Very fun looking build, awsome stuff. I saw VortiX do something similar but he actually builds double upgrade structures and gets the Guant and Hexan upgrades simultaneously 😮 If the #1 player is doing that it just shows how critical they are in this matchup I think! I'll definitely be trying to mix in some Hexan play next time I ladder.
great video really helped my gameplay against vanguard. Miasma felt super weak to me initially, but using it as zoning tool and not as a pseudo storm works really well when combined with mass brute and a few hellbourne/magmadons.
I have played multiple games in which Miasma didn't seem to be doing much. If nothing at all. After watching replay, I followed a single enemy Gaunt. It was within the AOE of three of my Miasma casts in the span of seconds. And it didn't seem to have taken any damage at all. It seems through the vast majority of my games that Miasma has not been working at all. Even in this video, it looks like those fiends that showed up were from the dinosaur breath. Which is exactly what I notice in my games. That breath works to convert enemies into fiends. But not Miasma.
@@exceligence Hmm, that's a pretty serious glitch if so. Test it out in a custom game and see if you can replicate the results. If you can, I'd submit it to the SG discord under the bugs channel.
@@Apoptosis808GK Check your video. It looks like the breath that was causing those fiends to spawn. Not the Miasma. I already submitted it to feedback. I'm trying to find out if anybody has tested this as well.
@@Apoptosis808GK yeah, nightfall infest does not seem like a core element, I am curious about miasma. So far I did not produce hexen at all, sticking to gauts but this made me lose almost always if vanguard player survived to like 10 min and had decent kiting skills
@@Apoptosis808GK ok so I did use it a couple of times against competent vanguard that would probably off me with my old composition and miasma is super oppressive! It's good that they nerfed it a bit xD It is not automatic win but finally those bioballs are killable! Thx for the tip, works amazing.
Doesn't make sense. Says not moving out with hexen or creeping map. Nobody knows what any of that means. I lost because I have no idea what I am doing. What anything is. What anything does. Or anything on the map. This does not help explain anything on Infernal. I made a meatfarm and I made iron box and conclave. I tried to make the units on them. And I lost.
Hey! Totally understand the confusion, as I come from years of RTS experience I can sometimes gloss over details that newer players certainly need in these videos. This video is certainly aimed at players who are more familiar with RTS as a genre, and I could have made that more obvious in the video - I will be sure to try and keep that in mind as I continue making content around this game. In the mean time, I would encourage you to check out some RTS basics videos on RUclips from other creators and the untapped.gg Learning Library as well for a beginner friendly place to start.
If you don’t understand what the basic mechanics are a build video is not where to start. A build video should not describe that level of basics as it would clutter up the build info. You should either grab a video on basics or just mess around with every unit in a custom match. If you want to master build orders you are better off starting with StarCraft with pig and vibe’s b2gm series. Vibe for macro, pig for timing attacks. Basically you should think of a default build as pure economic macro, ie the most money you can make the fastest, then Build order is when you break away from economic development to make defense or offense, tech, etc. but really non of that is going to make sense if you haven’t dug into build orders or even the basic mechanics yet.
@@meat4every1 It might be correct that studying build orders and such in SC2 is a good idea for general RTS improvement. However, it will not in any way shape or form explain how this game works. Units, maps, objectives, functions all specific to this game will never be known from playing any other game. Nor will any claim to grab a video on basics with zero context. Considering if that existed, then I would have not found this while searching for that unicorn.
@@Apoptosis808GK RTS basics isn't the issue. RTS games are different. The issue is this RTS called Stormgate only. How to play Infernal for this RTS. The untapgg website is as completely useless as this video for beginners. Although the info there may be helpful for advanced users. It does not at all how to explain the race much less how 1v1 versus works in this game.
Weaver absolutely demolishes this type of build order! Make 3-4 weavers and go for Gaunt. Use the Weaver to pull in when they retreat and you'll just out value them hard.
Thanks for the reply. Honestly forgot I asked here. Is this build still effective as of 0.0.2 correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like it's 0.0.1 sorry if I'm asking too much. This matchup wrecks me as an infernal player. Still think I'm misunderstanding how to use miasma as I have taken fights where Vanguard standing still in miasma will still wreck my army often.
On a side note are hellborne basically mandatory for braking vanguard base defense. It seems like they can just hold off a huge force in general inside their base and you can't do a worker run by as their bobs are so tanky
This is awesome! Excited to try it out in my games.

Love this build, specially for getting used to having map presence while macroing back home.

hope it works well on new patch, I really need to deal with late game vanguard somehow
@daPawlak The nightfall infestation part won't anymore and miasma a bit weaker, but overall principal should stay the same!

I was thinking miasma would be strong, but I don't main infernals, so I wasn't sure.
