No doubt.. most of these guys are trying to hit a distance with the most lofted club they can. Luke is looking for the easiest shot he can make to hit a target.
difference between a pro and someone like garrett whose all about hitting a 56 127 yards full. i get the opportunity to play with pros...absolute sticks like kwon and they all hit clubs like kwon. feel like garrett is concerned with hitting the loftiest club the farthest and that in a way is changing the mindset of golfing...in a worse way imo.

Most professionals can hit a pw that distance to precision yes. But that’s also a distance that pros will hit a gap or sand wedge as well. Just depends on variables and flight. People like Garrett and Brad are able to use more loft because they naturally have their hands more forward at impact hence a lower trajectory with wedges. Their dynamic loft with a 56 will be more like what a pw or 9 iron is for most amateurs.

@@Nicholasa155the skill ceiling may be high for many sports, but objectively much higher for Hockey. Those two sports include a ball and a net. Hockey is played on ice with skates and a shit load of gear, controlling a small object with a stick. Most people know how to run, and most people know how to kick or throw a ball, meaning the average Joe can participate easily. Strap skates and hand a stick to an average Joe… no chance.
@@WarrenDunlop96exactly. If you’ve never even skated you stand zero chance to even have fun with your buddies. They’re all just as hard at the peak professional level but hockey is the only one that requires more than just walking or running.

You think there’s just some weird thing where left hand dominant people decide to play hockey? Most right hand dominant hockey players (good ones anyway) play hockey left handed, and golf right handed.
In Canada its more common for right handed people to shoot left and vice versa. In the US its the other way around

Great fun! I appreciate all the Good Good boyz for their various styles of playing and charismatic personalities. One of the things I love about Kwon is that seems to drift off inside his own head and disconnects from what is happening sometimes and then plays crazy shots just to entertain himself. Rather than going right at the pin with the right club, he often takes a wrong club just to see if he can control the distance with a big draw or fade or crazy spin to suck it back etc. GOOD GOOD for him.
Shout out to The Lights, one of the coolest golf experiences. Learned golf here in the valley, it’s a golf paradise.

Just an idea for a challenge: You do something similar where you have a 6 v 6 (you could do whatever number of people) at a par 3 course and however many times someone on your team gets on the green is how many times you guys get a chance at a putt. Say Garrett and Bubbie are the only two who hit the green they can decide amongst the group what two teammates get to putt. If no one hits the green then you have to reshoot and gain a stroke. Makes it interesting instead of seeing a bunch of birdies.
Every hockey player I’ve played with can just pound the golf ball… it’s insane 😂 but also most of them are single digit handicaps as well
