What a day for hiphop it was. Jcole x lil pump interview Joeybadass x lil yachty Kendrick theatened to pull out of spotify if they kept the unfair policies to people like xxxtentacion (spotify is now revisiting and will put x back on most likely.) Pusha t dropped his album and dissed drake. Drake responded with a diss track within 24 hours.. what else yall?
First J. Cole blesses us today, now Joey has blessed us. Joey I hope to work with you one day. I have a lot of production on my channel inspired by your sound. All those titled as *free* are also instantly downloadable. Thanks to those that support.
Kendrick helps X with his Spotify problem , J.Cole & Pump have a sit down , Drake drops a track on Pusha T ....... today is a good day Fr💯 *This shit is legendary ....*
ok i got it, joeys next album is coming: track 1 feat vince staples and style p track 2 feat flatbush zombies track 3 feat lil yachty 😂😂 cant wait for this 💯🔥
Diversity is beautiful ive never seen so much in hip hop before the past 3 years from rock inflyenced rap like lil peep and zillkami or trap rap like yahty and pump and boom bap like joey badass or lyrical like denzel kendrick j cole or party like rae shemurd or edm esc rap kinda like vince staples or old heads like em jay z or underground like $b pouya bones night lovell i think rap right now is amazing im annoyed people just dumb it down to this trap influenced rap
Point of Dialogue: No matter what you hate or love. Just Respect a persons preference in Hip-hop wether new generation, old school, boom bap, Trap etc.
This is such a dope podcast, u gotta link up with lord jamar on yanadamean godcast, or have him on here, would be some dope energy! and when UA comin on here? much respect tho, this is exactly what hip hop needs
Mate today has been mad for hiphop. Lil Pump X J. Cole interview, Joey Bada$$ X Lil Yachty interview, A$AP Rocky new album, Pusha T new album. + so much more to come this year... I can't keep up with this pace lol
Joe Baker Joey and Cole I can make an exception. But my idea of Hip-hop is different from yours. To me hip-hop: MF DOOM, GXFR, Roc Marciano, Pro ERA, TDE,Spit Gemz, Mhz...cats like that. That follow the 4 elements...these cats you mentiom are more on the industry tip if it makes sense.
89 Til Infinity Yeah I fully relate. I mean I have a very broad preference. For me my top artists are; MF DOOM, J Dilla, Big L, Joey, Kendrick, Nas, Tyler and Earl Sweatshirt. I'm not heavily into the 'lils' or the drake types at all but I appreciate what they're doing.
this is great... I never would have thought these two guys would EVER be in the same room bro.. let alone be really giving and kicking it. bro I love the spectrum of hip hop. the spectrum of fans.. #THESHIFT
Thank you for this. Joey and all of y’all. I want to say really appreciate these because I am a graff writer, producer, and firstly a Bboy from Lancaster PA that mainly gets down in the philly area representation get Illadelph Phlave one of the first Bboy crews in philly and I’m 16. And I fell in love with hiphop when I was 11 after watching freshest kids and style wars. And I know a lot about the history, the music, and the culture. I have been schooled by many OGs. So in essence I live and represent for the old generation to the fullest but am super young. And but the thing is I live in this new generation of hiphop trying to make sense of it all. Because of this I’m truly an anomaly. And just hearing the dialog and thoughts of both of your perspectives is helpful for me in understanding how to make sense of hiphop as a whole. So thanks again Joey you inspire me.🙏🏼
Brookes Gafeny it is true, he has corny 60's new age philosophies. Too naive, he thinks himself to be some humble wise spoke-person for the world, but all he does is preachy generic bullshit mixed with the usual regular generic bullshit.
joey's questions were testing him, to see if he was going to benefit the culture, using his platform to spread a message on real-world issues, if he was current with politics. I like that he was evaluating yachty instead of just blowing him off as ignorant like many people do. I got newfound respect for yachty for the way he handled himself with budden.
