I think as long as the dev continues to flesh it out with more interesting content over time, I think it’ll be fine since there will be enough content for people to not get immediately bored of. Among us entered its ironic “cringe” phase because everyone was bored at the lack of meaningful content, leading to mod overdoses and irrelevant content that fed into further boredom.
It will always turns into "way too popular so it must be cringe". Dumbass edgy kid trying to be special play games almost nobody knows, but the second the game stops being unpopular they call everyone playing it cringe for the sake of being different

What matters is a consistent sense of style, which Lethal Company gets 10/10
There is a clear art direction in lethal company and the lighting is weirdly sophisticated. Dont dismiss that.

Very few games have a button that is just a silly thing to do with friends with no gameplay benefit, it is surprisingly effective at bringing the community together.
