I'd actually love a full deck of 3d cards to bring to locals. I know no one would care cause it'd be the most epic thing ever.
I was thinking of doing something similar myself but use layers of printed clear vinyl instead so it wouldnt have actual cut outs but still have a 3d effect. Great job. Looks amazing.

I got engaged, got a dog, got married, changed job, and am now trying to figure out when I can get the Neos sorted. Will most likely be post nats, hang in there noodles

I plan on making some of my own, besides the ones used for the 3d effect, about how many cards do you think should be used to pad the thickness of the project?
I think I used about 20-30 random cards to pad the back and fill in the gaps.
It depends on how deep you want the artwork though 😊

Thanks! I did use actual cards, but I chose to use one of the tin reprints to keep the cost down

I want to do something similar, how many copies of dark magician did you use and how many cards did you need to layer it?
Hi, I believe I used around 10 copies of DM, but I'd get around 15, just in case you need to do some extra stuff.
Most projects like this use spacers between the cards, but I just used more cards. In total, I probably used around 30 cards.
I have like 500 Naruto Cards, bro i would love to try this someday

Why use so many cards when you can put a piece of white or black spunge in between the first and last card abd also little pieces in between the dark magician parts ??
For the central art, I absolutely agree that you can just use a filler. For the border, I personally hate the way shadow boxes look when they aren't solid. I wanted this to feel weighty and slightly more premium, hence cards for the borders.

Why you used so many cards instead of normal plastic/paper to fill the middle part?
Great question!
Using paper or plastic fillers typically does not completely fill the space and you end up with ugly gaps on the different layers. For the cleanest layers, more cards is the way to go. Plus I open a lot of packs and would rather reuse cheap stuff that I have rather than be using up new resources

Ask around reddit. People usually say about. 80-100 . U still have to buy the cards for them. Best to try and learn yourself.
Hi, sorry I didn't see this before, it depends on the card because majority of the cost will come from the materials but I'd charge £15+materials

@@CowboyMeetsPirate toon world is possible but will likely look strange because of how the cover has so much depth to it, you'd almost want a single layer that's at the front and back simultaneously