Yachty - " what year will it be in 10 years ...hmmmm???........ Joey - " 2028 " this is a meeting of powerful minds ........... Big Up Steez , one love
Joey who is saying you cant have fun... and have an actual message at the same time. No matter what beat you are on. What you are actually SAYING is what will always matter.
Kid Wave i think a lot of it is people hate that he loves himself and "has a blown up ego" when usually, you can't deny anything he says about himself, he earned his ego
Kid Wave hip Hop needs some one to take an L before him it was Meek. I think mostly because he DJ Akademics at the height of his popularity and his chat niggard and cause he clowned mumble rappers for not being able to sell out venues like he can
Clouwds Look at the facts first then come up with the reasons for why afterwards. You don't go to a murder scene and say, well we don't know why it happened therefore the murder never happened.
I don't really fuck with yachty or that generations music but I wish statik would've kept quiet more and had a bit of an open mind... He's the perfect example of an old head who doesn't even know why he's mad at the younger generations unless they sound exactly like the music he grew up with.
It would be really cool to see the boom bap rappers like Joey, hanging with the new gen. Like he did with XXX. Both parties could influence eachother imo. Would be cool to see yachty on some boombap, and see Joey or Dave East on some new gen ish.
I've figured it out. The divide is just the misunderstanding of the learning process. Back then the golden era was the interesting way to learn about hip hop. The new generation needed a new way of learning. It's no longer an interesting way to learn for them to listen to the respected og artist. They have Sosa etc...
What a day for hiphop it was.
Jcole x lil pump interview

38:28 Joey replies to Statik “ you’re getting old “ hahaha I love how Joey picking fun at him in this interview. Shows they get along well:)
In 10 years Yachty wants to be Terry Crews
Lmao g shit
😂😂
I don’t listen to Yachty, but he gained my respect after listening to this.
its crazy that joey is only two years older than yachty
hes an old soul
b47ance legend status already
Yachty is lowkey smart
Low key smart = average intelligence
@@jacobturner2179 He talkin kinda slow ngl..
Most definitely. Sadly we follow the narrative given by the haters. I don't care for most of his music but I appreciate his realness.
Today has been a great day for hip-hop.
Pro era in Ya area
47 Minutes one of, if not the best podcasts in the hip-hop podcast game.

Can't forget the drake track
Every artist you've mentioned has nothing to do with Hip hop it's all mainstream rap. And to the dude that said drake. 🖕
89 Til Infinity joey, Cole and asap have a lot to do with hiphop in my opinion
Joe Baker Joey and Cole I can make an exception. But my idea of Hip-hop is different from yours. To me hip-hop: MF DOOM, GXFR, Roc Marciano, Pro ERA, TDE,Spit Gemz, Mhz...cats like that. That follow the 4 elements...these cats you mentiom are more on the industry tip if it makes sense.

ITS BIG
Cole with the pump interview and now Joey with the yatchy podcast. Hmmmm...
Charlie Robertson Bridging the gap
Where kendrick at?
IT'S A CONSPIRACY
statik selektah talking bout shawn cee with the nike tee?
That's what I was thinking aha
Stromboli when?
38:20
I jus commented on lil pump x j cole vid saying yachty should sit down with kemdrick but this is jus as good
Thank you for this. Joey and all of y’all. First J Cole X Lil Pump now Joey Bada$$ X Lil Yatchy 😅
This was made before, it is exclusive on tidal first, then it takes a while to hit youtube.
MXXMM i just meant in terms of things being released today 👌🏾
Lyricists and non lyricists. It's a set up.
Don Santana rich the kid and kendrick 😭😅😂this is cuz real rap is actually dying so they need to do something to get gella views
Joey/Pro Era never let's down with the flame content
Yacty is wise, can we give him that?
where do I get that pro era hoodie tho
V. Babs check description
This era of hip hop is like the punk era of rock .. people need to relax music always changes over time
All these year of hearing Statik on the radio i honestly thought he was black😂😭
T-ramZ 765 disaapointed?
