forgotten that feeling or emotion.
same, my dad was in the army for 32 years. deployed 3 times ones over to iraq back in 06 and another two times state side. his mos was medic, when state side he would do medical check ups for soldiers leaving for deployments and coming back from deployments.
Thank you for your service. Evidently, Millie & James are with their family all the time or like being away from family for long periods. hahaha just kidding ;)
I served with the U.S. Navy for 26 years through 11 deployments with countless missed birthdays, anniversaries and holidays. That's over 8 years away from my family. Leaving was always hard because you are leaving your loved ones behind but you are also excited to be doing the job you've trained so long for. Coming home was always the best feeling. Fortunately, I was home for the births of my 4 children.
As always, awesome! When I see the level of enjoyment and happiness between the children and whichever paren,t it only brings to mind the number of children just like these that aren't gonna have a homecoming.........of any kind. Thank God for those that do make it home.
Man, I felt this one. I have a kid in the military and I am lucky to see her once a year. But when I do it is pretty much this same scene. I just don't wanna let go of her!
I'm the daughter of a 23 year Navy veteran, the sister of a 23 year Navy veteran, and the mother of a 20 year active duty Navy sailor (so far). I've seen, and felt, many departures and reunions over the last 70 + years. Right now it's been 2 years since I've seen my son . . . maybe this summer.
God bless our Blue Star (family member deployed) and Gold Star (family member killed) families. As a former military brat myself, I know that the families have it rough.
This brings me to tears. I remember when my brother got home from Vietnam I was so exited to see him. Cause my best friends brother didn’t make it home and I was so scared mine wouldn’t either. God Bless our military ❤
His Majesty's Armed Forces have some pretty touching homecomings as well. Do you remember when an officer in the RN surprised his daughter in front of the Queen, her Prime Minister, and a national TV audience?
In the first reunion in the restaurant the guy sitting at the table might have been helping the soldier by keeping the mother occupied so he could sneak up to surprise her
I was in the U.S. Navy and every time I see one of these videos I cry like a baby, because I know what they are feeling and it is great that you guys react to these. Thank you!
The ones that make me cry the most are the ones when the moms come home. It seems like they have their children and have to leave them. That is so sad. God bless all our soldiers and thank you for your service. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I’m a Army veteran and I have two brothers as well as a nephew who have all served. One brother is still in. Every one of these videos hit home for me. Thank you for sharing this guys.
I planned to surprise my family when I came home to Indiana from Vietnam. The joke was on me. They neglected to inform me they had moved to Texas. Boy, was I embarrassed. In any event, this made an old man cry.
I love these videos so much as I can relate to them as a child of a career Air Force man. My father served Vietnam and then Thailand for 1 year each. Was temporarily assigned to Guam, Okinawa, and Germany for 6 months at a time. I cried every time he had to leave and was ecstatic when he came home.
My brother was in basic training during my wedding so they wouldn’t let him come home for it. He did surprise me by calling at the reception (years ago before cell phones). I cried so many tears I had to hand the phone over to my mom as I couldn’t talk. It does leave you speechless and he hadn’t been gone that many weeks (maybe 7 weeks?) but I couldn’t help it.
Every one of those made me cry. Beautiful reunions.❤ Those brought back memories of my own husband coming home, several times in the 20 years he served. Each time, our children reacted much like those children did. Laughter and tears. ❤❤
This one always gets me. It makes me feel for the guys who don't have anyone waiting on them to get home. I got to experience it both ways, the first deployment my dad was standing there waiting for me to get off the bus. The second deployment life happened and I arrived back just after my dad had surgery and was unable to travel. It is a special kind of loneliness to walk past the families streaming out of the stands reuniting with their loved ones while you just get on a bus to go to an empty barracks room.
I'm an American and it blows my mind to think of none of my family being the military. I watched a couple other videos as well and one of them didn't even know anyone in the military! It's crazy because I've grown up wondering if my uncle or my dad or my grandfather will come home and will I ever see them again. So yes it is very real here and I hope you never have to deal with the worry of a family member in the military.💓
Anyone who hasn't had a loved one deployed will never fully understand what these people are feeling. My wife was in Iraq and Afghanistan as a SeaBee attached to Rangers and SEALs. When I saw her coming home, that was the first time I cried in over 27 years.
These always hit me both my parents' service we were stationed overseas in Germany. However, my father finished his service early than my mother due to giving birth to myself and two brothers So when she finally came home she kissed us out of bed And when we and when we woke up it was just like how the videos you see here we embraced her with so much love
i came of age around the invasion of Iraq and it was bad as our high school grads went into the military when that hit. during my high school years two of these coming home events happened. one in sophomore year and once at my graduation. there were rumors of bad PTSD with the soldier during graduation as he helped kick in doors during the house sweeps in Bagdad and took a grenade but survived. but the experience messed him up and he was twitchy a lot.
My brother was in the Marines and came to my school to pick me up.. this was in ancient times… but I knew he was coming. It breaks me cause I kinda know how some of these people feel.
I believe the Marine walking to the bride was the brother. If I remember the story correctly, he was going to walk her down the aisle, but wasn't able to make it by her wedding day, until he was able to last minute.
Sadly not for the Vietnam Veterans. My husband will never forget how horrible he was treated coming home. He was spit on and called some ugly name. I am so proud these on this video got a good welcome.
All the kids are happy to see mom or dad come home. But once they are about 10 and older they have an understanding of why they were gone. And if they are aware of current events they are probably aware that not all of them come home. Especially if they are living in a military community and might have been aware of friends whose parents didnt come home. I remember being 9 or 10 when my dad was a pilot in Viet-Nam and worried he might not come back.
To be honest, I'm getting desensitized to these kinds of videos...there's way too many...and the more elaborate, the quicker the over-saturation I think. HOWEVER...I love and respect and honor the armed forces of my country immensely!

