They sounds so knowledgeable but have no idea they can recall their members of parliament who have been allegedly bought. By the way Kenya isn't comprised of Gen Zs alone, who gave the Gen Zs the Supreme authority to make decisions on behalf of everyone? Who told them when the constitution say power belongs to the people it meant Gen Zs? If the country will be dictated by these youth men and women who seems to have a voice of no reason, the country will dip in away coming up again will be a very stiff hill to climb. Much as I do agree with you that these guys appear to be hotheads who fail to see the importance of planning ahead, but I also do see that we are in a crisis quite close to 2007/8 or '82 or '97. In the 1997 situation IPPG was not set in the then constitution. Neither was the coalition government in 2008. Ruto's leaving may give us a constitutional problem but that may not necessarily, of itself, place us in an anarchic situation.

I wish I could be President Ruto. One minute I resigned from the Gen zs headache. Let them drive the nation the way they want. You have done all that the kenyans required, and indeed you did what you can. If it's the cost of living, and hardship it's everywhere in the world. Indeed your president of the people.
Oh guys again we should follow constitution of which is the best we have .....I guess what they mean is ...Ruto should start acting rather talking ....Action Action ...because again him moving out its again a problem
Lolz…no, they’re saying exactly what you hear them say, “Ruto and his entire government must resign” so that the constitutional mechanism of the Speaker of the Parliament taking over for 90 days before a fresh election kicks in.
You have good points young people but accept to be guided. A country cannot be led by emotions and feelings. A government structure was built over a period of time let's follow the laid down procedure for our good. Thanks for pointing out those faults.
Our grandfathers and parents first chased away the colonialists out of Kenya and they then thought about what next. Wakasema wacha tutoe kenyatta Sasa atulinde. The next plan will sought out itself
@@oumawicklif1279 or the colonialists will make the plan for this so called " Gen Z". You guys are playing a dangerous game. By weakening your institutions you are just inviting the western wolf in...
How can you use the constitution for your rights and yet ignore what it says if the president leaves. As much as we support what they are fighting for, a Government has to be in place to avoid anarchy. The fact that you did not exercise your right to vote is not Ruto's fault.
The anarchy thing is a propaganda that Ruto uses to bring fear in his supporters. What follows after the ruto government is gone will be there.. Did our grandfathers and parents fought colonialists when they had who to succeed them in mind? No, they chased them first then looked for mzee kenyatta where he's imprisoned
They're here to make GenZ's emotional. That's why they can't paint a clear way forward. And their proposal to have entire government resign is not practical. Its obvious they are a government sponsored trio.
If the protest are leaderless... how are these individuals on the panel speaking for the thousands of individuals whom are protesting? Each individual has different needs/concerns. Leaders unite and provide a common direction for the group. GenZ's will accomplish nothing until they identify leaders that provide a path which aligns the movements needs/concerns that should be addressed. Hence why Ruto has yet to make any significant revisions addressing their concerns... how can he resolve the individual issues of a million different GenZ's.
I request with much humility that the three of u, when the govt approaches u to bribe u or coerce u trying to buy u, please, hv a stand on what u blv in.. U'll go far!
Guyz I love you but our biggest downfall is our being vague. Yes we want good governance and ruto out but what you are failing to answer is HOW DO WE GET THERE PLZ.
These young people need to be given guidance by the older generation. They might have zeal but some wisdom is lacking. There's no way they shall remove a Democratically elected President. I think they are caught up in their own hype & the media is helping to puff up their ego.
If I was President Ruto, I'd stay with just 8 ministers of a very strong team and a global consultant like price Waterhouse. They come up with proven strategies to achieve the best results. 🇰🇪❤️🎉💪🏿😘
There has to be a plan. The same constitution that gave us the rights for maandmano is the same constitution that rules us and give us the right to form a Government. Its the same constitution that gives IEBC the rights for elections. What they are talking about is putting the constitution aside. Then what separates the Gen Z from what Ruto has done?.
These young people are smart. The journalist is trying to push them to provide a plan, but she is not really hearing them. From the discussion they recognise two problems. One the person who was given responsibility to govern has fallen short of the constitutional expectations, before and after the protests hence the call for him to leave with his team. The second problem they realise that it is a systemic issue. Even if the current president goes the institutions and systems of corruption will remain unless they are completely transformed. Therefore, an election wont solve the entire problem. The rot is deep.