89 Til Infinity Nope just a little surprised
T-ramZ 765 bro me too lol
I always wish im in the room for these convos great podcast Pro
You should get RZA on this
jonathan romero rza and method that shit would be amazing
The mighty one
jonathan romero ghostface would be legendary
Get X on this
Jacob James Fuck that dude
Considering they collaborated, it doesn’t seem so far fetched...
He's in Jail...Free DMX
89 Til Infinity Hes talking about XXXTentacion
Joey should get all these new rappers on there, it'll be better for the both of them
I like how this podcast isn't one sided with the presence of an 'old head' and a 'new generation'. Good shit 👑👑
CAN WE HAVE THESE EPISODES BI-WEEKLY PLEASE LOL I CAN'T WAIT MAN
YES! I was waiting for this for a while
i feel like yachty is very aware of how certain people perceive him and he's just prepared to be questioned about shit.
Long live Joey Badass. Spreads positivity at all times and does not gossip and hate on people.
This is way better than jcole lil pump interview
J. Cole has so much ego that he doesnt let the kid speak.
Eh.. Idk if that was the case. I do think he could have left more room for pump to open up more, but if Cole didn't drive it there would be no video.
MXXMM Lol not even true
There would be a video if there was a camera, he just needs to learn to engage in a dialogue.
Brookes Gafeny it is true, he has corny 60's new age philosophies. Too naive, he thinks himself to be some humble wise spoke-person for the world, but all he does is preachy generic bullshit mixed with the usual regular generic bullshit.
this is dope! clicked on this right after the Cole x Pump interview!
This interview was hard to watch because nobody was listening, but I now have more respect for Yachty.
Aaliyah Deggs its not really an interview more of a podcast
joey's questions were testing him, to see if he was going to benefit the culture,
using his platform to spread a message on real-world issues, if he was current with politics. I like that he was evaluating yachty instead of just blowing him off as ignorant like many people do. I got newfound respect for yachty for the way he handled himself with budden.
Thanks Joey for this
joey this is the best podcast on YT this is the best man.
Thai episode is fucking amazing.
I honestly stopped watching the Cole x Pump interview at 17 minutes and came straight to this.
When's the xxxtentacion interview coming out
Need
Not anymore
Oof
This comment low-key hurt
@@angelplascencia6716 :(
Yatchy x Badmon on a boom bap beat = 🔥🔥
33:00 : 6ix9ine actually said that Pac and Biggie are a huge influence on him and his music tho (in that Montreality interview) - just sayin'
4:11 Joey: "thats a good time to write.... i wrote a lot of songs on the toilet" 😂😂😂😂 no wonder this nigga rhymes the shit
hip hop started off more similar to today than the 90's. Music that is fun to dance to, that you play at parties, not the most lyricism
Lil yachty on boom bap would be Magical
6 years later, & A Cold Sunday goes crazy
We need more of these
One thing i noticed is that the colour of the lights reflects the mood of the podcast
underrated interview for sure
anyone know where joey got his hoodie.Tings hard
Karim Velasquez-Malik It looks like a Pro Era hoodie because the crown. Check the website
16:24 “I didn’t feel like voting for her, but you had to” joey- “I didn’t have to” get wrect
slayer koby this nigga statik said he cried when trump won and said all amerikkkan ba to be a fuck donald trump album chilllllllll
Statik an old head with an old head😂
😂
You gotta understand where the dude comes from. Different times different game.
FLuX Nemo he ain’t that old lol 36. Kanye, and schoolboy q are similar ages
Mad respect to yatchy
I love what Joey doin for the culture 👊🏻
any chance episode4 is coming up?
“This shit still spinning” 😂 - Joey
Yachty - " what year will it be in 10 years ...hmmmm???........