I cry every time I watch a solider come home. Much ❤for the military an their family

7:50 The marine had just graduated from the academy.
The gentleman is his grandfather, who also was a marine.
Part of this is getting to hold them and knowing they are safe. They could die anytime while they are gone, so it’s such a relief to see them OK.
My fiancé served in the army for 10 years and my cousin is active in the Air Force and I promise them coming home is everything to the family’s! Huge love for our active military and our veterans ❤️🇺🇸

No way you cannot cry watching this video just tears of joy n love😊
Huge respect to our veterens out there. Hugs for all who need it!
As a military kid I’ve always loved these, y’all have a great day
I always cry when I see my granddaughters reaction when he daddy comes home from deployment. It’s just such a sweet moment!
I remember how I cried when my Dad came home from Vietnam, these videos always bring me back to that time.
There wasn’t one video I didn’t cry 😂

That’s awesome. That lady was probably super happy to be part of that.
@@HyperWolf She was!! She almost cried when I was explaining the situation to her lol. It was so sweet!!

I haven't seen my mom in over 12 year and this is just beautiful to watch 🥺
I hope and pray your mom returns home safely
These videos always hit me pretty hard. I was in the army and the feeling this has when you’re in that moment is emotional af
I send you my utmost Respect and Admiration.

@@FEARNoMore it’s definitely a hard thing to deal with. I remember my girlfriend dropped me off at the airport to go back and it was just as emotional

Am I typing ok ? My eyes seemed to be extra watery while watching the 😭😭😭. I really enjoy your videos 😘🥰😘🥰
The immediate peace that rolls over the parents faces is what pure joy looks like. God bless our military families!

These videos must be a tough thing to have come up on recommended for Gold Star families.
God bless our Blue Star (family member deployed) and Gold Star (family member killed) families. As a former military brat myself, I know that the families have it rough.

I spent a little over 25 years in the USN. Coming home makes everything worthwhile.
His Majesty's Armed Forces have some pretty touching homecomings as well. Do you remember when an officer in the RN surprised his daughter in front of the Queen, her Prime Minister, and a national TV audience?
These are the best videos!!!!! No matter how many I see they are always special!!!
No matter how much I see these videos I always get tears in my eyes.
When they leave and you don't know if you'll see them again....when you do it's amazing. The relief and happiness.

Happy Sunday!

These sorts of videos are amplified by how emotional Americans tend to generally be. I'm even tearing up and I don't know any of these people!
Absolutely love these... as a military wife and mom these get me every single time...
These homecoming videos get me every time
Nothing more touching then the reuniting of family... These kinds of videos tear at the heartstrings.
I'm not crying, your crying! :)
I was a mess right from the start! These videos always get me right in the feels!🥰🇺🇸

with videos like this silence says more than words
Loved this, thank you

Do more of these
Everyone thinks about the sacrifice our service men and women endure. Seldom do we think about the sacrifice their family makes.

Ok, @9:49, that one made me tear up.
Heroes. Any one who serves in any country.
mothers love , one of lifes true miracles
Let's put the reunions in the big screen with you - the hosts - off in the corner. You had me for 30 seconds.
Happy tears!

I have no words. Bawling.

I wish we Brits could raise our level of respect to this.

To all the marines and sailors out there Air winds of falling seas
In my previous statement it was a veterans day event at school when dad showed up to hear me sing I never got thur the song because I saw him
The brother wasn't surprised because he was in on it. How do you think the mother got there at just the right time.

I never see any British Coming Home Reunions. Do you have some to share with us in America?
That didn't happen when my father came home from Vietnam. People were spitting at him so he had to take his uniform off fast.

The one from the Navy couple was sad. He came home to find out she is marrying his twin brother.