So anarchy ? Civil war ? A military purge of all institutions ? Is that the genius plan Gen Z has for the country? Every time they talk I suspect more and more that they're sponsored by outside forces ! Nobody in Kenya want such chaos !
Let us accept that Gen Z has achieved significant milestones over the last 30 days. But let us also accept that the youth will need to RESTRATEGIZE and REFOCUS.
A Nation without a leader is a catastrophe. I was a child during the1982 coup attempt and I have never forgotten how scared we were as we we heard gunshots at night and the army on the streets. There was a curfew .... looting , shortages etc..this young people do not know that power change in a Nation is not a smooth process once there is chaos. Gen Z have genuine issues but they have no sound solutions when it comes to the stepping down of a President. Let us learn from failed Nations what not to do..... Alternative political leadership is just a theory. We need National leadership at the top for us to be a Republic. We have a constitution which dictates the transition of power and it actually uses existing leaders to take control so there is never a power vacuum at the top. . Let us stop pushing for something we cannot handle. The protests are now doing more harm than good and for the sake of peace they should stop. Shalom.
Fear and Worry may be good motivators but adrenaline rushes only last for 30 minutes or so. You can't live 42 years on adrenaline. At some point you need to realize that you must face your fears. Kenya must face her fears.. We are not like any other nation. We are unique. Our young people are unique. Let us not bunch them like other failed nation agitators. And anyway what is a failed nation. Who defines it. Leadership has been lacking for 3 generations. Our generation sat back and watched looters take prominence in politics because we said it's not good to rock the boat. We celebrate when known drug dealers and murderers became most and senators. We liked the flashy lifestyles of our entertainers and politicians and so when the young people don't espouse to this we wanna tell them to take the chill pill. This is not right.. It is not right that our fathesr have to reach 80 before we offer them viable leadership. The baton has been held for too long in the hands of the elders.. I blame Gen x for failing our country. Those born during the struggle for independence surely should not be still fighting. It is we who have are the 2nd borns of Kenya who ought to take charge. We should be having 40- 55year olds in government offices. We blame Gen Z but how many of us are standing up for human rights or against thievery. The true vacuum is not coming but has been there for very long.
They have already answered the Question, WHAT NEXT STEPS is the government going to take to address recent killings and deal with corruption? But of course RUTO has NO ANSWERS nor ordered killers to be incarcerated until further due investigations are done. So it will make no difference if he is not in office.
What next will follow immediately they are gone. Our grandfathers and parents first chased away the colonialists first before saying or knowing who would lead them.. Immediately they chased them, they thought about mzee kenyatta.. So relax you just help us chase ruto out first
@@oumawicklif1279 Much as our freedom fighters started fighting without a day after plan, they were starting from scratch. From zero. Today, we have a constitution. And we are wiser and more informed than they were. Our forefathers would expect us to do better than they did. A plan is absolutely important. The PSs cannot run government on their own. What are SMART goals? The SMART in SMART goals stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound. Defining these parameters as they pertain to your goal helps ensure that your objectives are attainable within a certain time frame.
Smart Sir, what is your solution? Because if you don't have a way forward that's new from anything we've ever done... let them do something different and show the way. The problem I've seen with African vs West is that we're still patriachal. That's why we still don't have many PhD holders in their 20s and 30s. We look down on young people because of their lack of experience instead of adding our experience to their voice. Criticize and contribute
The time is nigh for change in this country. We cannot continue to make similar moves and use the same system that has failed our parents and generations before.
And they don't want to listen to anyone with contrary opinion! They think they're the only one who are learned and have the monopoly of what truth is! Rage without wisdom

Wakwende what's so hard for them to wait until 2027? Aren't we a democratic country with elections every 5 years and tetm limits? That's what democracy is, the moment we shun this and go for our own way of thinking that is we boot you whenever we want then this country will go to the dogs very quickly! Are we many than Mungiki? The answer to that is No, are we many than chikonroro? The answer is a big NO, now if all these groups realise that all we need to do is fill up Nairobi with protestor and walah we kick out the president who is on the seat why will they not do it complete with their leader! Let's not joke with democracy remember democracy is sweet but when you nature it wrong it can be deadly than you might think! Today is Gen Z saying Ruto must go tomorrow its gonna be Mungiki saying GenZ's president must go and on and on....but like they say wacha tupewe wembe tujikate kwanza ndio tukilia tutakumbushwa msiba wa kujitakia hauna pole!

