This video outlines the formulae that are used to evaluate engine performance, include the power produced (brake power) and the power consumed (fuel power), as well as the brake thermal efficiency or overall efficiency of the engine.
Calculations are carried out for both 2 and 4 stroke engines to provide points for comparison and to demonstrate how the formulae can be applied for each engine type.