Joey - " 2028 "
this is a meeting of powerful minds ...........
Big Up Steez , one love
Joey who is saying you cant have fun... and have an actual message at the same time. No matter what beat you are on. What you are actually SAYING is what will always matter.
this and the jcole lil pump interview is what the culture needs.
yo, please do one with the underachievers... would be legendary
the day Childish gambinio shouted out Bad an Bougiee the day 'new generation' began straight fax
Joey having a way more intellectual and mature conversation with Yachty than Joe Budden did
Joey is only a couple years older than Yachty. Joe Budden is like 40 or something haha
Another L for Russ
Dab Savage I really wonder why everybody hate russ? I really have no idea bout that
Kid Wave i think a lot of it is people hate that he loves himself and "has a blown up ego" when usually, you can't deny anything he says about himself, he earned his ego
Kid Wave hip Hop needs some one to take an L before him it was Meek. I think mostly because he DJ Akademics at the height of his popularity and his chat niggard and cause he clowned mumble rappers for not being able to sell out venues like he can
To explain why people hate russ just look up Nickleback. I bid u farewell.
He deserves more than one L
the only thing i disagreed with from this entire video was them saying the moon landing was fake lmao
Joseph Scofield You really think that was real? Lmao
Level Earth Berk why would they fake it?
Damn that's what got you I was triggered when he said Joey is not part of the new generation of hip-hop like he's 32 years old or sum shit
Clouwds Look at the facts first then come up with the reasons for why afterwards. You don't go to a murder scene and say, well we don't know why it happened therefore the murder never happened.
Level Earth Berk just tryna grasp why they would trick us into thinking they landed on the moon
The haters are the motivators. Truth ☮
Punk rap is what we gunna call it
Baron Bolanos I’m pretty sure that’s been a thing for a while now.
Wow yeah just antiwave
EH Miguel that hasn't been the official label for it. People just use the term "cloud rap" a lot
If Joey & Yachty make a movie, I want to be in it
Where do I get Joey’s Hoodie !?
Second! Keep up the good work!
VOTE LOCALLY JOEY. Your local reps impact your life so much more bro.
Much dank is coming
I don't really fuck with yachty or that generations music but I wish statik would've kept quiet more and had a bit of an open mind... He's the perfect example of an old head who doesn't even know why he's mad at the younger generations unless they sound exactly like the music he grew up with.
Dirty Raskull he way too bitter
Yo am i the only one who didn't understand wtf yachty said at 36:37? 😂😂😂
It would be really cool to see the boom bap rappers like Joey, hanging with the new gen. Like he did with XXX. Both parties could influence eachother imo. Would be cool to see yachty on some boombap, and see Joey or Dave East on some new gen ish.
lmao the contrast between statik select and yachty is hilarious
This is real talk right here
thx. miss u steelo
Why do people keep saying yachty fell off?
YKO Ijin cuz they not on duhhh
A lot of his original fans prefer his older music
Yonas h yea his older music sounds a lot better, he needs to start working with perry again
Cause dude can't catch a hit
First to fall off you need to be on top, nigga sucks man he's trash as fuck and he knows it
What hoodie is Joey wearing
Important artists of our generation
Hope they drop that hoodie Joey has on
Ale lol
this was a dope conversation
I've figured it out. The divide is just the misunderstanding of the learning process. Back then the golden era was the interesting way to learn about hip hop. The new generation needed a new way of learning. It's no longer an interesting way to learn for them to listen to the respected og artist. They have Sosa etc...
yay they actually talk about music
48:12 Lil Yachty talks about Conversation he had with Trippie Redd comparing his music and career with Tekashi69s
Ugly God and Joey collab? 😂
Hip Hop thanks you again Joey.
Interesting mix here
Could do with some mics ay ?
bring in some pros joey ffs lol
Statik aint a pro?
Starfock he means other rappers I guess, like Nyck or Kirk