Ruto and Gachagua should resign and let the speaker hold in custodial position for not more than 90 days. Then we go for fresh election. That’s what Gen z meant to say
Who will be the replacement ? Another corrupt politician with pretty words but no plan who has the backing of foreign powers to remain in power ? You people are too naive you have no idea what awaits you if you surrender your institutions just because of a moment of anger. You are not the first youth eager for change that have ravaged their country because they thought they were saving it ! The west knows how to use you to renew it's supply of corrupt and incompetent leaders. Why do you think the middle east is the way it is and china is the way it is. China managed to endure (at a heavy human price) and manage to grow the country and it's leaders slowly. But the middle east fell to the arab spring orchestrated by the west. I weep for my continent. A government isn't a club!!These guys are holding the current government accountable based on our constitution, but they are ready and willing to violate the same constitution; because power belongs to the people! How damn this guys sound?!😊. This is the most ignorant young people I have heard on a Tv show, yet appearing to be smart. They are saying that the president and deputy president have hijacked the parliament!😊 Why did you elect a Mp who can be hijacked? They sounds so knowledgeable but have no idea they can recall their members of parliament who have been allegedly bought. By the way Kenya isn't comprised of Gen Zs alone, who gave the Gen Zs the Supreme authority to make decisions on behalf of everyone? Who told them when the constitution say power belongs to the people it meant Gen Zs? If the country will be dictated by these youth men and women who seems to have a voice of no reason, the country will dip in away coming up again will be a very stiff hill to climb. I Support holding the government accountable for good governance, I DO NOT SUPPORT VOICES OF ANARCHY.
Am in total agreement with you and the problem we have is that even the parents who owns such media platforms seems to really want the downfall of the current government.. because they were the losers of yesterday ..
Kids who have no understanding of what is happening around them yet we can give him such airtime to speak hot air
I love your way of thinking, at least the wisdom they lack is in here

How can you use the constitution for your rights and yet ignore what it says if the president leaves. As much as we support what they are fighting for, a Government has to be in place to avoid anarchy. The fact that you did not exercise your right to vote is not Ruto's fault.
The anarchy thing is a propaganda that Ruto uses to bring fear in his supporters. What follows after the ruto government is gone will be there.. Did our grandfathers and parents fought colonialists when they had who to succeed them in mind? No, they chased them first then looked for mzee kenyatta where he's imprisoned

Great conversation, exceptional passion…except lack of a clear plan forward
They're here to make GenZ's emotional. That's why they can't paint a clear way forward. And their proposal to have entire government resign is not practical. Its obvious they are a government sponsored trio.
All must go......we support you 🙏💗🙏
This is not practical. They're just rallying the emotion of the masses.
@@MichaelMarosi your own opinion
I believe now the nation is taking a new move forward.
I wonder why they are really struggling to answer Yvonne's questions directly. "What Next?"

These young people need to be given guidance by the older generation.
They might have zeal but some wisdom is lacking.
There's no way they shall remove a Democratically elected President.
I think they are caught up in their own hype & the media is helping to puff up their ego.
Exactly!!!
Will Kenya be the first to remove a democratically elected president? We ain’t special bro...

Nope, a president can be removed through passing a motion of no confidence with the president

leadership vacuum??we already don't have leadership WANJIRA

This is exactly the dialogue Ruto was requesting for....live on citizen tv✌
Let us accept that Gen Z has achieved significant milestones over the last 30 days. But let us also accept that the youth will need to RESTRATEGIZE and REFOCUS.
Anarchy will not bring us freedom, accountability will. Ruto is going nowhere till 2027.
You will not believe it.😊

What anarchy... People protest peacefully but the government plays dirty.. The government is causing the so called so anarchy
Why is Yvonne fixated on what next. She is fatigued already??I guess she is not Gen Z..😂😂😂😂😂. Mambo bado.
😂😂😂😂😂
Not fatigued but worried , gen z have not seen a collapsed country and the older people have so they are more cautious
Shalom.

This people are not answering the questions .what next if the president resigns.
They have already answered the Question, WHAT NEXT STEPS is the government going to take to address recent killings and deal with corruption? But of course RUTO has NO ANSWERS nor ordered killers to be incarcerated until further due investigations are done. So it will make no difference if he is not in office.
Stop repeating that question, they have clearly given given an answer if you bothered to listen
